    Darth Cruor
    Nearing the Shrine

After the dust had settled, the blood began drying and no enemy was there to fight, he followed the less subtle suggestion by Darth Null. The Shrine. They were to meet there, he assumed.

Slowly turning. "Can´t wait to leave this mudhole. Let´s go." Was all he said to Darth Askenis and made his way to the Shrine. Stepping over bodies of Nexu. Seeing smoke from fire and explosion, slowly killed by the constant rain.

As he approached the Shrine the little bug of an apprentice and his fat Master stood there like Emperor´s. Even his dark soul, cold as the metal his body was composed of, could feel disgust when he saw the bulky, bizaree, sweating shape of Darth Null.

Yet, he had power. It was undeniable. And power coutned. For now he would follow his lead, as it seemed to be wiser than the one of Morde. "Where is Morde?" He asked. Only to learn if he would hear the truth.

Then he looked at the apprentice.

Yesh e would follow. If he would share the praise with them, was another matter. No Sith could simply kill another. But Darth Krayt did not gave a damned about Null. Everrybody knew.

"And where do we go from here?" He added. A question he was actually much more interested in.

    Darth Null
    Gelgelar, The Shrine

Darth Cruor and Darth Askenis arrived, soon. Darth Null only looked up for a second and snorted uninterested. "Where is Morde?" Darth Cruor demanded to know. Wasn´t it obvious?

"Isn´t it a refreshing change you don´t ask all the stupid questions?"
Darth Null asked Malignedy. Then he turned to the machine.
"What part of him are you searching for?" He asked back. And with that it was no more a topic for him. Turning the map again he finally deactivated it, looking up at the other Sith.

"And where do we go from here?" Cyborg Cruor wasn´t tired of asking.

"Oriob-System." Darth Null showed the disturbing grin on his face he had since he had become disfigured. "Looks like our superiors were wrong, all along. Krelwaak has never moved far away from Morcant, were he was last seen. He had made his allies come to him!" Null barked out. "Hah!" Then he moved his bulky body down the stairs. "Let´s go. I hate this place." He hissed and made his way to the starfighters.

He had to admit it was nice in some way not to be the brunt of his Master's disdain, but always careful was he to keep his anger stoked and a flame before him as his envy found place to sink it's harsh tendrals.

"Let´s go. I hate this place." Darth Null hissed and made his way to the starfighters.

Malignedy as was expected followed close behind, lips flapping silently to keep his anger on the surface until safely off to their next stop in his ship. Maybe not technically his ship...yet, but all things in good time.

    Oriob-System
    Near the Dracm-Nebula

    Soundtrack - Oriob

Once the four Sith Lords had left Gelgelar, they met little life. The Outer Rims was rarely settled in this region of space. Where once great empires had fought for territory - the Chis, the Tof, the Nagai and at some point even the Yuuzhan Vong - now was the deadly calm of abandonment.

    [image=http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/72/Omega_Nebula.jpg]

The location the Grinning Reaper had made it´s way to was on the far edge of the Oriob-System, near the great nebula, named after it´s trandoshean discoverer the Dracm-Nebula. Rumor and legends had been told of this nebula. So far into the galaxy, even the Sith might have heard some. Of space-travellers entering and only to never been seen again. Of monsters lurking in the depth of the nebula, imprisoned by Jedi centuries ago and eager to be freed. Of the Antillian Gods being trapped inside the morphing shape of gaseous liquids. Or of ancient evils, hiding inside.

The vanishing of the population of the only nearby planet some years prior to the end of the war hadn´t helped. Morcant´s only colony had disappeared over night in the year 128 ABY. And with the war reaching it´s high-point, it had probably been overlooked and consciously ignored. Conspiracy theories and whispers of Yuuzhan Vong involvement had been on the streets after that. As the Sith were no victim, they had not been involved. The Jedi though obviously had been. And Master Krelwaak had seen a hyperdrive-hour away from this Nebula on the very planet were the vanishing had happened a week ago. Now his affirmative allies from Gelgelar had made their way here.

