Well, to be honest, I thought about it after switching off the pc.

Drei Studen! Mein Gott. In der Sweiz die Zuege waren nicht verspätet.

Three hours! my God. In Switzerland the trains were not/never delayed.

Try it, simply try to say it in German, Kostas. It might look difficult on the first sight, but I think it's easier. So... do it! :)

    >Also, Sabine, hast du gegangen in/im Copenhagen?
I would translate it with "Also, Sabine, warst Du auch in Copenhagen?", because "Also, Sabine, bist Du nach Copenhagen gegangen?" sounds more like "have you moved to". You could also say "Bist Du auch zum Meeting in Copenhagen gegangen/gefahren?".

And to answer your question... Nein, ich konnte leider nicht hinfahren. Ich musste arbeiten. :( Aber dafür werde ich beim nächsten Treffen dabei sein: Jedi-Con! :D
(No, I couldn't go there. I had to work. But therefor I'll be at the next meeting: Jedi-Con!)

(Edit: In der Schweiz waren die Zuege nicht verspätet.)

Mister, I've took a look at www.leo.org and which translation are shown there. There are some more translations like unrecht, nicht richtig, verkehrt. But I think 'falsch' is the most used translation. Maybe 'verkehrt' is another option. And the translation of 'nicht richtig' would be 'not right'.

I hope this helps you. Otherwise, check that site above. Although it's in German, it might help you to find translations. :)

I was learning it almost five years ago. And now I can barely remember any of it.

Und nun willst Du wieder anfangen? :D
(And now you want to start again?)

Thanks for the moving-hint about sein/haben, Nicole! I didn't know about that. :)

Johanna, just a detailed thingy: 'Ich soll bald schlafen' sounds like 'someone told me to go to bed'. If you mean 'I think I should go to bed', then I suggest to write 'Ich sollte bald schlafen gehen'.

    >daher bin ich erst am 02.00 Uhr nach Hause gekommen

Drei Stunden Verspätung ist viel! Wann musstest Du am nächsten Tag aufstehen? Hört sich nach arg wenig Schlaf an.
(Three hours of delay is a lot! When did you have to get up the next day? Sounds like bad less sleep.)

I learned a lot the past two years about my own mother language. It is different when you have to teach it as a foreign language.

Deine Kusine spricht auch Deutsch? Das ist schön! :D
    Woher kann sie es?
(Your cousin speaks German as well? That's nice!
    Where did she learn it?)

    >Ich war für ein Wochenende in Rodos (Urlaub).
    Oder:
    >Ich bin für ein Wochenende nach Rodos gegangen (Urlaub).
(I would prefer the first one.)

Together we went to German classes (50-hour ones)

Was bedeutet unterricht? Diese Wort existiert? Icj kann nicht finden diese Wort in das Woerterbuch.

What doeas unterricht mean? Does this word exist? I cannot find it in the dictionary.

Aber... Du hast doch Vergangenheit benutzt. Nur die Satzstellung war etwas unglücklich.
(But... you used past tense -> 'bin gegangen'. Only the structure of the sentence was a bit unlucky.)

    >Zusammen haben wir am Deutschunterricht teilgenommen. Insgesamt waren das fünzig Stunden.

'Unterricht' bedeutet 'class' und es existiert wirklich im Deutschen.

    Ich habe Deutschunterricht.
    (I have German class now.)

    Ich unterrichte Dich in Deutsch.
    (I teach you German.)

    Ich nehme Deutschunterricht.
    (I get taught in German.)

    Nur ein paar Beispiele^. :)
    (Just some examples.)

Wo sind denn die anderen?

    Where are the others?

There have been more on the first page of this thread. :)

Please skiara, teaching people German is fine. Forgetting your English is not;)
    teach -> taught ->taught

Anything else makes my eyes bleed.:_|

Vielleicht sind die anderen abgehauen, als sie mich gesehen haben? [face_worried]
Maybe the others legged it when they saw me?

    Überbrücker. :p

(Okay no lies, I used a translator for that and doubt it translated to what I wanted it to. But it's a cool looking word.)

And apologies in advance for not knowing how to say this...

Auch, heute mein Freund gab Geburt. Das Kind wird Zelda genannt. [face_plain]

Ich bin sicher, es ist nicht das richtige wort, Miana.
I am sure it's not the right word.

