Typically, mods unite under a certain color scheme in protest of something. I did it a couple of times in the past too.

If it's like every other time it happens, it's about some silly, overblown, internal "strife" among the mods. Someone probably said something they don't like, and rather than take the principled stand of acknowledging who's in charge and just getting out of the way, a few have decided to make a public spectacle of themselves.

In a nutshell, the inmates think they run the asylum, and they don't like to be told differently.

I changed mine for personal family reasons. These are always the colours I use when I'm sad about something.

because some of us disagree with a current decision that's being debated, and we have chosen to change our colors to represent such.

at the moment, it's still a private issue in the mod squad, and i hope that you can understand why some things need to be kept private. depending on how it all turns out, the reasons behind it may become public anyways.

whether we're doing it for a good reason or not may change from person to person, and everyone is intitled to their opinions.

I?m mostly disappointed that I can?t change my colors to match the group. On the other hand, at least one moderator has gone back to her original colors and icon. I suppose I could do that.

 

Why don't you take a real stand and step down. This color-changing crap is just silly. Solidarity is for oppressed Polish workers, not people chosen to play editor on a silly message board.
