Surprised by Voj’s extreme and immediate reaction, Miria calmed herself, knowing that she would only harm the situation if she reacted. Her sister would have to be the one to decide their course of action. As Voj told them that it was the dark side blinding Dovey she felt alarm. She knew her sister’s past somewhat and the fact that neither had caught on to what was happening spoke volumes, both about their relationship but also about what state Dovey was in.

Voj asked Miria to move quickly and she did. She twisted in place and put her hand over Dovey’s eyes. There it was, that inky black, cloying pool of death and destruction. She forced herself to focus on the light within herself. She asked the life around her, the force itself to move through her hands. Her eyes closed and she moved her fingers as if filtering through the miasma of dark force energy inside her sister. Each time her force sense met up against a dark side presence, she slowly broke it up and forced it into submission, allowing her own light to completely eradicate it.

Once Miria was done, she opened her eyes. “It’s gone.”

Kara had reached her limit with Tim and she did not hesitate to let it come through the Force to him. You know what Tim, you just go ahead and do whatever you want to do. I’m done with this conversation. Eva, break contact and return Home. With that Kara opened her eyes and took a deep breath. Holding a connection like that for a prolonged period of time mentally and physically exhausted her.

She walked down the Command walkway she looked into the command pit and found the next highest ranking bridge officer and relinquished command of the bridge so that she could retire to her ready room. As she passed by communications she sent a message down to Pythos warning him that there might be yet another new arrival heading his way.

Meanwhile Eva complied and ordered the pilot to head back to base, but before she completely broke the link off with Tim she sent him one last message, Just to let you know, Gramps, we ain’t your everyday military and ya’ll ain’t exactly your average, run of the mill, civilians either.

Voj let out a great sigh of relief at Miria proclamation that the poison in Dovey’s eyes was gone. He let go of her head and looked into her piercing emerald green eyes and saw the perpetual dark brooding that he had become accustomed to seeing in them. At that moment he let a slight smile curl the left corner of his lips, ever so slightly.

“Well it looks like that’s two you owe me.”

Before he could continue on his comlink chirped the distinct tone letting him know that he had an incoming text-based message on his datapad. He pulled it out, read it quickly, and placed it back in its appropriate place as he looked up at the twins. “Master Miria, it seems that Major Shysa has returned with a newcomer and that there may be another on his way down. How would you like us to proceed?”

He continued to ignore the strange feelings he was getting from being around Dovey, but he didn’t know for how much longer.

Life's Illusion - Heading for Saridona Prime

Tim hadn't been joking or exaggerating when he had told the Lady (a social classification) on Redemption that some presumed Sith ships and crewers hadn't got "to go home", and warned her not to send anything his way that he "might take exception to". He had, in fact, thought that something of a rapport had been starting to form between the Lady on Redemption and himself; before Defender's arrogant interference (in his view) had intervened; kicking in his Agamarian stubbornness (one of his homeworld's less desirable, but very well known, and often mocked, cultural traits) and forcing his hand.

The reason was that since "Life's Illusion" had been completely rebuilt and updated in Dac's shipyards twenty-six years ago, her dorsal turret had hosted twin Light Turbolasers; comparable in destructive capability to "Home One"'s Main Battery weapons at Endor, instead of her original outfit of twin Laser Cannons. They had made very short work of the three overly-tenacious snoopers (to Tim's deep regret, because he really hadn't ever wanted to kill, or even use the weapons unless he absolutely had to; but those ships had fired on him first)!

This disinclination to kill had also been partly responsible for turning him against fitting Proton Torpedo launch systems (on extending mountings) in the port and starboard airlocks. The systems and torpedoes wouldn't have been a problem (Tim's oldest friend, Joph Sturm, was then the soon-to-be Deputy Director of the Agamar Security Force, and as such, had a great deal of authority) and since ASF were transitioning to R-28s from the earlier versions of T-65 there were plenty of the latter sitting about waiting to be dismantled and scrapped. In fact, Joph would probably have sent a convoy of ASF repulsortrucks, fully laden with torpedoes, and the personnel to stow them into every spare nook and cranny, if one word of such a plan had been as much as mentioned! However, Tim hadn't thought that "Life's Illusion" would approve of being turned into a semi-warship (despite the glorious precedent set by the legendary "Millennium Falcon"), so the contents of the dorsal turret remained her only armament.

