[UN RP] UN Roleplay - Scenario + Instructions

Well, here we are.

Up until the moment of this post, reality is the same in both the game and our lives.

However, from the scenario, reality diverges.

Following the recent events in the Middle East, including nuclear non-compliance, anti-semitism, and increasingly erratic behavior, the national security wing of the Knesset approved a lightning fast military strike against the nuclear plant in Bushehr.

Iran has claimed it was an unprovoked attack against a peaceful installations by Israel, at the behest of the US and UK governments, and has claimed that over 30 Russians were killed. Moscow has remained somewhat tight lipped, suggesting the actual figure may be closer to 4.

Iran has demanded that the UN take action, punishing Israel for the alleged warcrimes. It has suggested if the UN can't stop Zionist aggression Iran will.

However, the IAEA has just released a report suggesting Iran is actually much closer to nuclear weapons than first imagined.

So...

This is the reality we debate now.

Any time you wish to introduce "facts" to debate - a piece of intelligence, a military deployment, a news source - you need to clear it with Mr44 and I first.

The liklihood of success is related to the quality of the request. Poor requests for action will likely result in key pieces of information being passed onto others. Good requests may see disinformation passed to your enemy players.

A reputable news service has just reported that a carbomb has exploded outside the Israeli embassy in London!

Details are sketchy, but it seems there were no deaths, only a few injuries.

fdy: In other news today, the world took one step closer to oblivion as Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced they had captured an Israeli pilot whose plane was shot down during the Israeli raid on the Bushehr nuclear plant. Iran claims to have shot down at least 5 planes, although they were only able to recover 2 bodies along with the POW. Iran is not releasing any information about the POW although they do say he is receiving medical care for the severe injuries sustained during the crash of his plane.
And now halfie with a report on his own sexual disfunctions, halfie?

NEWS FLASH:

Scotland Yard today released a press statement confirming that they have arrested the bombers of the Israeli Embassy.

The men are part of a terrorist cell that is currently active in Iraq, and with suspected backing by Syrian intelligence. They have been linked to several similar attacks in major Iraqi hotspots.

The attack was apparently not related to the recent and controversial Iranian attack on a suspected nuclear weapons site at Bushehr in southern Iran.

Syrian officials have not yet commented.

This comes amid a flurry of diplomatic activity at the United Nations as Israel and Iran answer to the Security Council in a special session called to account for the strike. The Israeli airforce is currently on a heightened state of alert in response to the terrorist attack in London, and there is no word as to their reaction to the news coming from Scotland Yard.
