***Northern Banner Competition***

FYI - Eddie is gonna have a go at a draft for an A4 flyer for us too!

As for an icon....it will have to be wholly Northern - now what represents the North me thinks when you think of it....

Lucky for me that I finally got my butt in gear then

This is my "currently in progress" version - note it is just the top, I have to do the curve and long side part still (and have plenty more pics I can add in those spaces - including the Angel of the North - which I love a lot)

Been working hard on this today, boy did I find it hard to get good images for the side banner that actually fit (has to be a real thin portrait size!!!)

Here is the main banners added to the background of the main forum. I have to work on the top side image which appears depending to what size you have your monitor set too, I have an idea of a mix of wacky racers and the Beatles on Abbey Road Will try and get that all done now, I have the pics so its just a matter of editing together. Good old PhotoShop

If anyone has any recommendations for stuff to go to the pics, please let me know.

ha ha hey tim i like that banner - emmerdale and corrie great fun - ruun that past lord ogil to be passed unless someone has another one - we need to get moving on this - i sugest we have to finish this thread on the 1/1/06

I think there were a few other people making banners too, so lets see what they have done, and maybe we can do a vote on this at the date you suggested?

Yes thanks My Master ! Too many posts have gone on far to long now we need to be sorting somethings out on here !! The date for this banner to be sorted out was given - when all banners are done put them to a poll for x ammount of dates then - we have our banner - or if we dont this will carry on for ages

when does the voting begin?

 

1st of January. All entrys must be posted by then (including one for chapter icon) before I start the poll. Winner gets a nice shiny new title to go with their user name.

Please note that if we recieve no entrys for the icon i'll just be going with the FFUK:M one. (with the M swapped for N obviously)

Don't think like that, yours is great dude Mine is quite cluttered so it may be that people here will prefer yours. So go ahead and finish it, please. I am just happy I am getting practice in on PhotoShop again, means I will kick myself into gear over that SW website I have been planning for over a year. And we all now that a vote in the FFUK:North is not so clearcut as you may believe

Boss Ogli, I am just getting the FFUK Wales idea done for them this weekend, then I may *cough* do a Scottish one too as a peace offering to Dank Dude, I have a good idea for a Scottish one, I think it'll put a smile on their face, then I'll finish off any parts of the North banner - the reply banner and the advert side bits, then I'll have a think about the icon, I still believe the Angel of the North is our best iconic image of the North and doesn't represent one place (aside from where it is) over the rest, so I may use that.

Anyone know the proportions (in pixels) of the avatar icon btw?