Redemption hadn't launched fighters from her hangar bays (surely she hadn't sent all her Twin Tails off into ambush positions?) or even tried the traditional "shot across the bows", although that would probably have been hard to judge, given "Life's Illusion"'s rapid acceleration along Redemption's flank. Nor had anyone apparently either noticed or realised that by conforming to the arc of Redemption's weapons' envelope even while staying out of range, "Life's Illusion" would inevitably intersect with Saridona Prime's atmosphere at some point; an outcome now hastened by the jink away from the ambushing pair of Twin Tails; which had had the effect of cutting the corner slightly.

Perhaps it was Prestorious' masterful demonstration of the Illusionists' craft now decorating the hull and making the ship look like a Safety Inspector's worst-ever-nightmare; perhaps it was surprise at the rapidly changing course of events or astonishment at "Life's Illusion"'s blazing speed, but no one seemed to have as much as run a course track on her yet, let alone tried to mount an effective response.

Nor was Tim overly worried by the Twin Tails valiantly trying to catch up or the threat of random fire from Redemption's big guns; another part of "Life's Illusion"'s rebuild had been the installation of the then latest version of Chempat 'Supreme Defender' Shields; which, size-for-size, gave her almost the defensive capability of a modern Capital Ship when combined with her outsized Power Core. A long-ago version of that type of Shield had warded off multiple (albeit glancing and stuttering) hits from an ImpStar Deuce's Main Batteries without collapsing, or even being seriously weakened; but unless Defender and/or 'the mentalist' stopped playing games and handed over some hard information, those Shields were about to face their toughest test!

Just in time, a mental communication came through:

"You know what Tim, you just go ahead and do whatever you want to do. I’m done with this conversation. Eva, break contact and return Home". Then in a slightly different style of speech (probably the actual 'mentalist'): "Just to let you know, Gramps, we ain’t your everyday military and ya’ll ain’t exactly your average, run of the mill, civilians either".

"So do what I want, eh?", Tim thought to himself, "Pity you couldn't have decided that before you started all this messing about! And no, a teenage Inventor who became a Security Systems specialist, turned Illusionist, probably death-marked by the Sith like my surviving family, then turned Security Force Consultant, now (perhaps) turning Jedi; certainly isn't your run-of-the-mill civilian! Ah well, once around the block will let me dump enough velocity for a rather more normal reentry than I'd planned on doing; and a good thing too! 'Gramps' doesn't need any more grey hairs!".

Adjusting course so that "Life's Illusion" would not now touch atmosphere, and shutting down the drive, Tim turned her nose-over-tail in a half somersault before cutting the drive back on at a level anticipated to slow her enough for a repulsorlift landing when he came into sight of the Star Destroyers again then waited out the orbit. As they came back into view, he again shut down the drive, turned the half-somersault into a full one, engaged the repulsors and started the descent into Saridona Prime's atmosphere.

"There aren't very many of us in the temple so we all have our own rooms. They aren't much to look at, at least mine isn't. In fact, now that Padawan Ulda has gone missing and Padawan Kor'le has left, the med-center is where the only other padawan is right now, Padawan Tano. Have you had much training?"

Training. Well if you consider being taught how to snipe someone out with out getting caught training then she was already a master, she thought to herself. "Not really. I know I have force powers and am force sensitive, only because it runs in my family. If you count being trained by a bounty hunter a few years ago then I guess I have some, otherwise I'm a complete newb." She didn't delve into the fact of how dark her past was, or how the fact that it might've followed her to the temple. She didn't want to dump her problems on a person she had just met.

Then out of no where her comm went off. “Khalifa, I am going to head to the animal sanctuary while I await you. Taab is heading over there soon. I will await your return, but if they decide to leave before you return I will go with them. If you get back and I’m not here, just give me a call and I will meet you back at the hanger.” So my Caamassi friend is getting cabin fever. How typical. He wouldn't stop bugging me or sit still on the trip to Saridona Prime. Oh well, she wasn't going to let him get in the way of her little tour with Ian.

Then out of nowhere her holo comm went off a second time. Oh great, she muttered. I bet this looks pretty rude to Ian on the fact I keep walking out on him. "Please excuse me I have to take this." She walked out into the corridor and answered her comm, and almost dropped it immediately. Standing in front of her was a miniature blue figure of Jace Pikkard. She hoped that her shock didn't carry out through the force to others around, but she didn't bet on it.

    Alec Vandel

    Saridona Prime, Ruins

The trek up the staircase proved to be uneventful; no hidden weapon emplacements, enemies, or even some cheap trick like the steps going out beneath them and sending them sliding back down. Like Alec had spotted before, the stairs led up to a corridor...but he hadn't seen the doors as he did now that lined the walls of the corridor. Frowning at the sight, he gave each row a glance and debated about how to proceed. Open each door one-by-one? Too long. Maybe open a couple, see what they contained, but then just move on-

“Help me please. I am begging you. Help me please!”

