Just letting any Doctor Who fans here know that 'The Dalek Invasion of Earth' is on this Monday 6pm on the ABC.

 

Clone Wars: The Animated Series starts tomorrow (Monday) on Cartoon Network. Check guides for times.

 

I don't have Foxtell, so won't be able to see them. But they look really cool. I've found this cool game on the clonewars site, which seems to give a bit of an idea of what's to come. Here's the link to the site, if you haven't already been there.

I'm a cartoon fan from way back, right back to the days of "Battle of the Planets" and "Starblazers" ... though Akira's more to my taste these days...

 

Battle of the Planets?? Is that only as far back as you go? What about Kimba, and Astro Boy?

Chapter 3 was terrific They are getting better and better.

Clone Wars sound great. I was told that the actors were doing the voices of the cartoons...is that true? I'm waiting till a very very very nice friend of mine tapes them for me. Can't wait!

Oh, and if anyone feels like some really wicked comedy tonight, check out the new series of 'My Hero' on the ABC at 8:30 and the new show following it, 'Believe Nothing'.

 

I downloaded both of the first 2 episodes but I don't seem to have the right codec to play them. I've got the latest Divx drivers so that's obviousy not it but I'll sort it out. Probably chase it up on the weekend and watch them then.

BecJedi, Clone Wars: The Animated Series is terrific. I recommend you check them out.

The only movie actor who does their cartoon voice is Anthony Daniel's for C-3PO. Everyone else has been replaced but the replacement voices are very well done

Chapter 4 was great. Durge and his Droid goons were very nasty. Can't wait for tomorrow's episode! Kit Fisto and underwater lightsaber battle

I?ve seen some stuff on the Kit Fisto episode. It looks so unbelievably cool. Lightsabre battle...underwater. Very cool. I thought they shorted out in water, but this is Star Wars here...anything's possible.

I know! The episode last night was one of the best. Mrs Raven is such a classic. ?And when you wake up you?ll forget about paying me and give me another 30 bucks.? It?s also quite funny to think of Tyler as the same guy who plays that really uptight angry guy on the Bill (is it Dez? I haven?t watched it since it turned into a soap opera).

 

I saw Chapter 5 today and WOW. Kit Fisto is really good. Interesting to see an under-water lightsaber battle. Nice to see the Mon Calamari again and all the Quarrens cool technology

 

Based on the title I assume it's set shortly after episode 2. I didn't realise that the mon calamari and quarren were involved that early. Could be interesting to see after reading descriptions of their cities in books.

 

The Mon Cal at least would be involved. Ackbar was Tarkins slave for many years and learnt all his tactics from him, and Tarkin first appears in Rogue Planet as an officer, but you can see he's a scheming bastard (Tarkin) back then too.

 

Actually Rogue Planet is the only one of the prequel books I've read.

 

I just watched the first three. Pretty good. I'm now downloading the next four.

 

Particularly like the Marcel Marceau clonetroopers. They got some style