The four Fury-Class fighter darted into the thick of ionized particles. Still following the read-out given by the Gelgelar data. Obviously the Grinning Reaper had jumped right into the Nebula. Meaning their hyperdrive was probably melted by now from the ions. It looked as if they had never wished to get back to known space.

And suddenly something came through the static of their comm-units. A voice. An automated voice of a droid.
" . . . for landing procedures. End of transmission. Dear arrival. Your ship has. Been. Identified and is now. Guided to our hangar. Guidance-signal for your autopilot system is. Activated." And out of nowhere a space-station, a giant space station appeared . . .

    [image=http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y141/igallo/HarrisWar.jpg]

" . . . Welcome to Vigo. Prepare for landing procedures. End of Transmission. Dear arrival. Your ship has. Been. Identified and is now. Guided to our hangar. Guidance-signal . . ."

    Darth Null
    Inside his Fury-Class, Dracm-Nebula

Fairy-tales and rumors. Like every place not totally explored by the people of the galaxy . . . the Nebula had attracted only stupidism and superstition. Sith usually were making good use of such things, but in this case . . . it was different. He was annoyed. Yes, he did not show it, but yes . . . he was a little frightened. Why?

If the orders greatest warrior went into hiding here . . . there was something here, beneath the cover of legends.

And most likely that something was . . . a trap.

"Vigo-Station? That is an Old Republic Colony. Haven´t seen any of these since my time in the cluster." He barked into his comm. "Let´s get inside and kill this Jedi. The sooner we get over with it, the better."

He gave the autopilot command and reached out with the force. Preparing for . . . whatever it was they were soon facing.

"I have a bad feeling about this." He whispered to himself.

Askenis listened to the droid's speech and then snorted quickly. Krelwaak was a fool; there was nowhere else for him to go. The Kaminoan was surprised that the Jedi Master appeared to believe that he could actually escape the four Sith by heading to some obsolete space station in an ionized cluster. It just made no sense for such a wise being to do such a thing. However, Askenis knew that this also meant that the four of them would have a better chance of destroying him if he were indeed trapped inside a floating station; all they would need to do would be to keep him from escaping.

"Let´s get inside and kill this Jedi. The sooner we get over with it, the better." Darth Null said over the comm to the other three fighters. Askenis thought that this was a rather obvious point, but he wasn't going to say anything. He just wanted to remove the threat as quickly as possible.

    Nebula, Oriob-System

The Nebula was threatening. But the station was a deathtrap. It was huge, but impossible to hide from them in there. It was a very sophisticated trap or the hunt would soon be over.

Darth Cruor guessed it was the second. Many Jedi were broken. He had suspected before, that some of them actually wanted to die. Maybe Krelwaak was one of them.

Landing? "Affirmative." He replied. The fat Lord went on his nerves. "Right behind you, Darth Askenis."

    Part II - The Colony

    Soundtrack - The Colony

    [image=http://fc09.deviantart.com/fs26/f/2008/032/f/a/Dropship_hangar_by_agnidevi.jpg]

No sign of life was visible, while the four Sith landed. Yet the moment they crossed the boundaries of the station something became apparent. Something was there. A presence unlike any ever perceived. Not living, not material. Something radiating from the force itself. Yet there was a passiveness to this presence. An anomaly.

The ships set down and ancient droids came nearby to maintain them. The Hangar was empty, except a single freighter sitting down nearby. Abandoned as seemingly the whole station was. Only in the force the minds of other beings could be perceived. Nearby. Calm, serene and unnerving devoted to something. Whispers were heard through the corridors, sometimes drowned by the noise of automated mechanics that were filling the station but then again carried into the hangar. Languages none of the Sith had heard before. Or at least not in a way he could recognize it, now.

There was no trace of a Jedi Master in the force. But that wans´t surprising. One who had survived the hunt that long had to be good in hiding.

As they entered the station itself the feel of an abandoned place kept feeling desolate and empty. The halls became broader, wider.

