    Nar Shaddaa, Hutt Space

"No, and I am quite nervous. I've heard terrible things about this world...terrible things". Kadran said, seeming to physically shake.

"The reports I read, advise business travelers to stay out of any drinking establishments and minimize contact with the local and transit population." She said, a tinge of sarcasm in her words. "This, maybe more than a little adventure..."

The Bith, the R2 and Mira began making their towards the the Captain and Sin and the deck master, just in time to hear the Twi'lek say, "...for leisure, fine dining and gambling, so you'll find the Hungry Hunter by looking for its logo. It's the unit with the three dancing neon twi'leks. It's colorful, lights flashing in and out, hard to miss. It's Vorga's favorite."

The Twi'lek male seemed infatuated with whatever he was describing. Sin seemed less than thrilled with him, responding, ""Probably should point out to you that we've got special security systems hardwired into the Hammer. All the electronics are slaved to each other, and not in a 'hustle your delectable associate here' kind of way. You might want to put the word out that if anyone tries to yank anything they're likely to pull back a stump. No offense, of course. I'll just wait over here, sir, unless there's any wheels you need me to grease."

"As a note," Mira interjected to the administrator. "There's a ninety-two kilohertz hum on the high-band transceiver, and I'm afraid there is going to be RF leakage back into the amplifiers. Please have that checked. I ran twenty kilowatts and the back feed to the dummy load was about eleven percent without the bypass. She said, noticing that some tension was building between the two Twi'leks.

    Captain Kagen, IC:

Kagen slowly nodded with a grimace. He'd seen Director Ger'Hegna's kind so many times before. An uppety sort, manipulating his role as manager solely because he was under the protection of the Hutts. He wanted to blast the vermin on sight but knew it would be his last stand. So he chose diplomatic approaches to the same ends. "Good evening", Kagen said in a powerful voice, eager to command the Twi'Lek's respect.

Hoping to disappoint Vorga's puppet by providing legitimate documentation Kagen provided his secondary memory chip with his updated transport pilot Captain license and his certified ownership of the vessel, which a retinal scan would confirm.

"All's in order?", Kagen asked just to get under Vek's skin. He looked around and noted docking bay workers stripping key components off transports, puzzled as to why.

Once his docs checked out, he smiled, opened his satchel and handed the Twi'Lek two hundred fifty credits in paper and coin.

"Here you are friend, credits for today's docking and parking, the top Executive Security feature, plus fuel cell fillup prior to departure and tip",handing him the currency by unit increments.

Kagen looked to Sin'teksa and smirked as she blasted back at the Twi'Lek Director. He appreciated her gusto, knowing that he could trust her because she was so spirited and quick to bite back. He smiled and said, "I think everything's covered Co-Captain Sin" looking to the Director square in the eyes, daring him to attempt to say another degrading word to Sin by openly addressing her as co-captain. He remembered what Sin told him just a few moments ago about the man who needed a ride and about the 3 dancing Twi'Leks, as well wondering if the hallucination she had shared any connection to the saloon Vek just mentioned.

Noting the shadiness of the docking bay maintenance crew, Kagen said, "No Mira.... He turned to her in a low whisper and said, "Thanks for informing the Director here of the status of our craft, but I don't want my ship repaired here. We'll wait til our next drop point. Besides the work needed here is optional". He then turned to the Twi'Lek and said, "No offense, but we're docking only. I want no inspections, no work on the ship. Understood.", he posed, not wanting their grubby greedy hands on his ship.

"Thanks. I think we'll take a visit to the Hive while we're here. R2, is the ship secured?", Kagen said.

    GM POST
    Director Vek Ger'hegna
Chief of Administration, Docking Bay 1

Kagen post: "All's in order?", Kagen asked?

?Yes, you?re clear?, Director Ger?hegna said with a fixed stare. It was evident to the Twi?Lek that this captain was no fool.

Kagen post : "Here you are friend??