    überbrücken means 'to bridge'
I guess you were looking for something along the lines of Angeber (bragger)?

Aber 'Überbrücker' hört sich cool an! ;)
    (But 'Überbrücker' sounds cool!)

    >Übrigens die Freundin/Frau meines Freundes hat heute ein Kind geboren. Das Kind wird Zelda genannt/heißen.
    >Übrigens ein Freund von mir ist heute Vater geworden. Das Kind wird Zelda genannt/heißen.
    >Übrigens ein Freund von mir hatte heute die Geburt seines Kindes. Das Kind wird Zelda genannt/heißen.

I would prefer the second one. :)

Warum magst Du den Namen 'Zelda' nicht?
(Why don't you like the name 'Zelda'?)

Sorry. Das war nur die Ãœbersetzung. :)

Wann warst Du das letzte Mal im Kino?

(Sorry. That was just the translation.
When have you been at the cinema the last time?)

(Ok, now I have the feeling that my English isn't 100% correct again, but... yeah... correct me. ;) :p)

Ich weiß nicht, aber es ist sehr geeky. Die Kinder von einem meiner Freunde heißen Anakin und Arwen, So Zelda ist eins mehr.

And it means "to bridge?" Wow, I typed in "cheater." [face_laugh]

"When was the last time you went to the cinema?" is a better way. Though we really don't say cinema, we say "movies" or "movie theater."

Samstag ich ging zum Kino mit meine Patentkinder(?). Wir aufpaßten Ponyo.

Ok, Miana, das wäre dann wohl: Betrüger oder Mogler. Obwohl 'Cheater' auch schon in deutsch benutzt wird, besonders, wenn es um Spiele geht.;)
OK, Miana, that would be: Betrüger or Mogler. Though cheater is also used in German, especially in the context of games.

Ich denke das würde zu unübersichtlich.
I think that would become to confusing.
Welche Sprachen hättest du denn gerne noch?
Which langauages would you like to add?

    [b]Hallo Frau Lerherin! Wie gets?
Ich heisse Kostas und Ich war sein Student in der Deutch 2 50 Stunden Klass in der Zentrum fuer Erwachsenebildung.[/b]

    I wanted to say:

Rachel, ich würde 'Cheater' mit 'Schummler' übersetzen. 'Betrüger' ist ein wenig zu hart aus meiner Sicht. :)
(Rachel, I would translate 'cheater' with 'Schummler'. 'Betrüger' is a bit too hart in my view.)

Anakin, Arwen und Zelda? Wäre es nicht langweilig, wenn sie Zelda 'Susan' oder 'Jane' oder ähnlich genannt hätten? ;)
(Wouldn't it be boring, if they called Zelad 'Susan' or 'Jane' or something similar?)

Ah, danke für die Korrektur! :)
    Ich wusste, irgendetwas war falsch.
    (Ah, thanks for the correction!
    I knew something was wrong.)

    >Samstag ging ich zum Kino mit meinen Patenkindern. Wir aufpaßten Ponyo.

Den letzten Satz verstehe ich nicht.
(I don't understand the last sentence.)

Ein Multi-Sprachen-Thread wäre wirklich zu unübersichtlich. Aber für einen Spanischen Thread wäre ich zu haben! :D
(A multi-language-thread would be really too confusing. But I would vote for a Spanish thread!)

Hallo Frau Lehrerin! Wie geht es Ihnen?
Ich heiße Kostas und ich war Ihr Student im 50-Stunden-Kurs "Deutsch 2" im Zentrum fuer Erwachsenenbildung.
(oder: Ich heiße Kostas und ich war einer Ihrer Studenten im 50-Stunden-Kurs "Deutsch 2" im Zentrum fuer Erwachsenenbildung.)

Wie geht es Ihnen? -> more formal
Wie geht es Dir? / Wie geht's Dir? / Wie geht's? -> less formal, used by friends

Willst Du Deiner ehemaligen Lehrerin schreiben?
(Do you want to write your former teacher?)

(I enjoy Spanish and I try to learn Spanish for some years already. Unsuccessfully.)

    Why not?

Spanisch ist meine zweite Sprache (zweitesprache or 2 words?). Aber Mexiko ist sehr SEHR nahe. ;)
Spanish is my second language. But Mexico is very VERY close-by.
