Okay, I know there's a "European Invasion" thread in the Celebration: LA forum. Time for us Yanks, Canucks, and the rest of the continent to plan our trip across the pond.

Anyone from North America planning to go to London in 2007?

EDIT: Changed title to include the rest of the continent.

Are you including Canada or do Canadians need their own place? ;)

I'm gonna try to go. Maybe I can get a student load to cover the costs :D Probably go solo though, no one from my FanForce or family would be able to join me :(

I have a friend or two in England, though I'm not sure where they live exactly. I will seriously consider going to this.

I was seriously thinking of looking into if flying to England would be cheaper than flying to LA. I'd be coming from Upstate NY. I've been to LA twice now, but never across the big pond.

But on the other hand I know that a CE trip would be more expensive than CIV because I'd want to go and do more stuff in England while I'm over there and I'd want to bring the whole family so my kids don't miss out on the chance to go to England.

Wow, I would seriously consider doing this instead of C4. I could perhaps work a vacation in Ediburgh toi include a stop of this.

Oh I've seen the like so many times... [face_laugh][face_laugh]

BTW - We took my freind to Stratford because he was a big theatre/Shakespere freak - he was SO embarrassed to hear the Yanks in 'little America' he didn't say more than 3 words the entire time there was anyone else around!!! [face_laugh]

Oh, yeah! I forgot you were there last week as well...chances are you bumped into my mate and his fiancé (who is also my neighbour) and didn't even know it, as they were the only other Brits in town. :p

I haven't been there in something like 8 years! Not bad since I only live about 30 miles away! Yeah, I'm cultured! o_O

on behalf of the deltasourceonline team,i would like to welcome you all to the untied kingdom to celebrate this monumental event.
i'm trying to put to my wife the idea of offering some weary travellers a place to stay after their long journey at ouf house... as we are only forty minutes from central london and another twenty from the earls court exhibition hall... easy an 'under two hour' journey from my front door to the hall.
but my wife is very particular and house proud and doesn't want star wars geeks trapsing about the place.
i'm amazed she puts up with me,to be honest!

I believe they're referring to Stratford-upon-Avon, which is always full of American tourists.

The SCARY kind - the loud, over bearing stereo-typical American tourist. Two hours in Stratford on Avon will make you want to spend the rest of your visit apologising the every Englishman you meet. [face_worried]