Vek took the cash and coins with thrift and a smug grin, sliding them into his pocket noting all of the items as paid. He printed up the receipt for the day 1 docking and parking, the security bonus and the exit fuel fees, then tore it off the pad. With authority and a diplomatic grin, he handed the receipt to Kagen, knowing for sure that was Kagen?s next request. He?d seen the smuggler?s kind only on a few rare occasions and understood the importance of shrewdness.

Sin post: Sin flashed the administrator an evil smile. "No offense, of course."

?None taken?,, Vek replied in an elitist dismissal, digusted that she even spoke. It was quite clear that he felt that a female Twi'lek's place was only as a consort or dancer. He was definitely the stereotype of his species' male; arrogant, controlling and exploitive.

    Kagen: ?I think everything's covered Co-Captain Sin"

Uncomfortable by the Captain?s gaze, the Twi?Lek Director looked down with a grimace then looked up, his eyes away from Kagen's, not willing to make contact with the Captain?s eyes, smiling nervously, getting the point clearly.

Mira post: There's a ninety-two kilohertz hum on the high-band transceiver, and I'm afraid there is going to be RF leakage back into the amplifiers. Please have that checked. I ran twenty kilowatts and the back feed to the dummy load was about eleven percent without the bypass.

When Mira communicated all of the technical requirements, the Twi?Lek?s eyes widened as if his brain was going to explode from the information as he asked, ?What?? staring at the Wolatarian baffled.

Kagen: "No offense, but we're docking only. I want no inspections, no work on the ship. Understood."

?Cleary Captain Klaaso,? Vek said with wide eyes in upright stance, prior to a bow in salute.

Kagen: "Thanks. I think we'll take a visit to the Hive while we're here.?

?Certainly, my pleasure?, the Director said as he walked away leaving the crew to their business. Others in the docking bay went about their work glancing periodically at the crew of the Hammer.

    Kagen:?R2, is the ship secured?".

R2C2 whirred in affirmation and rolled up to the Captain, Deuce and Kadran in step ready to go where Kagen summoned them.

TC grumbled a tad grumpily, not liking being completely disarmed, but wishing to keep someone this powerful happy. On a table provided TC began disarming himself, his rifle, pistols, grenades, emp launcher, sniper rifle, and a few other arms. He silently stared at the large Barabel gaurds, beings who he would have a difficult time going against without his weapons. TC watched as Goovo placed his single pistol on the table, and they proceeded inside. TC had also heard that this Bothan loan shark was much more reasonable on the return, allowing her patrons to take as long as they wish knowing she would get a better intrest return.

The Barabels' eyes fell upon the Hunter?s weaponry on the table then to the Hunter and nodded in respect.

Weaponless, Goovo walked into the abode immediately viewing its lobby. A human receptionist sat at a desk in the foyer, six additional guardsmen on watch, 2 Weequay, 2 Iotran, and 2 Aqualish spread out in the open room. Seconds after entry, a glimmering protocol droid in a female voice said, "Welcome Goovo. Lady Ganthia is looking forward to meeting with you. She is actually quite surprised you are still alive. When word got out about your gambling loss to Hellva, much of Nar Shaddaa feared you were doomed. Especially after the gossip spread that you were taken in by this bounty hunter at The Rambler". She then escorted Goovo and TC to a lift tube. Once at the second floor, after the lift tube opened, a rather stocky jet black Wookiee enforcer came into view. In his massive hands was a bowcaster. The startled protocol droid said, ?Oh! Hello Javalagaa. I wasn?t expecting to see you?.

The Wookiee growled incomprehensibly and the protocol turned to TC and Goovo and said, ?It appears Lady Ganthia wishes for the Great Javalagaa to accompany us to our employer?s office?.

Scuttling along, the protocol droid made haste to Ganthia?s chambers, the Wookiee?s feet stomping behind her.

