Amph ATLA and The Legend of Korra (ATLA live action remake coming Feb 2024)

Well if its the end of March, that means we'll get Korra, Dr. Who, and Game of Thrones in the same week. It'll be like Christmas.

 

I would be so happy if the run encompassed the Easter weekend.

 

Dunno if it's news, but Korra getting an art book? Nice..

Oh, and something about The Search Part 2..

 

It looks like the Season 1 DVD/blu-ray release will be on May 21st, according to Amazon.

 

^A lot of shows don't get put on DVD/ Blu-ray nearly that fast..

If Region 2 (or B, when talking about BluRay) gets snubbed for bonus content, I'm going to be pretty pissed off.

I'm curious if this means Korra season 2 won't start until after the release. It'd be stupid to not release season 1 before season 2 starts...

Nearly a full year after the season aired is a really long time. Shows with traditional schedules that end at the beginning of May usually release the DVD in September.

When does the first of the Search comics come out? I'll be waiting for all three; is anyone going to read them as they're released?

The Earth-Fire Nation place is allowed to remain (becomes Republic City?), Aang doesn't kill Zuko (lol), Aang's fangirls become the Air Acolytes, and Zuko talks to psycho Azula about getting Ozai to tell him where Ursa is.

A thought I had a while back...

There will be 4 books of TLOK. The first one was called "Air" and took place almost exclusively in Republic City (with a few scenes in the Northern and Southern Water Tribe) and a large part of the storyline was dedicated to Korra learning/failing at/discovering airbending. Now we know that in Book 2 Korra travels to the Northern Water Tribe (possibly even Southern?) and apparently spends quite some time there (RC would be featured, too, obviously). Wouldn't it make sense if in the subsequent Books Korra got to travel to the Earth Kingdom and the Fire Nation, respectively? To keep in the theme of the four elements cycle? I would love to see the modernised EK (imagine Ba Sing Se with technology!) and FN. And maybe we could finally meet Zuko!

 

If I were Bryke, I'd want to show fans the the Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation. I'd be unable to resist. As a fan, I'd feel cheated if I didn't see them.

If we were to see Zuko, I'd want it to be an appearance in a mid-season episode. A low key, thoughtful piece in which we can see a lot of him. Better that than a solitary appearance in a season / series finale where - inevitably - there'll be so much plot to get through, focusing on the exploits of the principal cast, that he'd only get a minor part. Or maybe both - one, then the other. [face_greedy] It's a shame that TLOK doesn't have as many episodes to play with per book as A:TLA did. It means TLOK lacks the flexibility to spend an episode focusing on something outside of the main plot. Pure character pieces. An old Zuko would be amazing in something like that. Perhaps an episode where he looks back on his time as Fire Lord.

Oh yeah, pleeeease can we have a flashback showing Iroh? I wouldn't have him say anything, but even a few seconds would be beyond awesome.