His next move was decided for him. Jolted by the telepathic plea, Alec had instinctively reached out in response with the Force while he took another look at the doors, trying to figure out where the cry had come from. He had expected the barrier to block his senses and he was actually mildly surprised to find that it had mysteriously vanished. Why? How? Didn't matter right now as Alec focused on where the shout, seeming so far away, came from.

"This way," Alec spoke to Gaan, pretty sure that she had heard it just as he had. Breaking into a run, Alec went to what he thought was the source.

With his senses no longer being interfered, it was easy for him to locate the source of the mental cry for help. Despite the numerous doors, it was one in particular that caught his attention and one he stopped in front of. There was a single presence beyond the door and the fear radiating out from it was practically seeping through the seams of the door. If he had to guess, it was most likely the individual that had just called out to them. Still, he didn't let his caution slide. Taking an extra second to look down each end of the corridor, Alec half-expected some obstacle to spring up in an attempt to catch them unawares. Fortunately, there was nothing.

When he raised a hand and keyed the door open, there was still no signs of an impending attack. Instead, he found something completely different.

A Guardian? he silently questioned. Either that or some other Force-user that had become trapped within the Ruins. What had to be a mimic of Hochner and Master Lahana's previous imprisonment, there was a female Twi'lek that was suspended in a stasis field.

"Do you recognize her, Gaan?" Stepping inside, Alec immediately looked for some kind of console or anything that could shut the stasis field off. This, of course, brought up the question of there perhaps being more Guardians or other Force-users trapped in stasis behind the other doors. Perhaps Michael's missing family as well?

    Rath Vos
    The Concourse, Roxuli

Rath’s mind was alight with activity. Blending in, flying under the radar, hiding; these were not activities at which Rath excelled. Rath had so often failed tests of diplomacy at the Jedi academy that his knighthood was postponed twice. He was too impatient.

But, here, in battle, Rath was truly at home. He was reaching out, seeking any weakness in this enemy’s stance. He followed his movements, noted his reaction. He was so focused on the battlefield that he noticed the shift in the Falleen’s attention. He felt the civilian flying towards his lightsaber before he saw it.

His protective instinct took over. Without hesitation, he switched off his lightsaber blade. After contacting his opponent’s guard, it had deflected down to the left. The man sailed harmlessly between the two combatants. Rath used the Force to send him sliding away from harm.

In saving the man, he left himself open to be struck. Rath was tossed back several yards. He maintained his footing, but was immediately in danger again. The reptilian Sith leapt forward, crimson lightsaber aimed directly at Rath’s heart. Without igniting his staff, Rath sidestepped and swung the hilt at the blade, to knock it aside. He twirled the staff around his head and ignited the blade as it came around towards his opponent.

Gaan was rather surprised when they didn't end up in a heap at the end of another chute at some point in their ascent. At the top was the corridor they had seen before, but only now did she realize the walls were doors. Sighing, she was about to open the first door when she heard a mental cry

//Help me please. I am begging you. Help me please!//

Reaching out instinctively to follow the link, Gaan could feel Alec doing so, as well, and directed her attention away, to try and sense any traps. She had not felt any when Alec said, "This way," and broke into a run. Gaan kept up with him easily, letting him figure out where they were going. Finally, they reached a door, which Alec keyed open.

As it opened, it revealed a Twi'lek woman, suspended in stasis. "Do you recognize her, Gaan?"

"No." There was no hesitation in her voice, but Gaan wondered if she actually did know her. Again she felt the pull to move on, to find her memories, but instead she looked up at the Twi'lek, trying to calm her, while Alec started looking around for a control panel. Gaan stretched out in the Force, seeking a hidden switch, as well.

Ian thought about what she said. Being trained by a bounty hunter didn't count as Ian's idea of fun, he hated those thugs. Of course he has spent the last decade in the clutches of a small time criminal syndicate so he tried not to judge her too harshly. Her comm unit went off and Ian turned to Ms. Sandstrider. She couldn't have been happy about babysitting the two of them, but to be honest he was glad she was here right now. He was afraid to be alone with Khalifa.

