Before there was Pele, Beckenbauer or Monsieur Le Headbutt, there was Ferenc Puskas, "The Galloping Major", captain of the great Magical Magyars Hungarian teams of the 50s, the first foreign team ever to win in Wembley, a year before suffering perhaps the greatest upset in the history of the sport in the 1954 WC final to Germany in the Miracle in Bern. After fleeing Hungary he went on to star for the dominent Real teams of the late 50s, establishing the sports predominent club force in Europe.

Clearly the Player of his Generation.

A great of the game. He played such a crucial part in shaking the huge overconfidence and arrogance of the 1950's England side.
