Quotes look really weird in Chrome when there are sufficient levels of nested quotes relatively to the window width.
I noticed it here.

 

I think that's a cross-browser issue, actually. They used to be polite enough to just break.

 

Yeah they can look a bit strange in Firefox as well. On the IGN boards I think 5 was the nest limit - not sure what it is here. I think Grimby installed a plug-in for the quotes.

 

YouTube has apparently blocked embedding. When I tried a few minutes ago it said that it could not post anything in a frame.

I'm guessing they are ERROR at the moment. That's not really something we can do anything about.

Edit: Seems to be fixed, try manually refreshing the page in question.

 

Why in the hell would YouTube do a thing like that?


EDIT: The embedd videos I posted in the Arena NBA thread that weren't working a few minutes ago now work. So a board glitch on this problem?

 

Does not seem to be consistent with an error on our end. I haven't been having any difficulties.

 

Might have been an error on YouTube's end. I didn't see anything amiss in our server error log.

 

I was just wondering if there are any plans to change the design of the new forums to look a bit more like the old ones. For example, is there any chance that each forum could eventually have its own banner like they did in the past?

 

Styles work differently on Xenforo than on the IGN boards. Xenforo actually recommend that you not have many. We managed to break the temp boards at least once due to style issues. Having said that, I know Grimby's been working on something but we don't have details.

I think the error was on YouTube/Google's end because not long after I posted about the problem I got the error on Twitter YouTube embeds for a short time as well.

 

Anyone else having problems logging onto the board in the evenings? For the past two nights, it seems the forums have gone down around 11pm-ish.

I changed my username two months ago. I understand that the policy is that I am allowed my next change aftersix months, but if I'm paranoid about having that username taken, than can I make a new account to keep that name and then change both of my accounts after four months?

Yes, just register the other name so it gets "reserved" and we can see about switching names when the time comes.

To point towards their post, I assume. IIRC it's been that way since the beginning, so I think it's hardcoded.