They walked to room 213 and a blast door opened. Inside the vast room was female Bothan loan shark Ganthia, perched in her expensive desk chair, behind a ten-foot long, three-foot wide rectangular large black marble top desk.

Standing in the corner of the room was the Korsh, a well-known Trandoshan bounty hunter who had his base of operations on Nar Shaddaa. With a heavy blaster rifle in his hands the hunter?s eyes stared at TC ready to act at the first sign of danger. Javalagaa waited outside the door against the back wall, keeping his distance from Korsh as his kind hated the oppressive Trandoshans.

Ganthia looked up and smiled as Goovo entered. ?Come in Goovo. Take a seat?Your reputation precedes you. Rumor has it your one of the best gamblers around. If not for that bad hand against the Hutt, you?d be rich as well as infamous?, she smirked.

?Yeah, I thought it was a sure thing?, Goovo said with a shrug of defeat.

Ganthia smiled and said, ?Look, bad luck hits us all at different times. I wasn?t always in this seat myself. So I have a proposition for you. You seem like a smart, intuitive, negotiator; I mean you made it here from the Hutt?s capture. And as a gambler you are accustomed to risk, so I have a deal for you. Work for me for a year as an associate with two tasks: One as a fixer, as an extra set of feet on the street negotiating contracts. The other as a spy, as I need extra eyes and ears in the casinos and saloons to know where to tap the next best business deal. Do this and I will immediately transfer the twenty thousand you owe to Hellva and offer you a monthly stipend of three thousand credits for your service to me, no more, no less. It is a win, win friend?, she offered.

Goovo?s eyes widened in disbelieve his mouth trembling in joy, ?Yes, yes I?ll take it?, he said almost jumping from his chair.

"Good", Ganthia said slowly, as Korsh stood up and walked over to Goovo with an ankle bracelet in his hands.

?You?ll have to wear one of these, as I need to know where you are around the clock. Besides I would hate to see you leave before your time it up?, Ganthia said.

Goovo understood that there was always a catch and preferred this to all of his alternatives. The Trandoshan bent down and locked the tracker on Goovo?s left ankle. Goovo looked to it and noted that the one-year countdown clock had begun, the seconds ticking backwards.

?I look forward to this partnership, you?ll need this?
, Ganthia said handing him a new comlink. ?Oh and this?, as she handed out a memory stick to him charged with three thousand electronic credits.

Goovo looked up in gratitude and reverence and whispered, ?Thanks?.

Captain Kagen gazed at the docking bay hangar doors some thirty meters away, curious, yet anxious about the crime-ridden city streets beyond them. He thought about Sin'teksa and her vision and was puzzled by the convenience of it. Did she possess an otherworldly mind's eye? Was it in connection with the ship and its needs? If so, will this mysterious stranger be the transport payoff for his delinquent ship loan? He smirked, his eyes wide in anticipation of the unknown as he turned to Sin, Mira, Kadran, and Deuce, stared for a few seconds into each of their eyes, then said, "Alright Sin, team Hammer, let's take a trip to the Hungry Hunter, get a few drinks and look for some work. We could use the well-deserved rest and relaxation before we get down to the big business of earning credits.",

TC nodded to Goovo as he obtained the chip. He figured that people he had helped that may owe him a favour, something that he could at some point exploit. Leaving he retrieved his weapons from the door gaurds, and left with the Hutt's abode in mind. He was relieved that no unneeded death was to come, and therefore he succeeded. Using the public transport system was faster than attempting to use his jetpack. He had his helmet off, feeling no need to hide his identity. In about an hour he returned to the entrance of Hellva's palace, and awaiting the misprogrammed droid and the silent Verpine.