Only Darth Askenis - as they passed the first hall - saw something. Someone. A hooded person stood above them on a balustrade. Nodding to him, his red chin under the hood identifying him as a Sith. He put his finger to his lips, suggesting Askenis should not reveal his presence ot the others. And retreated into the shadows.

Before the group of Sith the gate opened and a single man stepped out. Tall and slender. With a body that moved with utmost grace. Though his features were hardly visible in the rarely illuminated corridor.

    [image=http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs6/i/2005/094/1/c/monk_by_vangerianin.jpg]

"I am Jazan. My greetings, traveller´s. We welcome the Sith to the colony. Have you come to join or disturb our circles?" The asked, his voice calm. No sign of fear in his presence.

    Darth Null
    The Colony

Strange. That was what this place was. Strange.

Darth Null kept his hand near his lightsaber, his senses acute and his apprentice nearby. He did not trust this. It was too obvious for a trap and to convenient to be luck. They had the Jedi Master, one of the greatest of his orders, nailed to a space station? No, they hadn´t done anything, but he was hiding here? Awaiting them to be hunted down?

The possibility that he wanted to die couldn´t be ruled out, obviously. Jedi were hunted, had lost their status, order and purpose in the galaxy. The Sith had shown the Galaxy their true colours. And it hadn´t been pretty. Perhaps he wanted to die in dignity. Facing a bunch of enemies and slicing down one or two of them, be fore he fell. Null liked the idea. But doubted it was the truth.

The man who appeared was of an unidentified near-human species. He did not show enough fear, Null thought. The unusual calm of him was unnerving.

"I am Jazan. My greetings, travellers. We welcome the Sith to the colony. Have you come to join or disturb our circles?" He spitted to them.

"We´re here for the Jedi Master, Jazan. Hand him over, or there won´t be any circles left to disturb." Null hissed back. Raising the brows of his disfigured face. Looking to Cruor and Askenis, he nodded. They would understand. He did not intend to let the man go, before they had answers.

    The Colony

The station felt strange. It smelled strange. It even tasted strange, when you breathed the air. It was a place of total strangeness. Cruor did not like it.

At least something showed eventually up that could be killed. A guy who had quite some confidence for his life hanging at a thin thing called "usefullness".

    Darth Null
´s nod indicated their new "leader" agreed. Cruor circled the man and stepped behind him. His hand at his lightsaber. His artificial eyes probing the body of the man for sign of stress. Which were surprising abscent from his metabolism. But he was of an unidentified species. Probably the sensors weretreacherous, here.

Looking at Askenis and then at he Duk he wondered what they would find here? The sense it wasn´t only a Jedi awaiting them in these halls made an concerned. Even anxious.

He liked it. Fear was something very abscent to a machine. It was nice to feel he wasn´t one, from time to time.

This place...it was in a way it was better than where they had left. Solid walls, technology all about...and it gave rise to great fear in him. Something which quickly was cutting a channel through his being, something which he tried hard to contain for the moment, for soon it would be handy but when?

The question seemed to almost answer itself as the strange being appeared and asked if they were to join the colony or disturb it's circles? An odd turn of phrase and one that he much didn't like as visions of killiks and other such horrors of the few sith history classess danced in his head. Where one's will was integrated but oneself possessed will was discarded, an idea that made his arms on edge with fear and gratitude in a small for what his master did as they hung near his weapons...ready.

Lowering himself slightly he awaited the final gong, what yet would unfold here? and would they all survive this new meeting?

    Colony

Something seemed out of place in the colony. Askenis had felt a disturbance in the Force, and it bothered him. The emptiness of the hangar and the colony was very suspicious, and he figured that he would have to tread carefully if he wanted to be ready for an enemy strike. Looking around at his fellow Sith, he reasoned that the group could take on any kind of surprise attack, although one might be killed in the process. It all just seemed too easy; if Krelwaak was indeed here, he must have a plan, or else he wouldn't have led them there. The ship and Gelgelar seemed to be pawns in the game of the Jedi Master's choosing. Askenis never liked to be the pawn; he preferred to be the game master.