"Ms. Sandstrider..." he started but was interupted by what he overheard “Khalifa, I am going to head to the animal sanctuary while I await you. Taab is heading over there soon. I will await your return, but if they decide to leave before you return I will go with them. If you get back and I’m not here, just give me a call and I will meet you back at the hanger.” ugh. Taab. That meant he wouldn't be showing Khalifa or Ms. Sandstrider the animal sanctuary anytime soon. Maybe the Meditation Gardens instead? Of course that would mean they would have to go out on one of the hover boats as the Gardens were in the middle of a small lake...

Khalifa deactivated her comm unit without speaking back to her...companion? Ian guessed she was eager to get on with the tour. But her comm went off again and this time she left the room. Maybe she wasn't so eager after all. For some reason he followed her out into the hallway, drawn by the shock he could feel from her. "Is everything o...boy" as he then saw the small shimmering hologram of a young man. Oh, so she already has a boyfriend. Typical. He retreated back into the padawan dorm area and sheepishly looked to Ms. Sandstrider. "Guess thats that huh?"

The Vos child responded swiftly, dealing with the civilian, sidestepping, and then watching as the hilt of the staff caught and knocked his blade free of his grasp. Vakeer backpedaled, and reached out with his hand in the Force for his weapon - as the staff twirled a rotation and, now alit, removed his head.

The body collapsed with not even a sigh, the lightsaber, already propelled, simply flying across where the Falleen had been standing. The Force still sang with danger, and it came from the troopers of the Falleen, now free to open fire. Blaster rifles were switched to autofire and six troopers - each from different directions across the concourse, some even on levels above shooting down, having gathered to the first set of troopers order.

With all the civilians still on the concourse, fleeing mostly in the wrong direction and mostly blocked on this level, they were poised to die in a protracted firefight. The concourse, hung over other levels, and there were all manner of cables holding drying clothing above, windows, sills and even ledges above. The Sith Academy remained in eye-sight, above a few levels but visible a few concourses up and over. Accessible with effort, though how many troopers were en route was unknown.

    Lots, one would assume.

The Watcher, atop the obsidian pyramid of the Academy, felt the death of the only other fully trained Sith on Roxuli, and reacted in a fashion quite in-character for a Sith; she grew angry. Assuming that this 'Vos' child was the source of her threat, she simply issued an order.

"Move the Pride of Roxuli to orbit that concourse."

She brushed a tear from her fur, hoping her aide had the common sense to ignore her action.

"Order it to fire as soon as it is in position."

The Yevethan T-Type began to move itself from its orbit to achieve that goal, a timer revealing itself, stating the action would take three minutes. Pleased, the Bothan activated a system she had used previously, to make public service announcements, and her hologram appeared, in mid-air, above the concourse - a blue figure above Vos. Her voice emerged from speakers across the concourse.

"Jedi slime. You have three minutes to surrender, or I will destroy you, and everyone on that concourse. Will it cause it to drop down and devastate the homes of thousands? Yes. Do I care?"

    She glowered.

    "No."

If the crowd had seemed panicked before, now it was truly panicked, and a few civilians braved the firefight to begin approaching Vos, most likely to apprehend him.

    Madness.

    Rath Vos
    The Concourse, Roxuli

Rath followed through with his strike, and so had spun away from his opponent. Thus, he did not see the Falleen die. He felt it, however, in his arm as it had connected with the Sith’s neck. He smelled it on the air, as his lightsaber had seared the flesh. And, foremost, he sensed it in the Force, as the life was extinguished not feet from his body.

The man’s death, whose name Rath might never learn, was jarring. Rath had seen death and he had been the cause of two others, but three was not enough to harden him. He still felt that all death was tragedy, be the victim Sith or otherwise. Rath would make a point to pray for this unnamed soldier, but now was not the time for mourning.

Rath extended his arm and pulled his opponent’s hilt to him. He stowed it in his robes and was drawn back to the present by the unmistakable din of blaster fire. A bolt scorched past Rath’s neck, and Rath turned to face his attacker. From behind him, another bolt came dangerously close to striking Rath’s leg. The crowd was screaming, in response to the beheaded body and the blasterfire. Chaos.

"Jedi slime. You have three minutes to surrender, or I will destroy you, and everyone on that concourse. Will it cause it to drop down and devastate the homes of thousands? Yes. Do I care?"

Rath knew the answer before the figure spoke. No. And, yet, knowing the Sith, Rath knew that this might be a trick. While directing blaster bolts harmlessly into the air, he considered the options.

If he ran, the Sith would surely follow through with her threat. And, though Rath might survive, many would not. Rath could not live with this.

