And as an incentive to turn up I can even tell you the programme!

    * A look back at SWI's involvement with the Aussie Day parade and other similar events
    * A special Star Wars Valentine's Day chat - who would you match up in the SW universe (and no, Han and Chewie have already been covered off) ;)
    * A review discussion about Something, something Darkside
    * All three Pink 5 eps.
    * Auction

Yep, it's chock full of "wow, exciting" goodness about it :)

Remember it's now 2010, the year we not only made contact but ESB turned 30!

Bummer I can't come. I'm going with my bf to Chinatown to celebrate Chinese New Year! yay! Maybe you guys will be able to make it?

P.S. I felt I should point out I'm not Chinese or any Asian race at all. Though I love so much Chinese stuff I am sure that I was in my past life :p

    P.P.S. What is "SWI"?

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrgh!

    Missed the meeting...sorry guys.

Had a possible medical emergency at my place (my wife said she'd kill me if I didn't mow the lawns) so I couldn't go.

    Next time for sure.

Well you missed a good one in that it was the best attended event we've had since 2008, which included a couple of faces that hadn't been around for yonks.

Furthermore the kids programme room was a smash hit as I believe there were 14 kids hanging out in there at one point.

You know things are going well when people stay around afterwards to chat as they don't want to leave, well this time we had an army of people doing that so the vibe of the day was really good.

But we move on to the next gig which will focus on toys and collectables as the theme for the day.

Yeah probably, we know the theme is based around toys/collectables but haven't worked out what that entails yet.

Now that you've got a video camera/sound gear and editing software, you could easily whip up a vid of your collection to show. That'd be pretty groovy.
