Where to hold C4 poll

I personally can't eat them anymore, but they seemed to be quite popular in Indy....

 

Are those the (in)famous burgers with the holes in them and are served with cooked onions?

 

I love the castles but hey they dont go with the long lines.Youd miss a lot on the second day.

Heh, yeah, lets hold it in Dallas one of the hottest most humid locations in the country....I really want to see thousands of people in uniforms, and costumes passing out in line from heat exhaustion.

That would be just downright amusing. Those folks were sweating thier butts off in Indy when it was only about 40 degrees and low humidity.

Now who suggested that?

 

Amen!!!! I have a Darth Vader costume, probably one of, of not THE hottest Star Wars costume you can wear. If C4 were to be held in Dallas, there would be a lot of people who would be on the ground dead from heat stroke!!

I still think Indy is the place to hold it. At least we won't melt to death in our costumes!

My plan is to have a TIE Pilot and Biker Scout costume ready for C4, and neither is something I want to be standing around in while in the hot sun with high humidity! To be honest, there's very few costumes that work in high heat. Even the breathable clothes used by a lot of Jedi would get soaked, heavy, and oppressive. Only Slave Leias might be best able to deal with it.

 

Okay, only one way to settle this.

All the moaners who have done nothing but complain about the weather in Indy for being too cold and rainy in one corner... And the costumers who would prefer a more temperate climate in the other.

I Still like Minneapolis as a Convention City in Spring and Summer, but somehow I don't think folks will ever get past this fairy tale that it is cold all year long. It is, in fact glorious there in the second half of April and May and June

i arrived in Indy on the wed for CIII it was beautiful i got a sun burn! Anyway, We are all inside most of the time... except for the lines, which we should just make absolutlly clear to gencon and lucasfilm that they need to be FIXED so people are not standing outside....And BINGO, beautiful city, familliar surrounds, centralish to most of us, PERFECT

That would be way to expensive. Though it would be great to have it their, as I live only about an hour or so away, it would be too expensive for hotels and everything else you got to consider for people flying in from out west and such.

 

On second thought, I want it to be someplace I have never been, and not in my backyard.

SD is out......Comic Con to worry about
Indy......Someone was't happy, so they are not going there.

My call is LA, it is in there heart of hollywood and we would get bigger name actors there. Mark lives just an hour away.

Not true. I live in Ottawa, Ontairo....we have a bit of a rivalry with our NHL hockey teams. byt TO would still be cool, becuase it is only 4 hours away

I think LV still has some appeal to families, but honestly, there were't that many kids at CIII. And the harsh truth is, kids don't have and spend money, adults do. Vegas would also have appeal to the celebs I would think. Instead of sitting around their hotels after hours like they seemed to do in Indy, they could visit the casinos, catch a show with a Grammy winning artist, see various attractions, and so on.

 

Toronto would be a great place to have C4 because I live there! I could actually attend it.

 

It should be in Charleston, West Virginia. We have never had anything here, it would be perfect. Oh, we would have to have it outside. Cuz we don't have a venue large enough. We don't have indoor plumbing, so you would have to use the outhouse. We don't have many hotels. Except the one built around 1950 or so. Just kiddin.


I want it to be in Indy again, or St. Louis. West coast is too far (won't happen).
