This questioning of Hillary is nonsense. She will not get into any trouble and all either side is doing is scoring points. The GOP is especially being silly as they amke little snippy comments about Obama rather than just ask questions about the situation.

Marco Rubio didn't get the memo about being a jerk, apparently. His questions seemed pretty intelligent and aimed more at actually finding things out (and indeed, in watching her testimony to his questions, I learned something) than in grandstanding.

The rest of them are morons.

The appropriate response to "killing Bin Laden didn't end al-Qaeda" should be "Yeah, well it's more than you people accomplished".

Rand Paul was absolutely ridiculous, saying how he'd be punishing her if he were President, and then asking bizarre questions like "are we shipping arms from Libya to Turkey?"

Paul is truly a megalomaniacal moron.

Ron Johnson was out of line too.

    Hillary was great.

    In other news...

    * U.S. military will now officially allow Women in combat

    * the House voted to raise the debt ceiling until May

    * 62% of Americans support citizenship for illegal immigrants

    * 70% of Americans support Roe v Wade (and only 9% support outlawing all abortion without exceptions)

    * Catholic hospital argues that a fetus is not a person in court

It's still a distinct possiblity right now with as conservative as the SC is at the moment. And you never know how Justices will vote should the issue come before them again.

That's my thought, especially if the GOP wins in 2016 and that President has the opportunity to appoint a couple of justices as conservative as Roberts or Alito.

Well considering John Roberts basically upheld Obamacare, I think he'd also be rather reluctant to do something as drastic as to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Also, we really truly don't know how Kagan or Sotomayor would vote should the issue come up again. Just because a Justice is named to the Court by a President of a particular party doesn't mean he or she necessarily shares all facets of that President's ideology (see the recently retired Justices David Souter and John Paul Stevens for example.)

IMO Ginsberg is one of the best justices we've had.

Haven't most "defections" been in the conservative-to-liberal direction?

And to bring up a different topic, this guy is optimistic that the gridlock in Congress will be broken, reasoning that Republicans no longer have an incentive for engaging in scorched-earth obstructionism: http://blogs.reuters.com/anatole-ka...snt-coming-to-washington-its-already-arrived/