    Inside Hellva's chamber room
    Hellva awarding TC

"Good work hunter", Hellva said proudly. The Devaronian associate at his side was dressed in a red Hellva uni, with a black cape covering his shoulder and back. His arms folded were folded as he looked to TC a brow cocked and smiled, its fangs exposed, and beady eyes wide. *Nice, clean. No kills. Perhaps we can use his help in other tasks* Hellva's right hand administrator thought as he mused potentional work for TC. Hellva made a motion with his hand to his assistant looking straight at him and the Devaronian unfolded his arms, extended one, opening its hand exposing an electronic credit chip, loaded with the promised two thousand credits. "You are free to go Tee Cee. I have no additional work for you", Hellva said as the Hutt returned to its leisure enjoying fine drinks, the smooth electric tunes of his hired band and the graceful dancing of his Twi'Lek pets.

The room offered drinks for a price at the bar, a sabaac table to gamble and holovids for his viewing pleasure if TC wished. If not, the Weequay guards were available to escort him back out to the corridor, where the choppy droid and Verpine guardsman would see TC back out to the streets of Nar Shaddaa.

Kadran let out a deep sigh and patted his astromech. "This should be interesting", he uttered in a nervous tone, close enough to where only Mira and R2 could hear him. Kadran was fearful of the adventure that the Captain was taking them on this time, hoping it wouldn't be his last. R2 bleeped excitedly, ready for anything and skuttled up ahead of the group, and began to make his way towards the coordinates. Kivas's ship docked at the Hungry Hunter Hive saloon. As he exited his ship, his two assassin droid bodyguards followed. "General, why did we come here?" one of the droids questioned. Kivas remained silent for a minute or two before answering ,then said "i don't know, something in the back of my brain told me to come here". The two droid turned to eachother, then noticing that Kivas had already proceeded into the building they followed. He took a seat in the far back and his guards took up position around him.

The weequay were an odd group to him, having so many factions of it's own, but the two escorted him out to the door without a word, and the droid and Verpine watched as he made his way towards Quadrant A23, as it wasn't far from the Hutt's abode and he figured a decent cantina was deserving his visit. With a hurried pace he leapt off of a balcony and activated his jetpack, flying his way to the Traitors Noose Cantina, basically a war vetran, mercanary, bounty hunter cantina.

Kagen smiled as the little astromech droid sped ahead of him, its Bith owner Kadran following in close pursuit. He appreciated R2?s spirit and savvy as he applied timely modifications to the hyperdrive and power systems when eminent doom seemed upon the crew of the Hammer.

Kagen began to follow Kadran and R2 and looked to his left to Deuce, knowing that he did not need to say a word as the Bothan was always focused on protection and danger surrounding them. He then looked to his right to Sin.

?Sin, be on your guard. If this place proves to be as advertised, it?ll be even rougher than Malastare,? reminding her of the skirmish on the world known for pod racing. He vividly recalled how they had barely survived a firefight with a local swoop gang.

As he continued along to the hanger exit, he looked over his shoulder and said, ?Mira, tap into the quadrant?s database and find out all you can about the Hungry Hunter Hive. We want to be prepared for anything?.

He kept his hand at the ready over his DL44 as he exited the hangar to behold the city streets of Nar Shaddaa Quadrant A23.

    Traitor's Noose

Situated within Entertainment Row, The Traitor's Noose, owned and managed by retired Corellian bounty hunter, Gatt Rullo, was a haven for Nar Shaddaa's toughest bounty hunters. Its walls were ornate of photos of hunters capturing there quarries by various methods. One dipection which made Gatt both wealthy and famous was of his personal capture of Jedi Knight Hagan Massari. The credits from that capture alone paid for Gatt's early retirement some fifteen odd years ago.

Within it, the usual suspects nodded in acknowledgement of TC, no words exchanged, as they liked it. Hunters were an isolated bunch, usually saving their words for intimidation or boasting of a grand score. The light within the darkness, Mel'dandra, the brownskinned Twi'lek with the electric golden eyes, smiled brightly as she walked up to TC and asked him, "What'll it be tonight trooper?"

