Well, its only a few months till its release - what do you guys think it'll be called ?

Personally I go for "Rise of a Hero", or maybe "An end to Darkness"

    Ideas ?

Isn't it weird that the trilogy, which are actually each split up into two books, only got one movie each, and the children's book gets two movies?

Actually, LOTR is a single book that was split into three films.

I think he means that LOTR officially is composed of six "books."

But I think it makes far more sense to integrate the Frodo/Sam/Gollum story with everything else, instead of 3 hours of just Frodo/Sam/Gollum and then 3 hours of everyone else.

Actually, no, you're wrong. And like I said LOTR is six books published in 3 volumes of two books each.

Yeah, shouldn't you have at least updated the title? It doesn't even make sense this way, as there's no Part 3 of anything coming out or in development. In fact, I'm not sure there are any film franchises producing a third entry right now, let alone LOTR.

    I stand corrected.

Also, what exactly does thread crapping imply? You people have been using that term for two or three years running now, and I have no idea what it's supposed to be about.

Actually, LOTR is a single novel composed of six books that the author was forced to publish in three volumes and so it's now called "a trilogy". :p

It's better off they were divided into parts, reading a huge tome of a book would be awkward.

I only know of The Hobbit & the 3 LOTR books, what other parts are there?

It is odd that the 3 longer LOTR books had only 1 movie each and the shorter Hobbit book has 2 movies which will now be titled as each of the 3 other movies are (There and Back Again & an Unexpected Journey).
Then again, Harry Potter did something similar with the last movie of book 7 which was shorter than part 5 yet that was only one movie
