Chic, IL Star Wars costumes

I'm not going to be in town 10-17, but I really would like to participate in the following workshops.

 

The next meeting that is happening, not the next meeting that Phyllis can go to will be on the 19th, for face-casting..
Or so I thought...

 

Yes....the face casting is supposed to be this Sunday....

I gotta get on Bosh about putting out a supply list, ect....

Since the next Costume Club meeting will be at my house as Lionel and Emma will be out of town...I guess I should settle on a date.....

Since July 9th is the goodbye/good riddance BBQ for Bosh....I don't think we should do back to back CF that weekend and do the meeting on July 10th

...so I guess I will opt for July 17th at noon....

Emma...I know that you and your Dad will be out of town when the "usual" meeting date would have taken place...but please come out to my house (bring your mom too...she can hang out in the garden) if you will be in town on the 17th!

I will start a new thread about July 17th's "Basic Sewing" workshop....I know that Mike Hammer wants to begin his journey toward sewing....

I submitted the Costume Update to the Costume List-Service (for anyone who's signed up for it at the Clubs Section at www.chicagoforce.org). However, I didn't get a response to comfirm the email to go out....I'm guessing that Haz' hasn't put me on the list for confirming that particular club.

Did anyone get an email regarding Sunday's club?

The July 17-th Costume club at noon,
on a Sunday, sounds very good to me,
even though I work on Sundays, but do not have to leave
for work until 2.30 pm or so depending on exactly where
I am, which means, let me know where this is going on
at and I will show up.

pretty sure I did not get any emails on this,
but then I am probly not on that clubs list.

Dave, before emails go out to the list, they have to be authorized, and I don't think you are on that list (I think only Gina and I are). I've autorized it (I think) so it should be going out soon.

Ive got some sewing projects to work on if the face-casting falls through...

 

HELP!!!

Somebody, anybody....could someone who is attending the Costume Club meeting tomorrow PLEASE bring a video camera and tape the face casting process. I can't make it but I REALLLY want to learn this process, and a video tape would make an excellent instructional video for the club to use as time goes by and new members come into the fold or old members who just need a few pointers that they forgot. Maybe it could even get posted to the CF site down the line...wink wink Haz.

Also, if someone can in fact do this, just remember to focus the camera on the process and the subject, not on all the other people running around like madmen in the background. A face casting tape with close-ups of sewing machines won't do anyone any good.

 

Face Casting is officially cancelled. In the poll 1 vote was me, and the 2nd vote was Peaches, who admitted today that he didn't even plan on doing it, but just watching.

Well... I guess I'll have to email all the people that emailed me for directions, lets hope they receive it in time..
I guess this works better because I am comming down with a really bad cold.

 

How many people contacted you? No one emailed me to say they were interested in doing it. I assumed it was a bust.

Communication definately needs to be improved for the costume club to work.

Just follow the "Clubs" link on any CF.org page and use the "Send Club E-mail" link on the appropriate club page.