A marquee upon entry made note that level 1 was for music and drinks, level 2 was fine dining and a show, and level 3 was for gambling and games. Since this visit was for drinks, Kivas and his droids are showed to their table where electronic data menus awaited them.

A server droid rolled up to Kivas and stopped. Its eyes took note of his assassin droids as it paused then said, "Greetings. Welcome to the Hungry Hunter Hive. Would you like something to drink? Perhaps even an oil bath for your droids", ready to take his order.

On the stage some thirty feet away a light purple hued Twi'lek siren sang smooth jazzy music complimenting the calming instrumental sounds of her skilled Bith bandmates. The room was dim, its lights spread out, a spotlight on the singer of the band.

He also knew that he was still a distance from any of the other bounty hunters in the bar, as he still had the loyalty to serve a single group, a group he hoped would return in power, but first he needed his crew to return.

TC sat down at a table near the performing stage, as he had heard that Red Shift Limit was to perform at the bar for the next few days, and wondered what the anti imperial band sounded like. He put his helmet on the table, wishing little to continue carrying it.

GM: Mel smirked, and with a wink said, ?Coming right up?. She then walked away for a few moments tending to her station. The orchestra of low rumblings filled the room as hunters made contact in person and over comlink with their fixers looking for the next big contract or some sufficient side work to cover the basics.

As Mel returned with the Fox beer placing it on a napkin in front of TC, Red Shift Limit were announced to take the stage. A modest applause of claps filled the saloon as the lead singer walked on stage in a shroud with a microphone in hand. His shrouded band members joined him, testing their respective electric lead guitar, bass guitar and drums. The trademark shrouds were part of their act to mock the Emperor and conceal themselves from potential authorities.

In a low voice, the lead singer said, ?This one?s called Petty Prudent Palpatine?. He then smiled and the band?s lead guitar began to screech its opening riff. The singer?s lyrics began the eleven minute thrash metal tale of the account of Emperor Palpatine: his deceitful rise to power, his creation of the Separatist army, his creation of the Clone Army, and his manipulation of both alliances during the Clone Wars, with the ultimate purpose to destroy the Jedi Order and control the universe.

The crowd applauded the crooning of the Twi'Lek siren as her luminous vocals moved the inmost parts of the souls of the attendants. Her etherial lyrics were saturated with memories of a better time, echoing the vibrant days of the Jedi Order when the Old Republic stood strong and powerful. Such were the days of justice, peace and of salvation. Twas a far cry from the current times, under the reign of the oppressive Empire and its Emperor.

The droid server came back with the drinks, placed them on the table and in a proud voice inflection said, "Your droids are getting well saturated with the finest of oils, straight from the geysers of Gall!" It paused then asked, "Will there be anything else? Perhaps something to snack on. We specialize in aquatic cuisine". It waited for a moment for a response glancing at its other tables to tend to.

Mel sat down next to TC and listended to the band jam, most impressed. Red Shift Limit garnered some smiles from the rather calloused audience as the hunters appreciated the nerve of the band. Mel clapped along with the hunters as Slowing the tempo of the electric instruments into a harmonic space ballad, the lead singer said into his mike, "Thank you...thank you all...This one's called, Crimes of Coruscant", as he petitioned in song about the atrocities of the Empire. It was a toned down melodic tune, which served as a sequel to "Petty Prudent Palpatine". Mel closed her eyes and swayed her head to the music.

The Server Droid said in a proud stately voice, "For appetizers we have Mynock chowder, Fried Womp Rat Strips and Kewol Fish Sticks. If you prefer a main course we suggest Wampa Steak or Grilled Kewol Fillets". As the droid finished its announcement of menu items the Twi'Lek siren finished her song, smiled and waved to the audience. She thanked each of them for attending then introduced every member of her band. Afterwards she counted in a loud voice with a wide grin "1-2-3-4", bobbing her head as the band's lead guitarist jammed a smooth intro, with the jazzy drummer complimenting him. She then then started to sing a raw bluesy song showing off her musical range.