So, he chose death. With the announcement, the troopers had ceased their attack on him. But through the crowd, some of the bolder citizens were eyeing him. They meant to stop him from fleeing. Rath turned off his lightsaber blade and held his arms, one still holding the staff above his head in surrender.

“Broken Angel, I assume that, since you are looking for Jedi, that you yourself are Force-sensitive. So what does the Force tell you?”

Kambie could not believe what she was hearing. Was this person inviting her to probe their mind? In all of her past Kambie could not remember that going well. Perhaps it was some kind of test. Whatever the correct or expected action was for her to take she wasn’t sure. So she decided to do what she felt was right. She ignored the invitation and decided that hopefully someone would be willing to tell her what the Journeymen Knights were along with where she was, what would be expected of her if she was to stay here and anything else she needed to know. One thing she knew for sure was that she wasn’t unpacking under these circumstances. She disliked living on a ship, even her own, more than just about any other being. So it really stung that she had found a group of fellow Jedi after all this time and now they weren’t living up to even her smallest of expectations.

After a short tow Kambie saw a large hanger where she was to land her ship. The hanger looked much like all those she had seen on back water planets were criminals hid. The hodgepodge collection of ships was all sorts of makes and models and in all sorts of different conditions. She looked for a place to set her own ship down and thought she saw a spot next to a wall that looked good. Her mind was completely distracted by the unwelcoming circumstances and the newly found array of mysterious spacecraft. All of the sudden she realized she had forgotten to put her landing gear down.

Kambie quickly became flustered and annoyed with herself. She tried to pull up, but went starboard instead, so corrected herself by moving to port. Finally she got herself back up in the air a little and managed to get the landing gear down, but when she went to land she heard a scraping sound. Her ship was brushing up against the wall of the hanger, she had moved too far to port. She corrected the error by slightly tapping the stick and moving ever so slightly starboard. Finally her landing gear made contact with the deck and she shut down the engines. “Great first impression” she said out loud, to herself. She had not expected to keep her inadequate piloting skills to herself, but it would have been nice to keep them under wraps for the first five minutes.

Kambie grabbed a small satchel with essentials, patted the lightsaber and blaster pistol on her belt for comfort and walked out of her ship and down into the hanger with her head held high.

Josch’s mind instantly started racing. Keira was alive, wanted to reconnect with him, and introduce to him the grandson he never knew. He quickly did a genealogy in his head and figured out that Flynn was also Kasha’s grandfather. His fractured family tree was finally starting to come back together. He dried his eyes rising to his feet once again. He reached up and placed his hand as if he was holding her cheek.

“Yes, I absolutely want to see her again, I would love nothing more than to fix that which I have broken.” He paused for a moment and just continued staring into the incorporeal blue eyes of his deceased wife. “Fress, I love you, I always have. I think that is what is making what I am about to say so difficult.” Tears started to well up in his eyes once more. “Fress, just like you did when we first met, I have found room in my heart for another woman.” Tears started rolling down his cheek, “But before I pursue this relationship any further, I felt that you deserved to know.”

Josch let his hand fall to his side, closed his eyes and calmed himself. Once he had gotten his wits about him, he looked up at the image of Fress with a look of pained agony on his face. “I hate to say this, but Kasha and I need to leave. There is something malicious about this place and we need to destroy it to keep all of us safe.”

He turned and looked back at Kasha, “Come on granddaughter, let’s make this corner of the galaxy just a little bit safer.” As he started to walk away he looked back over his shoulder at Fress, gave her a wink and blew her a kiss. She had been and forever would be the first woman he truly loved in his long life.

    The Ruins, Saridona Prime

The deep cerulean blue skinned, Rutian Twi’lek was being suspended in some sort of stasis field. Her brown eyes were open, but her 1.75 meter athletically lithe body just hung there, motionless. She was dressed in a dark brown leather, Twi’lek midriff, one sleeve shirt vest and matching hip hugging pants. Dark brown knee high leather boots covered her feet, while a matching dark leather belt with flaps encircled her waist. A dark leather headpiece with matching lekku bracings, and a brown hooded cloak completed her outfit. The only identifying mark immediately visible was the High Galactic letter ‘Z’ branded on her upper left arm.

As Gaan and Alec searched the room looking for some sort of control panel the only thing they found were two lightsabers, one silver hilt and one bronze hilt both covered in a leather grip, and a vibrodagger all encased in transparasteel.

Fress smiled as she watched Kasha and Josch walk away. She knew about Miria but also had a feeling Josch would feel better telling her in person. She followed both and stood in front of Josch. “Miria can love you in a way I can’t right now. It’s okay. You have my blessing. You deserve to have some happiness in your life,” she turned her attention to Kasha with a gentle smile. “Watch out for your grandfather, he has a knack for getting into trouble.”

