I do want to do a full map rotation. We should turn on the voting system, though, so we can choose.

 

As much as no 2Fort upsets me... i've seen Murder snipe... so i'll go without

Nothing is more aggrivating than a good sniper on 2Fort.


Except maybe waiting half an hour to get into a server then getting booted cos your mum made you do the dishes.

Maybe that should be the "Clan Motto"; BYO Parachute Pants?

One day, we're gonna be called on our cover identity, and we're gonna be severely under prepared

Until that day though, we will remain Queensland Funky Fresh - breakdancin' crew and proud wearers of parachute pants.

Unfortunately I came in late, but twas good fun. Finally got the second last of the general achievements I need. Next one is for Dustbowl, then I can concentrate on the class specific ones.

You did miss a whole lot of fun, Magnus. The hired server filled up very quickly, and we had game after game full of good players who communicated well, covered each other and worked like a well-oiled team. It was a total blast, and I'm totally up for doing it again. Sammich is friends with a lot of players of that ilk, and having our own separate server that we were free to invite them into without the unwashed masses joining us was awesome.

And of course by the end we were all getting a little bit loopy, as exemplified by the aforementioned breakdancing exchange. All in all, I had one of the best nights of Serious Business on record. I'm totally psyched for SB Live now, especially since the turnout's going to be so big.

 

Heh heh, fun times.

Okay folks, I'm having issues finding my screen shots. I know I took some - problem is, not only do they not seem to exist, but I don't seem to have a Valve folder, or any of that stuff on my hard drive - makes no sense, they had to have installed somewhere...

edit: wait, never mind - I found one of them... Damn, that's a shame - I remember taking more fun ones than this one I have.

Alright, next question is how I change the format the screenshots save in?

 

...depends on the image editing you use.
I use photoshop, and it's just a case of opening it and if need be, "save as". Not sure about other editors.

And yeah, find them in:
drive:\Steam\steamapps\USERNAME\team fortress 2\tf\screenshots

 

I'm seconding (thirding?) last nights huge success. Straight I the bat, cp_well went really well as soon as we started playing seriously. Everybody knew what they needed to do for their team. I got my soldier record with the help of bbn (I have no idea how I survived that long. The other team threw everything they had at us, and we still stomped on them)

Playing on badwater was fantasic. Our team worked like a well oiled machine. BBN kept every body alive and goobs kept his dispensers running at maximum awesome while every one else called out shots for me. One of the best matches I've played.

Next week should be even better. The auto balance issues should be ironed out and we should put together a maplist so we don't have to faff about in the console (and I should know the console commands a bit better)

 

Yeah, that was awesome Sammich. I'm looking forward to next Monday even more than usual.

 

The auto balance was a real problem towards the end there. Well, end of when I was playing.

 

VERY much enjoyed the personal server! Autobalance was annoying but not unbearable.

I think i had the best round i've possibly EVER played on Well or Badwater... was doing pretty well in comparison to my track record.

 

Serious Business XLV: The Quest for Peace

We'll be on a custom server again. If anybody wants any specific maps, now is the time to tell me.

 

I played traditional Granary today for the first time in atleast a couple of months. Can we have that on the list somewhere? Just to mix things up.

 

I've booked the server for tommorrow night. Issues with the maplist and autobalance look like they've been fixed. We've got ctf_well up first and hopefully pl_dustbowl will be uploaded to the GA servers like I requested.

 

It's beginning to look a lot like Dustbowl...

 

Hilarious. But if I'd actually had a game like that on Dustbowl to the detriment of the other team I'd have that damn achievement by now

Well that was a fun night - I think I got about ... 5? achievements this evening? Badwater Basin is fun. Arena interesting, scenary nice, but I've no gift for strategy so my kamakazi antics aren't very effective.
