Star Wars Insider Membership Kit

So now that the Membership Kits have gone out - what did everyone get on their Ewoks animation cell?

Mine isn't to exciting - it consists of about 3 light blue waves (water) about 4 inches from the top. Its about 3.5 inches long and a half inch wide. Thats about it.

 

Mine has a pair of Ewok eyes on it. I love it!

 

Mine was an Ewok's back, as if he was walking away.

 

Mine has an Ewok on it, but his back is turned he is a full Ewok though.

Ummm, I'm very curious. What is this about? (I'm also very out of the loop since I don't have an Insider).

 

Same here, like this and other things, I need to be updated on a lot of stuff that goes on, if ya dont mind takin time out to do so.

 

Each year fan club members get a membership kit that includes little goodies like stickers, membership cards, posters, promo cards, whatever. It varies from year to year. This year the kit included an animation cel from the old Ewoks cartoon that was found in the Lucasfilm archives. The theory is that each cel is one-of-a-kind since the animation is done in layers and frame by frame. For instance, one frame of the cartoon may have the background, each character, foreground objects, any moving parts (blinking eyes, running river) all drawn separately before being put together. So we're all ending up with weird little drawings, though I think we all agree they're still pretty cool.

 

Yah it was probably one of the coolest ideas they have ever come up with in my opinion, giving fans a real piece of the history.

Maybe at the next meeting everyone can brings theirs to show.

 

Mine came with (I beleive) Wicket, full front picture holding his spear. I looooove it.

Jeez, sounds like either I need to break down and get a subscription or ebay it. [face_shocked]

 

I cancelled mine after the first year b/c I didn't get squat...and I am finding it more fun to pay for SWG than SW Insider. Most of what is in it I can find on the web for free.