“I will grandmother,” Kasha answered with a smile as she glanced at Josch. “Don’t worry. We should go,” she watched as Fress disappear then turned her attention to her grandfather. “What’s the plan for getting out of this one,” she said in a teasing voice. “Trouble maker.”

    Dreamer’s Catch, near Ashla Base

A ship appeared on her sensors, just away from the space station, before her limited Force powers could sense it.

“JumpMaster 5000 Dreamer’s Catch you have entered restricted space. Approach and dock in the Golan Space Colony. Remain in your vessel until security has cleared you to debark. Do I make myself clear?”

Eira sighed. Just her luck, getting involved in this sort of thing. Apparently the Force didn’t warn her about restricted space, it probably couldn’t tell the difference. Didn’t matter now, though, she was already here and it seemed like she was in trouble.

Eira keyed her comm. “Understood,” she replied, resistance not even a spare thought – she could never fight her way out of anything in this old bucket, she didn’t even know if the lasers were functional. Though a woman of few words, she found herself speaking again. “I apologise for the intrusion, I was unaware that this was restricted space.”

Her sensors indicated what ought to be a docking bay on the station, and flew towards it, more cautious than she might have been under other circumstances - they could probably blow her out of the sky if she so much as twitched, now that she was under their guns. Hopefully nothing would burn out and give them an excuse to do so.

"No control panel," Alec spoke after a moment, finding none in the vicinity. The fields must be controlled elsewhere, possibly at some main control room where some overseer watched over the captive Force-users like this woman right here.

Or at least he was pretty sure she was a Force-user. The lightsabers off to the side were a clear sign of that although he idly wondered why someone would place a prisoner's weapons so close to them if they were in fact hers. But if the Twi'lek was a member of the Jedi Order, he didn't recognize her and neither did Gaan though that could be her faulty memory. She was wearing the usual browns that tended to be the fashion of both the Guardians and the Jedi but, again, he couldn't be too sure. Also...he tilted his head slightly to get a better look.

There was a letter branded onto her arm. A High Galactic letter Z. Puzzling. A part of some ritual or had it been done to her during captivity? Or something else entirely? Unknown. Alec couldn't think of any slave rings or pirate organizations that used such a marking at this moment.

Best way to get answers is to just ask her.

There was no button but there was more then one way to shut this off. Dipping into his robe, Alec grasped his Jedi Masterkey. With a press of his thumb, the silver hilt emitted a snap-hiss as his green blade came to life and with two quick strokes, the metal and circuitry of the top and bottom projectors of the stasis field were shredded as his lightsaber burned a line through each. As soon as his blade shredded through the bottom projector, Alec clicked his lightsaber off and held out an arm, anticipating that the Twi'lek would fall once the field went down.

Miria watched her sister's reaction able to tell why she had that particular facial expression and wondered if Voj knew as well. She listened in as Voj spoke into his comm unit, watching her sister's face. She smiled as Dovey glanced at her and gave her a relatively unguarded smile. It was a relief to see it. Although the two were close they still didn't know each other very well. There were decades of history that they did not understand about each other.

Miria listened as Voj asked for direction. She knew that there was a lot to do but the newcomers would be first. “The new individuals come first. Let’s go meet them.” With that she started towards the entrance to the temple.

Dovey glanced over at Voj one more time before watching her sister. It was wonderful to see Miria again and she was impressed with her sister’s skill. ‘I wonder if someday I’ll be able to do that?’ When Miria began to move towards the hallway Dovey did no more than silently follow her sister, walking just behind her so that when they reached the entrance she would remain in the background, which is what she preferred.

Taab look incredulously at the Caamasi, though the jedi couldn't see that through his T-visor. "Bit busy at the moment Frosty. Besides..." Now he made a point of visibly looking him up and down. "...I doubt you could afford me, or any of my friends." With that they left the animals behind and started making their way to the infirmary.
Allynic studied the two as they began to depart the Sanctuary for the Infirmary. He reached out and grabbed the arm of Beskaryc before he could leave the room. "Don't be so quick to judge me, my friend. I have a few hundred credits on my person, but at my desired destination....let's just say money is no object. Please consider my offer. If you change your mind I will be in the hanger bay for awhile before leaving. Feel free to reach me via comlink." Allynic gave the two his direct comlink code before they left and reached out in the Force.

