Well, I guess I'll be rooting for Butler from here on out. I'd really like to see them make the Final Four in Indy.

Hmm, I have that movie but haven't watched it in quite a while. Maybe I should. Don't know when I'll get the chance, though.

And there goes the final destruction of my bracket, with Kentucky out. Oh well, it was all a guess anyways.

 

Very happy Butler won. Totally rooting against Duke tomorrow. I want that no #1 in the Final Foir.

Also realized if Tennessee wins OSU will have gone 0-3 against the Final Four this year ...

 

WVU is the only piece of my bracket left.

That game was fantastic from a fan's point of view. I was up in Morgantown with a bunch of friends and the place was just electric. Fans were chanting and going crazy. Needless to say there were quite a few boos and profane words when Cousins decided to nail Butler in his manly bits.

Needless to say I'm stoked about this outcome. First Final Four since 1959!

EDIT: More good news for WVU, Truck Bryant is back for the Final Four. A broken bone in his foot won't keep him out now!

 

I was really happy with the results yesterday...hope that trend continues today.

I guess I'm on the Butler bandwagon right now.

 

Likewise, McClain. Though I think we'll be pulling for different teams today Yesterday it was the underdogs, today it should be the favorites

And its good for WV that Bryant will be back, though one always has to wonder how effective a player can be playing on a broken foot...

 

Yeah, I don't know about his effectiveness either. I can't think of anyone else playing with a broken foot. I know it happens in hockey regularly, but their feet are laced in pretty good. Not so much in basketball.

Rooting for Michigan State (I guess?) and Baylor today.

A couple of nuggets of info from an article in Indystar.com regarding Butler:

"In running its winning streak to 24 and going farther in the NCAA Tournament than ever before, Butler became the smallest school (enrollment: 4,200) in the Final Four since seeding was introduced in 1979. Butler will be the first team to play in a Final Four in its home city since champion UCLA in 1972."

Michigan State with a 5 point lead on Tennessee right now... hope they can extend that and put this one away

 

The way I understand it is that Truck will be the fill in for Joe Mazulla when he is out of the game. That way if Joe fouls out next game we still have a PG.

 

So pretty limited playing time, then, most likely?

And I want to know how in the world that foul got called to put Tennessee on the line with 11 seconds left... didn't look like any more contact than their pinkies. No way should that be called anytime, let alone at the end of a close game.

On the other hand, that was a blatant foul on Tennessee that absolutely had to be called. Thankfully, it did get called.

1 point MSU lead, 1.8 seconds left, 1 more free throw coming for Michigan State...

It would be nice if Baylor got the win today.

 

I just couldn't get into MSU - UT. Glad that MSU won, though, I suppose. They can be the villain in the next round against Butler.

Now, time to switch between Duke - Baylor and the Pens game.

Me neither. Deibler let us down against Tennessee. That game really left a bitter taste in my mouth, especially knowing it was Turner's last game at Ohio State.

Glad the Big Ten gets a team in the Final Four, though.
