Hey Guys,

It was a "one off" Mad Monday...so we won't be back tonight.

Hope it was as entertaining for everyone to watch as it was for us to do.

I'm just glad we managed to kick some Trekkie Butt.

BTW...Whist is a card game that people used to play many years ago...so at least it's a real word....not like Quist.

 

The THEME was "Star Wars Vs Star Trek" so it was the members of Star Walking against the members of Austrek.

 

Well done! Let those defeated Trekkies crawl back to their heated Picard vs Kirk debates

Funnily enough PJ did a Google Search on Quist later and found it was a part of a tree from England.

Somehow I can't imagine that a normal audience being surveyed would have that in mind.

Still, it was fun for all.

 

Dags is possibly the most manic person ever to grace the studios of channel nine. Like an OCD kid without his meds. It was great though, full credit to all involved not just for having fun but for getting some cash for a worthy cause.

I'll admit, I switched it on after a deadpan/shocked phone call from JE and nearly burst. Very funny stuff.

Believe it or not, they actually encouraged us to be loud and boisterous. When the stage manager came up to us during the first commercial break I thought "uh oh, we're in for it now" but he said "keep it up we love it". I heard later on that our Mad Monday was one of the best they ever had.

The best part of it was that we are all good friends with the Star Trek dudes, so the show was bound to be a winner from the outset.
