Chic, IL Karaoke with Chicago Force September 13th!!

It's that time of year for a fun event at our favorite bar and grill: The Blue Frog!!
Join us for good times, good drinks, board games, and, of course, singing. We'll start arriving around 7pm for a good seat and the singing starts at 10pm. Also, the Blue Frog is expanding to 3x the size than last time so it won't be as much of a fire hazard.

So here's the breakdown...

CF Karaoke is one of our most fun events each year... if only to watch Mark's latest rendition of a metal song.

Seriously, though, it's a good time and you should all come on out!

 

Well, I was going to do "It's Raining Men" but metal's fine.

 

I am not sure if I will be able to attend. There is a wedding that weekend that I might have to go to but there is also a race that weekend where I was supposed to be officiating.

 

Perhaps I will sing LaBamba at this.

 

I really, really should make it to one of these karaoke nights...considering singing is my job & all! I'll try my darnedest to be there!

 

OK, after many years of thought on this.

I really hope to make it too.

It will be fun to not be the KJ for a change and
maybe, just maybe, I will do something (note I am not a singer)

I hope to make this as well, I will be flying back from California that day, but I have had a blast at the ones we have had in the past. The bigger venue will be a plus.

and hope to stay around for at least
1 hour of Karaoke, which starts at 10-pm
NOTE: I just confirmed this start time
with a phone call just now, today Saturday 06,
at around 9.30 pm

so it should be the same for next week

Really wish the Karaoke would start at 8 or 9,
but for some reason,
(which baffles all KJ singers/fans I know, about 20)

Dang it, this is the same night as my bachelor party......so I'm not 100% out and there is a chance I could stagger in later.

 

C'mon, you could blend in with the other 10 bachelorette groups they always have there on Saturdays.

 

I will not be attending.

Some may have heard already but my Dad passed away Saturday morning, to our complete suprise it was not expected. I have been busy dealing with all of the emotional and legal stuff that comes with this sort of thing.

Dad's funeral is going to be Tuesday, and this up coming weekend we intend to spread his ashes at his favorite place, the Race Track.

I was really hoping to go but things happen.

Just got off the phone with Blue Frog and they won't hold a table for us (though they told me last week they would). So, make sure you get there early if you want a place to sit. Me and the missus will be there around 7 to hopefully hold a table.

 

I'm sorry to hear that Bat. I echo the sentiment that if you need anything, just ask.

 

We don't have an evening babysitter, so we'll catch you all at the next pro-crier event.

Is Blue Frog 21+? It looks like my little sister is going to be with me this weekend. I suppose I can look it up. I may do that now...

I need to be a super awesome sister to her and I don't know if she will be up to an evening out. We'll see. I'm hoping to convince her to come along.

 

My sister is 19 btw, so she's cool. Not THAT little.

 

She should be fine. Besides, Laura can be a surrogate mother in case anyone asks.

 

We've had plenty of times where a couple of people in the group were -21.

 

Now she says she's coming next weekend...

I guess we'll see! *I* will be there, though.

Hanging out with the CF, is always just the BEST

Sorry that the KJ started out so rocky,
and that the equipment was really beat-up,
(I think the KJ had to open up the CD drawer with a knife,
as the auto open seemed in-op)

But, more than the KJ getting Deb's music wrong with a very
bad mix,

She was disappointed that her custom disk did not play,
when the very next guy's did. I am unsure if this was a
DVD vs CDG issue, or a KJ error.

NOTE: we have been making customs CDGs for over 5 years,
and have never had one fail where ever we went.

Deb, was really kinda down when her disk did not play,
(and I just found this out yesterday)
because she (not a really a big Star Wars fan)
had written special "Star Wars" lyrics (paraody lyrics)
to a regular song, which I think you guys would have appreciated.

It was meant to be a surprise for us all,
but instead became a surprise for me at a party
we did karaoke at yesterday.

So, I am hopeful we all get a chance to to this again sometime,

but, in the meantime, am looking forward to the next fun chance
I can get an opportunity to hang out with the
most amazing CF
