Santa Cruz Boardwalk Rated No 1 in USA - According To Good Morning America

According to Good Morning America today...Santa Cruz Boardwalk was rated the No. 1 Boardwalk in the United States, beating out Coney Island, the Atlantic City Boardwalk and others. Even better considering it's our 100th Anniversary!!!

(And can anybody tell me what is "different" about these pics?*

 

I dunno, since I've never actually been there, *ducks objects hurled in her general direction* but I am noticing a distinct lack of people in those pics.

I think Bridget needs a Boardwalk trip!

 

Off season, either that or they are testing that tsunami warning system again...

 

I figure VERY early in the morning AND off-season. Yeah, one of the few times you'll ever see the Boardwalk this empty and not at 3:00 in the morning!

 

In the winter it is often almost abandoned. I was a docent for a travelling dinosaur exhibit that was housed there in the arcade area a number of years back and it was a ghost-town in the rest of the boardwalk whenever I arrived for my shift.
