I realized after talking to Mia last night that I never said that I finished my monstrous epic. Lest Ye Be Judged ended at 364,150 words on 3/30/08.

 

My cousin had a baby boy yesterday. No name yet, but they're calling him Omega in the meantime as in this is the end of the line... They have three other kids already.

 

^His name is now Josiah Oscar Macfarland...Joss for short.

Sorry i haven't been active for a while, school and jobs and family have been taking up most of my time. But I have two pieces of good news: First, I'm back and will actually try to get to some activities this summer Second, I found an old Star Wars story I had started back in January and have started to work on it again. It's a story that is along the "infinities" storyline and I am way excited about the way the story is turning out. I just need y'all to do me a favor: bug me about the progress every once in a while cause otherwise it may never get done

Where to start...

Finally have a car! Bought my cousin's old car in pretty good shape for pretty cheap. (It needs new tires *sigh* but yay car!!)

Finally remembered to go to the dentist to get cavities filled. (You'll wonder why this is a good thing, but dude, I got laughing gas while I watched a movie.) Plus it's a good thing to take care of teeth.

And I got my hair cut this week.

Thanks to a dictionary and too much commercials between innings, I can now talk baseball in German very badly, but I'm making progress on trying to learn a new language. If you can call being able to say "This is the third inning, fifth batter and there are two outs and the pitcher is Garza" progress. Meh.

Even though the Red Sox aren't in the World Series, I am cheering for the Phillies and they are winning so far.

 

Cleaning checks are done! Or, well, we're done cleaning for them.

 

Good for you. Don't you hate cleaning checks? I mean, I like having a clean place but when they schedule a time to come and check I just don't like it. LOL

 

Well, we passed that cleaning check...

And the Phillies won the World Series! Okay, so I was rooting for the Red Sox, but I wanted anyone but Tampa Bay to win.

 

My team hasn't made it to the series in years, but I am still loyal. GO TEXAS RANGERS!

 

I got a new job! Well, it's only for the holiday season (though it does have the possibility of continuing after that). But at least it's a job. Now to decide if I want to work there and at the one I currently have where I only work a few hours per week, to just have the one job, or to work the new one and still look for a different second job.

 

Very cool for getting a new job.

 

So, weeks ago, I started noticing that my sister-in-law Megan was getting chubby and my brother was acting really weird around her. I told Katey that I could swear she was pregnant and I didn't want to ask and find out she'd just been overeating. Well, last night, they made it official. I will be an aunt sometime before or after July 30.

 

I am DONE with finals!! And never will I procrastinate them until the end of the week again. But I'm done!

And I got a new phone. Yay!

 

I ordered my cap & gown! Just one more month of school left to survive. Eep!

 

Unless I hallucinated, I've got a job! Starts next week. For privacy purposes I'm not putting any details here, but you can always ask me later next time I see (any of) you.

Also, no wisecracks about the hallucination thing.

Thanks! My first attempt at a new apartment fell through, so here's hoping for the 2nd attempt... I've never had such trouble before. Guess I've been lucky.
