Actually Malcolm.... the standard anolog cameras most of the movie industry uses films at 24 fps
but Lucas' Digital system shoots at a nice 81 fps

    I think it's 81... it's up there though

I believe that's what I said... that "Actual Film is only 24 frames per sec.(fps)"...

and that, in a recent artical in one of my film trade magazines, McCallum was talking Film vs. Digital and stated "with today's technology, we should easily be shooting and capturing at 100 fps". ~ POST April or May of 2004 I believe...

I'm not going to one of the top film schools in the nation for nothing...

EDIT: looked up the artical on the magazines web site, it was in POST June of 2002... here is the link if you're interested in reading it:
    http://www.postmagazine.com/post/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=21043
just cut and paste in your browser and happy reading ~ I actually used this artical and a few others in a paper I had to write for one of my classes...

EDIT take 2: dang, now I'm not finding it in that artical (though it's a great one) maybe it was in Film & Video magazine - I'll find it for ya - it was also a great artical!

Just thought I'd post my reactions of the Kevin Smith review I just finished reading on Sith. It completly rules out any doubt any fans out their could have of this movie sucking...beware, it is HEAVY in spoilers. But Smith basically said it rules and those fans who have been bitching since Menace will even surely be pleased...we'll see about that.
I can say I know I'll love it either way. Less than a month left...

Fandango lists "Giant Screen" showings of ROTS starting on the 19th, looks like no IMAX after all. At least for now, maybe they will do it down the road like AOTC, we can only hope...

I had a dream last night that it was midnight of the 19th. The theater went dark, and when the movie came on it turned out to be a gungan and ewok musical review....Man my homework is messing with my mind.
