Well, that's what my mom told me. I didn't much like the alcoholic fruitcake I tried, so I stick with the virgin ones.

I wonder how much (other than the flavour) would survive the baking process?

Would almonds be a decent substitute for vweilu nuts, anyone think?

 

Rum, they put rum in fruitcakes. I don't like fruitcakes, or alcohol. Almonds I like, but I think they usually put walnuts in fruit cake, which I also like.

 

I like almonds more than walnuts. Are the nuts in rhyscate ever described, texture wise?

 

Our 'fruitcake' always had Almonds in it in some shape or form (even if only as Ground Almonds)! I'll have to re-read the texts to see if vweilu nuts were ever really described. Also look up Mrs. Beeton's to see how to get a fully brown cake!

 

I'm sure you can put whatever type of nuts you want in any recipe. If I was home I'd grab a book and look up the text, if no one does by tonight I probably will...just because I'll probably be that bored.

 

Okay, checked references in my new ebook of Rogue Squadron from the 4-pack, and it says that the nuts "just melted in his [Corran's] mouth."

So...either they're really soaked in whiskey, or they're more like chestnuts.

Done a little reshuffling so the flights are a bit more balanced.

 

I think people should be allowed to pick. For instance Xani and I want to be flightmates. Also if anyone is flying alone it shouldn't be an FO.
