I think I've created a viable Darth Vader, complete with choking ability. Check it out here.

    Coming soon - Vader's Lightsaber!

That IS cool! Mind if I stick it (and any others) in the CCG section somewhere (probably the new Downtime section)?

I'd be my honour! Go right ahead. I should have Vader's Lightsaber done in a couple of days.

I think I'm gonna play a little joke on a friend of mine who loves SW and lotr and plays both games. I owe him one anyway. It's gonna be hilarious to see his eyes pop out of his head [face_laugh]

A LOTR spin-off SW game with delivering the DS plans, good idea!

Instead of Aragorn you get Solo, instead of Boromir you get Luke, Gimli could be Kyle Katarn, Sam could be 3PO and Leia instead of whoever Liv Tyler played;;D

And you must travel from Tatooine to Yavin IV

    hehe::)

Here's an idea! [uh, oh, they say, another freekin' BPJ tangeant]

Like has been said, you start at a Tatooine site, move through the Death Star and ontop Yavin 4.

Site's 3 and 6, instead of Sanctuaries, are docking bays (you heal on the trip between the Tatooine/ Death Star, and D* and Yavin)

    Cultures
    Light Side
    Luke/ Rogue Squadron [Gondor]
    Rebel (Featuring Leia)[Elf]
    Fringe (Han, Chewie, aliens)[Dwarf]
    Jedi (Obi-Wan) [Gandalf]
    Droid [Hobbit]

    Dark Cultures
Empire (Imperial officers, Tarkin and the like)[Sauron]
Vader/ Sith (with possible bounty Hunters like in ESB)[Ringwraith]
    Jabba [Isengard]
    Troopers [Moria] like the swarm

Artoo (Droid Culture) needs to get the plans to the end site.

Perhaps Vader/The Sith should be Isengard, since thats basicly an evil Gandalf (whom you've placed for the Jedi). I could be missing some other gameplay factor though i suppose...

    My thinking:

Vader is the RingWraith because they seem similar: big, spooky guys that people are afraid to be around. The relationship between Sauron and The Nazgul is similar to what is between Vader and the Emporer. Vader is Palpy's "specialist" just as the Ringwraiths had a specific goal.

Isengard represents Saruman's culture. It seemed like he served the Eye, but in the end he only wanted the ring for himself. In the same way, Jabba is the enemy of both the Rebellion and the empire.

I chose Moria for troopeers because basically, I ran out of things to give a culture to, and I liked the swarm mentality. Note that the Moria Goblins served Sauron, and seemed to be his "lowest" minions (just my opinion- see RotK) just like Stormtroopers are the lowest of Palpy's minions.

As for the Light cultures, just me jumping to conclusions and putting things were I saw fit.

I mean this is crazy! How in the name of all things Star Wars are the Death Star plans going to burden Artoo?

Maybe Artoo is the One Ring and Luke is the droid-bearer. After all, if you try to "put on" Artoo to avoid a blaster shot, you're going to be burdened!

    :)

    My changes in italics:

    Cultures
    Light Side
    Skywalker [Gondor]
Rebel (Alliance High Command, the Rogues) [Elf]
Allies (Lando, Katarn, Ewoks, other Rebel sympathizers)[Dwarf]
    Jedi (Obi-Wan) [Gandalf]
    Droid [Hobbit]

    Dark Cultures
    Empire (Imperial officers, stormtroopers)[Sauron]
Sith (Vader, Palpatine, Mara, Royal Guards, the Inner Circle, other Dark Jedi and Emperor's Hands)
    [Ringwraith]
    Black Sun [Isengard]
    Jabba [Moria]

Black Sun fits Isengard really well because Xizor enjoyed pitting the Empire against itself while helping them out.

Like the Moria culture is best in that particular region, Jabba is master of the Outer Rim--his region. He's a bit weaker (but not too much) the closer he getsd to the core because he has Black Sun to contend with.

The rest the Star Wars "scum and villainy" would be soaked up between the all the Dark Side cultures.

Going with this idea, i came up with a theoretical list of possible sites...although it gets tricky after the Death Star Docking Bay, but i came up with something...

Site 1: Dune Sea, Jawa Canyon, Lars Moisture Farm
Site 2: Tusken Canyon, Ben Kenobi's Hut, Mos Eisley Cantina
    Site 3: Docking Bay 94
Site 4: Detention Block AA-23, Tractor Beam Control Station
Site 5: Trash Compactor, Chasm, Corridor
    Site 6: Docking Bay 327
Site 7: Yavin IV Jungle, Massassi Base
Site 8: Rebel War Room, Rebel Briefing Room, Docking Bay
    Site 9: Death Star Trench

(conceptually your delivering the plans at site 8 and by moving to site 9 your seeing to the destruction of what they represent through their use along the lines of destroying the one ring)

Oh, also, Red, I'm curious- where would Han Solo fall into your scheme? Rebel? Skywalker?

Ok, to the guy who made that card...

    You rule!!!

What program did you use and how did you drop Palpatine in the text box? I don't know how to fade out a selection, or is that how you do it?

E-mail me @ nutegunray13@yahoo.com so we can talk card making ideas.

I am using Corel Photo Paint 9 currently as I have had version 6 for a while and it wasn't too hard to figure out.

Well Nute, I'm using Adobe Photoshop 5.5 right now. Basically, in photoshop, I took the image of Palpatine as a hologram, and since it had a black background, made that layer a "screen", which basically makes all things coloured black see-through and all bright things less transparent. Thusly, the brighter cloak shows up but the shadow is completely see-through. That's how I did it.
