FF:SA PowerHouse Museum Hosting LOTR exhibition

The Powerhouse Museum in Sydney(where they held the Star Wars Magic of the Myth tour) will be hosting the Lord Of The Rings exhibit later on the year for 3 months...

So if any LOTR fans are out there which i am sure they are this would be a wicked event to go to if u can make it...

I havent made plans to go as yet, have to see when i have work holidays but i really want to go

And this time i really want to see the Opera House.....Last time at MOM i saw nothing just the MOM parties every night and the hotel room...

but alas, I'm saving my pittance of a pension to get to Melbourne for the big SW conference in May...

And this time i really want to see the Opera House.....

The opera house is cool. It's a building withing a building. (The internal rooms are in now way connected to the white exterior).

As for the pwoerhouse museum, I'd meet you guys there

 

Plenty of pics will be taken I think before i go i should buy some extra memory cards since i wont have a lap top to load them

Yeah it bummed me out too when i heard of the dates but since i am planning to go to Sydney Premiere with my stormie and troop with my fellow 501st troopers and then go to Melb. SW convention on the 21/22 May (Not sure about those dates but somewhat near) it will give me a chance to save up in between....

I'm counting the days til this one gets released, T-K! I want that miniature so badly, I can almost taste it....

oh, and of course, with the extended DVD of Return of the King, there will be soooooo much extra footage of Aragorn..mmmmmm. I wonder if they'll put in an alternate ending where he doesn't end up going off with Arwen, but me instead.....

Somehow me thinks that there are many characters from LOTR that are taken

And I would lay odds that there are many more that enjoy taking the image of one of them to bed.

LOTR is fun... but alas I have a big ol toury in Adelaide (Crown Tourny) that weekend. Who knows, if I win I may be KING!!!

Holidays are booked for the last two weeks of Feb. so i will get organised and book me a little trip up to Sydney for this exhibit... should be wicked since i have seen photos from other museums where it was held at....

well.....I just went out and bought myself an early xmas pressie......

LOTR Return of the King Box set. Oh, it's sooooooo good! I mean, most of the stuff that I was disappointed PJ had missed out in the movie when it was in the cinema is on the DVD - and more! Minas Tirith is beautiful, and a little keepsake box, even better.

I'm happy. Very happy. And it was $14 dollars cheaper at Target than KMart.

I'm going to go watch it now. Yay!!

 

Well I have booked flights and accommodation, will be going on the fri. 18th FEB. and coming back tues. 22nd FEB.

Should be plenty of time to see LOTR and other sights around Sydney and hopefully catch up with my 501st guys and maybe other FF people if they so wish