He let a clam, passive feeling flow towards the Mandos. Hopefully one of them would come around. He was but a simple Caamasi and would have to rely on others, such as these thugs, to handle an physical side to his mission. He suddenly felt a chasm of surprise and disbelief echo through the Force from a familiar presence. Khalifa! Allynic closed his eyes and began to pinpoint the source of his wayward friend. It appeared she was on the Padawan Level.

Without waiting for a response from his two escorts, he took off at a light jog in Khalifa's direction. Within a minute or so he reached her, standing in the hallway. She had out her comm and was staring, shocked, at a blue figure. "Whats going on? Are you alright?"

"No control panel." Gaan nodded in response. She hadn't located anything, either, beyond two lightsabers. They held her attention for a moment, before Alec's blade came to life. Stepping back quickly as he swung at the projectors, Gaan strode over to the weapons.

"I wonder if these were hers...." She cautiously reached out to touch the transparisteel. The vibrodagger, which she had initially missed, interested her, and she drew one of her own vibroshivs, running it down the side of the transparisteel. "How is she?" she asked over her shoulder, still inexplicably fascinated with the vibrodagger. She wanted to cut the box open, but she knew it could be yet another trap, and resisted the temptation.

Finally, with a sigh, she returned the shiv to her belt, and turned back to Alec. "Now what?" She tried to hide her impatience, but it came out in her voice. What exactly was it about this place? She didn't know what was going on, but she knew she was acting differently than she normally would. She didn't know whether it was the same for Alec... but then again, she didn't really remember how he normally acted, anyway. Another exasperated sigh escaped her lips, and then she stood motionless, waiting.

    Ruins, Saridona Prime

Without the stasis field holding her up, the Twi'lek fell and Alec used his free arm to catch her and gently ease her towards the floor. No alarm currently sounded but Alec doubted that their meddling was going unnoticed, especially now that he destroyed the stasis projectors.

    "How is she?"

Alec had already been turning in Gaan's direction, not so much because of her question but, rather, the distinctive sound of metal sliding against transparisteel. He saw the curious display of the young woman tracing the blade of a small shiv against the transparisteel and when he thought she was going to shatter it in order to retrieve the weapons locked within, she didn't. Instead, she just stared at the weapons, seemingly fascinated by them. Alec was tempted to ask if there was perhaps something about them that was jogging her memory; if she somehow recognized a characteristic of them that was currently pecking at her but he chose instead to examine the Twi'lek.

"Unharmed," Alec finally replied to Gaan's question. "At least physically."

She hadn't come to yet but she seemed to be breathing and he did detect life still within her. Still, he wondered how long she had been in stasis and - if her mental outburst had been any clue -, wondered how long she had been conscious while her body had been immobile. Even Alec could understand the maddening frustration of being placed in such a situation and if she had been trapped for a year, perhaps more....

    "Now what?"

Speaking of frustration. Alec didn't turn back to Gaan this time and he didn't need to; he could clearly detect the impatience in her tone. Ever since entering the Ruins she seemed particularly anxious but, to be fair, Alec didn't know if that was Gaan's usual attitude on a mission. Or maybe it was because of the fact that there could be more Guardians trapped within and she wanted to get to them. If he knew that there were members of the Jedi Order trapped within, would he be just as anxious to get to them? He waved that off when logic dictated that there was the distinct possibility of lost members of the Order being contained here but he wasn't letting that rush him. Best not to let himself be propelled forward without caution or he could be the one that'll be captured and someone would have to come for him.

He didn't lecture Gaan about it though. Instead, relying on a bit more tact, he replied, "We'll give her a moment to recuperate. She may know information that could help us so that we aren't going completely into the unknown."

Hoping that would satisfy her, he focused his attention back on the Twi'lek who he had gently laid out on the floor. Placing his hand on her head, Alec summoned the Force. Like he had done with Hochner, Alec slowly inhaled drawing both oxygen and the Force into him. The warm energy of the Force was slowly drawn into his middle and, when he exhaled, Alec imagined that energy being drawn out from his center, through his arm, and fed into the Twi'lek through his fingers. The energy would hopefully revitalize the Twi'lek, draw her out of unconsciousness and also give her a boost of energy to help her recover from her captivity within the stasis field.

Gaan didn't acknowledge Alec's response to her first question about the Twi'lek, but she was glad that the woman wasn't injured.

In response to her second question, Alec replied, "We'll give her a moment to recuperate. She may know information that could help us so that we aren't going completely into the unknown."

