    Looks good

Did he make it himself, and is he part of a costume group?

The costume is part home made, part ordered from various sources worldwide. Some easier - some harder.

He's not part of a group yet, and I don't know his exact plans. Besides, the costume isn't finalised just yet. This was very much a test run.

EDIT: BTW it's an ESB Vader.

    How tall is your brother?

I'm not sure of his actual height. Can't bring it to mind.

We know that David Prowse was 6 foot 8 inches in costume, and my brother is 6 foot 9 inches in his. He's not wearing platforms or boots designed to artificially increase his height, merely proper Vader boots. I suppose the helmet (which is a glorious thing in person) adds a bit more too.

Well, the ROTS helmet is much higher then the OT helmets because of the neck. But if your brother is doing ESB vader and has an OT helmet then it wouldn't increase height as much.

It's not only an OT helmet, it's an ESB specific helmet.

All I know is he's the right height when in costume. Rather imposing, too.

As it should be. I laughed at the Vader at LFCC on Saturday who was shorter then the stormtrooper in front of him :p

I should check this forum more often. I was there on Saturday. Didn't think it was too bad, not a lot to do really, but for me nice to look round the stalls, not much round here for that sort of thing and sometimes browsing online just doesn't have the same feel.

    i know,and they had carpet.
all in all i think the london expo guys do a much better job,all round.
they get your actual games manufacturers to attend along with real proper companies, like the manga art supplies people... not bob and teds tuppeny toy shop, off the kings road, etc.
okay, they may not get the first rate guests, but they do okay.
