    Cooler thing: finding $20 stuck between the driver's seat and console in my car. SWEEET!

    NEW AIDE!!!!!!! Ole Escaped-from-the-9-Depths-of-Hell Aide is RETIRED AND GONE. New, fun, helpful and KNOWLEDGEABLE Aide is AWSOME!!!!

    Also, kitchen may only be down one month instead of until end of Dec. Finally a light at the end of the tunnel that isn't a train bearing down. [face_laugh]

    Ok, today is actually involving a fair amount of the pissy and of the yucky. But! While I was compiling the mailing list for our non-profit's autumn mailing appeal, I found the name I based my Board name off of!

    Original spelling was "Vandecarr"...but the "Kai" part was the same! I had misremembered and thought I got the name from two separate ones and jammed them together. Apparently not. Hee!

    Prancing Pony Players at Worldcon!

    The inimitable Kel (our Merry and Arwen) has posted video and audio of our 2 half-hour performances at Worldcon!!! If you want to see or hear the stupendous stupidity and silliness that is us, check out the link, here:

    http://p3.bucklandblues.com/p3worldcon.html

    We do not guarantee perfect choreography (not hardly, in fact!), nor perfect singing (especially in my case!). But we can guarantee that WE, at least, had a lot of fun...and it seemed like our audience did, too. :)

    So a little bright spot in my otherwise worrisome Thursday *glances at MasterK*

    This morning I found this behind some mouse cages...

    [image=http://www.petalumawetlandspark.org/Pictures/KingSnake.jpg]

    About a foot long and very feisty. I felt like Steve Irwin herding him into a large trash can with the lid with him curling and striking at whatever he could reach (nothing but my pant leg). We took him out to the orchard behind some buildings where he can eat all the mice he can catch and grow big and even more dangerous.*

    *note: California King Snakes are not poisonous and I have some experience with these snakes and was very very very careful and had other people around at all times.

    I love critters of most any kind. That's a lovely California Kingsnake. May he or she have a happy long life, eating vermin. :)

    Look Who Showed Up In My Mailbox Yesterday!

    (My real mailbox, not my email...)

    [image=http://pics.livejournal.com/scendan/pic/001a6bek/s640x480.jpg]

    Brian Ching is one of the principal artists for the Knights of the Old Republic Comics. I met him briefly (while in Revan costume) at the Dark Horse booth at Comic-Con. He said, "Great costume! I owe you a sketch for that!"

    Wow!

    Just...wow!

    Everybody, go forth and buy Knights of the Old Republic comics! Because he's a cool guy! And a great artist! And besides, the comics are awesome, they really are!
