i loved Indianna Jones......and Pirates of the Caribbean,Spidey, and Rainman, not to mention books by Grisham turned into movies. /which sets up another idea....novels you loved/movies you hated. my list idea was lame if i am going to see what everyone else picks and go "oh yeah that was a brilliant one, loved it...." Would be a lot more fun if i was slamming your choices..."what the hell were you thinking ? better yet how old were you when you had that thought? yeah i thought so!
So instead of writing another 10 that i love, i'm gonna jot down 10 that i hate with a passion!
    -1.Mystery Men
    -2.Night of the Living Dead
    -3.Eyes Wide Shut
-4.Tom Greens movie...blanking on the title
    -5.Madonna"......"
    -6.The Scarlet Woman
    -7.Mary Reilly
    -8.White Oleander
    -9.Peggy Sue Got Married
    -10.Blair Witch Project

General Sith, I love you for including Equilibrium. I'm dying to purchase this, if I can find it for cheaper. Not enough extras to ask what they ask for it.

And also for the Futurama stuff.

Kessel I'm going to put some Dvd's together for you to borrow....or once I get better at making Dvd's I'll burn it for you.

I'll send you my Dvd list and you can join Deadflix.

I know you want to see Hero as well. unless you want to wait till it hits the theater.

I think our next meeting we all need to watch some films.
Perhaps we can bust Devins Army of Darkness Cherry.

I do wish I had seen Equilibruim in theaters, but no luck.

But I'm really happy they are putting a new version of Donnie Darko in theaters soon.

Ok I can agree with that list of movie you hate MJ but really..
    1.Mystery Men
    and
    -2.Night of the Living Dead.

Ok the first one I'll give ya anyway....but Night of the living dead??? say it aint so.

Also speaking of the walking dead, When Shaun of the Dead hits our shores I have to see that. (if you don't know I wont ruin it...go look it it up kids.)

Video parties are a MUST for us. It was a regular occurance in El Ay, and I'd love to get to doing that around here.

Chris hasn't seen either Kill Bill yet, and he's also Davis bound. Perhaps I should come over and we should all gather at someone's house to watch Vol 1 and then go to the theaters for Vol 2.

    Gentlemen, welcome to Film Club.
The first rule of Film Club is you don't talk about Film Club...
The second rule of Film Club is you don't talk about Film Club
The third rule of Film Club, if this is your first time at Film Club, you must watch a film.

I like the idea, we could pick a different movie to watch (either theaters or DVD's) and then discuss it at length over twinkies and Pepsi or pizza and beer (root beer that is). :D

Edit: We could make a night of it...first we find a clever, evil, and funny way to get back at Mr Flake..then Movie, Then food and talk.

I also haven't seen either due to Mr. Flake. Well, I'd rather see it with you guys anyways. That ways even if it sucks I'll still get to hang out with the coolest group this side of the Rishi Maze. ;)

Well, Dead I mean it Depends on your company and experience with a particular film. I had meant to say "evil dead" but couldn't remember the title......no calm yourself i am just teasing you. It's certainly not the worst thing ever, just not one of my faves, or anywhere near movies you love to hate... We will have to take this further and discuss best and worst of the horrors...

yes that we will....there is alot of bad horror out there...but yet some of it is still fun.

A good solid horror flick list.

    The Eye
    Devils Backbone
    Ringu
Dawn of the dead (both versions)
    Dog Soldiers
    Brotherhood of the Wolf

I totally agree about Ringu, and the american version was good as well.
    I liked....
    13 Ghosts
    Halloween
    Jaws 1st and 2nd
    The Ghosts of Mars
Hell Train, yes a Linda Blair movie !!!
    My Bloody Valentine
    April Fools
It's My Birthday (not sure about the title, Melissa Sue Anderson was in it)
IT, Stephen King must be mentioned
Scream, et al, yes i copped to it !
The thing that i really like about the old ones is hunting down the young talent in them, its a goldmine of bad acting before they were famos stuff...Like Rene Zellwegger and Matthew McC....ey in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, next generation or something like that. Johnny Depp in the Nightmare on Elm Street....

Night of the Comet, the cheesiest flick, but a keeper.

Are you kidding ? Beaches ? This is a real list, not something you throw together to impress a gf you know!

As for the only opinion that counts, gee a bit late for that arent you ? Better late than never i guess....You do head to the top of the least for having a couple of John Wayne's best on your list, but on the whole your list just doesnt rate up there with the BEST of the BEST in the taste department, but you are a man i will excuse you for that reason, other than Beaches you have compiled a great list of movies i would be pleased to have in my personal library, what am i saying i have most of them.

Ok LDV that list is a perfect example of why Deadpool wasn't about to share a room with you in S.F....whoa.

Oh I could see that night....(wavy flashback music and graphics)

    11:38pm.

Ldv is in his fuzzy pink PJ's with rollers in his hair, writing in his diary and giggling.

LDV: "Hey lets order that new Ashton Kutcher movie on the tv and read Teen Beat."

    Deadpool: "uhhh no."

LDV: "Oh you big grump, you need a shoulder rub, come over here"

    Deadpool: "uhhh no."

    LDV: "I wont bite...hard."

Deadpool: "Ok I'm outta here. I'll be at the crazy horse if anybody calls."

LDV: "Ok but your going to miss the bubble bath time"

    *door slams.

    hee hee.

I never thought of Jaws as horror...but I guess it really is. strange.

I thought I was the only person who enjoyed Ghosts of Mars...sure it's bad but it's that good/bad like Jason vs Freddy (or what I call Rush Hour 3...with lunatics)

if you ever want to see the funniest thing on earth put in disc 2 of the Big Trouble in little China set. look for the Music Video....I wont spoil what it is...but holy crud...that is funny.

    you people kill me!!!

    No taste!!! Sheesh!!!!

MJEH - Uhhh squat and pucker toots

Obviously, you people have no love for the english language! Jane Austen is awesome! And you Deadpoop, a script writer! tsk tsk tsk. You amaze me.

Deadpool - the only way I would share a room with you is if I could sleep with duck tape over my mouth, my butt firmly against the wall and one eye open watching you.

very narrow minded opinions here. but, opinions are like arse holes - everyone's got one, and some stink worse than others (looks at Depends and MJEH). All I saw was horror movies - BORING!!! Splatter films are boring.

Now, if I was to add another couple of movies to the list they would be Signs, Sixth Sense, and Halloween (Non gore - just scary)
