TOURNAMENT! Favorite Attack of the Clones Line!!! [Important Tournament Announcement!!!]

I am happy to announce that for the first time that I'm aware of, a JC Tournament thread is being held outside of the Census forum. If you are not familar with that forum, for the past several weeks, they have been conducting a tornament to find what the fans consider to be the Best Star Wars Line spanning the entire saga. As that tournament is cominng to a close, predictably, all of the lines that remain are from the OT. This got me thinking - I wonder what the Attack of the Clones community would consider the best line of Attack of the Clones? We'll soon find out!


Tournament Rules

The lines will be arranged randomly, and separated into brackets.

Read the latest posts to make sure you are voting on the current bracket.

We will be voting for two pairings until we reach the finals of each bracket, the "elite 8", if you will. Hopefully, with enough interest, each vote will last approximately 24 hours.

Please do not vote more than once using socks. If you are caught doing so, you will lose voting privileges for this tournament.

All decisions of the Tournament Director, aka me, are final. In the event that a vote ends in a tie, my vote will act as the tie-breaking vote.

There will be 4 brackets with 16 lines each, for a total of 64 lines in all.

Well, to get this gravy train rolling we need to cut ten of the choices. As it says above, I would like all intended participants of this tournament to please pick the five quotes from the above list that they feel are the weakest. Please rank your five in order, from 1-5, with number 1 being the quote that you would least like to see in the tournament. After a day or two of preliminary voting, I will cut the ten most requested lines.

We are looking for the BOTTOM five right now, Smuggler. We need to get rid of the ten WORST lines in order to officially start the tournament.

At the current moment, however, we have but one problem - there are just too many good lines in Attack of the Clones!

Some people might argue that the real problem is that there aren't enough good lines in "Attack of the Clones". Not me, however.

Once again, at this stage in the game we are eliminating 10 of the quotes to make an even 64. You were asked to provide me with the 5 that you thought were the WORST of the bunch. Granted, the above quotes may be your 5 LEAST favorite, but seeing as how you are a FIGS member, I sincerely doubt it.

 

I am grateful to all who decided to read before they posted. This tournament is only going to work if we have everybody on the same page.

For those of you who are confused, I'll do my best to briefly explain it again:

This is a TOURNAMENT. It will feature 64 quotes from Attack of the Clones organized randomly in four 16 quote brackets. After we've eliminated the worst 10 quotes, I will begin each day by providing the community with a pairing of two of the quotes. At that point, you are all free to check into the thread and vote on which quote from each pairing is your favorite. We'll keep on going every day until only one quote remains - your favorite Attack of the Clones Line!

The Official Tournament will start tomorrow morning. In the meantime, I am looking for you to vote out the 5 quotes that you'd LEAST like to see in this tournament. The 10 lines which the community least like will be removed immediately by your votes.