"True...." Gaan rubbed her chin, aware that it was mostly a male gesture, and then knelt down beside Alec and the woman. Her eyes almost immediately went to the brand she'd missed before, and she reached out and gently traced it with a finger.

"Is this her designation? Do we have to find a person for each letter of the High Galactic alphabet?" she mused. Her questions weren't really directed at Alec, but she wouldn't be surprised if he answered them. "I wonder..." she rose, and stepped to the door they had entered by. "Do you think the rest of the doors house others like her?"

"Is this her designation? Do we have to find a person for each letter of the High Galactic alphabet?"

"Possible," Alec mused. "Neither Hochner nor Master Lahana had such a marking though. Or at least they didn't mention it. Could be due to some Twi'lek ritual but none that I've ever heard of before. Maybe a pirate organization or slave ring is responsible."

It had been the same speculations that he was wondering before. And Gaan seemed to continue to follow his same line of speculation as she now wandered towards the door while verbally wondering if there were others that were similarly sealed in stasis behind the other doors.

He wasn't going to stop her. Looking back at her, he said, "I was wondering the same thing. Go look. I can look after her until she awakens. Just be careful. Look at the ones next to us but I wouldn't advise going any further. If they didn't know we're here they probably do now and may investigate."

The whole situation seemed off to him. If the trap that separated their group was in fact on purpose, why would whoever was responsible send him and Gaan to their main prisons without any kind of defense? Were they really going to just free prisoners without any obstacles?

Hopefully the Twi'lek would be able to tell them more. Looking back down at her, he waited patiently. There wasn't much else he could do for the moment. He did all he could, the rest was on her.

Bio: By way of the Force, Tor'verd was found by a Je'daii Ranger who brought him back to Tython to follow the ways of the Je'daii Order. Nearing the end of his training as a Journeyer, on the brink of becoming a Ranger, the Force Wars broke out. Disturbed by the war, and in personal conflict on the right thing to do during these times, he experienced a Vision. That Vision was encasing himself in carbonite for the near future. Convinced that he should go into hiding and hope that by the time someone stumbles upon his carbonite self, that the Force Wars would be resolved and the balance between the Ashla and the Bogan would be restored. Not wanting to be rediscovered by either side of the war, Tor'verd decided to send his carbonite to a remote planet nearby. Little did he know that by catapulting his carbonite self in a small ship into the vast space would result in it being hit by an asteroid, veering off course and crash landing on an entirely different planet, Goreh. He would not be found until sometime after 146 ABY during a time just as chaotic as when he encased himself in carbonite. Even more so, a time where the Ashla and Bogan exist, as one, as the Force....

The Major continued to monitor the progress of the situation in the space over them. The amount of activity was disturbing to him, it would not be long before others detect all the trails leading the supposed hidden planet. “I guess it’s inevitable, little droid. The galaxy is shrinking. The blank edges of the map filled in. I guess we need to find our place in this new galaxy or perish.”

Navi twittered at him and the grizzled old soldier moved over to the internal security terminal. He switched the feed over to Hanger Bay #2 and watched as the newly arrived Horizon-class Star Yacht scrapped up its new paint job during a simple landing. He started measuring things up an suddenly realized that if he was going to bring the MonCal freighter in he would have to do some rearranging.

“Droid, send the Life’s Illusion a direct flight plan into Hanger Bay #2. Let him know that if deviates from that plan by even a half meter our defensive turrets will blast him into atoms. He might be fast in the vacuum of space, but within the atmosphere it’s nothing more than a Huttlette falling without a hover couch.”

He then turned his attention back to the hanger bay watching as the Colonel returned with the golden-skinned twins. The trio walked into the hanger bay in just enough time to witness the scrap heard round the Temple. As they waited for the newcomer to emerge they watched Leianna skillfully not only bring the F-LER into the hanger bay, but docked it to the Marauder. She quickly exited and started over towards the welcoming committee.

Seneca reached for the comm system and keyed in Leianna’s frequency. “Major Shysa I need for you to take the Marauder to Hanger Bay 1 to make room for the newcomer.” He switched off the comms and watched as Leianna stormed back towards the ancient vessel of the Journeymen. “That one has a mean streak a parsec long. She better learn to temper it if she’s ever to land herself a man.”

He moved over to the parameter scanners to check on the progress of the MonCal when the long range communicator chimed. Only one place would be calling over that line, Ashla station. The indicated that an old JumpMaster had appeared in system and was being held in the station. They were requesting further instructions. Pythos authorized the soldier that had discovered her to question the captain of the vessel.

Things were definitely changing, but whether they were for the better is another story all together.
