I'm the GM, so all of my characters are as evil as I need them to be.

Last Jedi I had racked up a couple. But they were all against bad people. Otherwise it's GM full time.

Well, during a long runnning WEG D6 Star Wars campaign, I had a character that was a younger brother to my Jedi. Umm, the character by the time he was killed had acrued 60+ darkside points. I must admit, it was refreshing, in a twisted sort of way, to play a force-using character and not hold back.

    okies...

you all are about the nicest group of folk i have ever seen....

oh.. and by the way... MasterDagon...60+..
no lie.. i ran that mess.... hehehheeh

it was one evil act after another.. it was great.. i just sat back and let MD do all the work....

btw... as far as campaigns go.. that was definitely a platoon size group...but still one of the best plot arcs ever..

I'm the guy with 1. I've had a few more than that, but heroic actions count for a lot. Most of them came from Fear.

    One

He tortured a bounty hunter for information after the man tried to kill him. He considers it justified because he endangered his droid

    Two

First one: My character wanted to free slaves and went a little overboard on the Hutt slavemaster, killing him when he could have easily disarmed him. His first and only mission as a Jedi.

Second one: After leaving the Jedi Order, my character joined the New Republic military and used the Force to crush someones windpipe before he fired on a bunch of civilians.

In both cases, my character felt he had done the right thing. As did the slaves and other people he saved.

I voted hopelessly evil for my character but he doesnt get darkside points any more :D cause he took the Art of the Small Feat :D

One of my players in my game rack up alot in one single act ! act least 5 at the very least

he was playing a Jedi Padawan in the game so when his master and him sat down for the night to eat dinner he served a young girls head to his master in a bow of soup !

i told him that he didnt fall to the darkside. He jump over to it he now has about 30 to 40 darkside points so far !

Shouldn't he be playing "Homocidal Killer: The Mind Numbing"? And people wonder why I'm such a stickler about Jedi and Force Sensatives when I GM.

Well, within the confines of the game, how many DSP could you gain with a single act anyway? I mean, yeah, you can kill a lot of people, but at what point does an innocent's death become meaningless? Tarkin killed billions, possibly trillions, of innocent people with a single order. Did he gain billions or trillions of DSPs?
So at what point does an evil act become quid pro quo?

I think that depends on the GM and what it is that your character does to deserve a darkside point or points

Dex, don't you know, blowing up peaceful planets was like viagra for the old guy. It allowed him to overcompensate for various shortcomings. Surely he thought it worth the DSP risk, be it 3 or 3 billion.
However, on topic, I'd say the DSP count is determined by the intent of the evil, not the consequences. Sure, he killed millions, but millions of DSP would eat him alive so fast you'd think he was leftovers after Thanksgiving. Were the consequences severe I might also give a few extra if they knowingly accepted them though.

It was only one act, so I would only give one DSP.

Also, since Tarkin wasn't Force sensitive, he wouldn't suffer the physical deterioration associated with too many DSPs; that only happens with Tainted and Dark Force users. As far as how many DSPs my character has: 0, in 7 years of playing him, on and off, he has yet to earn a DSP. Crack it up to good upbrining by a Star Dragon Jedi Master when he was young.

Then what about Vader and Palpatine? Surely Vader has done more than 16 evil acts as his DSP count says. Palpy only has 32...that's like nothing for the person in whose name entire races would be destroyed.

Well, remember that with Palpatine he likely didn't do most of the dirty work himself.

And with Vader, we can't be certain of how many times HE was attacked first on sight -- which would not net him a DSP for dispatching a Jedi.

Surely Vader has used Force Grip more than 12 times(Anakin had 3 DSPs at the beginning of AotC and he gained at least one for the Raider massacre).

Well, we know for certain he got one for killing the Blood Carver on Zonoma Sekot.

Whether he got more than one, I don't know -- he used Force Lightning (one) and maybe killed the Carver in cold blood (two).
