Ooh, it's Chris Brennan...I keep reading about him in The Age! This is so cool...

Any chance of an encore presentation of Jedi Heritage?

    Ummm...yep...that would be me. :)

If you come along to any of the Skyforce meetings there is always a chance of a repeat performance, or (once I finish the DVD) you can borrow the finished product from the Skyforce Library.

    Skyforce details.

Cool! I was looking at the Skyforce web page the other day, actually, I was wondering what it's all about.

I read that you built your own Darth Vader replica armour and perfected the stride...that is SO cool.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...do I detect sarcasm PS?

    Nope?

The suit is now retired, after nearly 7 years of being Darth....it takes it's toll.
(I can only imagine how Dave Prowse feels)

If you come along to Skyforce, be sure to say hi.....although I won't be at the April Minicon.
(Full day event, multi string program)

    Hey, I wasn't joking!

And I've been handed an injunction recently that means i have to stay five feet away from sarcasm for the next week. It's killing me!

And I see Dan's exclamation and raise it about four more of these - ??!!

The guy that has stepped into the boots is Steve Kelsall.

He purchased one of the Rubies "Vader" costumes recently........it's not exactly movie guality, but he looks good. (even if he is a bit shorter than me)

As for the retirement, you'd be surprised how much it can take out of your body wearing 36kg of costume, batteries, wires, etc......get's to be a real drain on the system after awhile....and I'm not that young any more (40 this year...urgh).

PLUS....7 years of sweat soaking into the suit......it almost stands up on it's own. [face_sick]

On the bright side, you've got both your legs and arms...think of poor little limbless Ani in all that metal...

Seven years is a very impressive run...I need extra ventilation after only five minutes in my plastic Vader mask ;)