As the group walked along, Askenis saw something in the corner of his eye, and both eyes shot towards the source of movement. He also outstretched his hand a little, ready to grab his lightsaber if it was indeed an attack. It was a hooded figure standing on the balustrade; Askenis wondered who the figure was. From the underside of the figure's chin, he appeared to be a Sith due to red markings. This confused the Apprentice's mind for a moment; what was another Sith doing here? The group was never informed that they should expect some company. Or, had the Sith Order decided that the group he was a part of was a lost cause, and sent a Sith mercenary to either eliminate them or get the job done? The figure moved a finger to its lips, causing Askenis to not say a word, before it slipped into the shadows. Askenis wasn't intending to say anything; he was still puzzled by who the figure was and what they were doing here. As the group of Sith approached the gate, it opened, and a man approached them.

"I am Jazan. My greetings, traveller´s. We welcome the Sith to the colony. Have you come to join or disturb our circles?" Askenis looked at Jazan strangely. What did he mean by circles? Was this some kind of ritual colony? Before he could think any more, Darth Null said

"We´re here for the Jedi Master, Jazan. Hand him over, or there won´t be any circles left to disturb." After this, he nodded to Askenis and Darth Cruor. Askenis took this to mean that Null wasn't about to let Jazan go without information. But, in the back of his mind, Askenis began to wonder if this was indeed a trap, and why another Sith was in the colony.

Soundtrack - The price for arrogance

Jazan turned his head to Darth Null and it slowly fell to the side. Eyeing the bulky Sith Lord like an animal in the zoo . . .

"A bold statement, Sith. You´re arrogance is even worse than the Jedi´s. But before this is over, you´ll regret you haven´t been more humble." The strange man of unknown species showed an amused smile. Much like a man, smirking about a childs folly.

Darth Cruor suddenly felt an burst in the force. Danger. A split-second later Darth Null and Malignedy felt the same.

But only Darth Aseknis could see. A Jedi . . . not any, but Master Krelwaak appeared behind Darth Null.

    [image=http://fc08.deviantart.com/fs9/i/2006/341/9/e/Jedi_by_tarrzan.jpg]

Unseen, unheard by the others the Jedi ignited his lightsaber and raised it to attack Null, and the Sith. His face showed a grin, a wild grin. And his body leaped towards it´s target.

The other Sith felt the danger. But no sign from where it was coming.

Askenis knew that something was definitely out of place when he heard this, but was not able to confirm it until he saw Jedi Master Krelwaak standing right behind Darth Null, ready to strike down the Sith Lord with his lightsaber. the Jedi had a grin on his face that Askenis found annoying, and he felt the need to say something. Krelwaak leaped at his target, lightsaber raised to make the kill on the unsuspecting Sith.

"It would be in your best interest to move!" Askenis shouted at Null coldly, not wanting to sound like he cared for the other Sith's life. What he wanted was to get the other Sith to realize where Krelwaak was and then take him on, even if Null got killed in the process. However, if the Sith were killed, the others would probably figure it out on their own - if they weren't killed in the process.

He whirled around, igniting his red blade and staring into the dark. Nothing was there. Looking around he realized he had turned his back to the stranger and turned his upper body again.

Seeing Jazan´s smile Darth Null released his own grin. "Funny?" He asked the man and moved his blade up. It Jazan wasn´t lightsaber-proof, he would be sliced in two. Almost a too quick end for someone who had held the promise to be an endless annoyance.

Then he looked over to Askenis. had the other Sith dared to make fun of him? OF HIM?

As everything started to move he kept his peace and stepped to the side at Darth Askanis' mention for his Master to move. His hands quickly relieving his belt of his lightsaber shoto and blaster, to glance around at nothing.

He had thought that maybe the threat was cloaked from the force as he had not felt that recumbant itch at the back of his head warning of danger, but only space greated his defences. Hate was getting easier all the time as it welled up within him his lips pulling up in a snear as his throat quivered, only Darth Null's promised action gave him respite as he slashed to split in twain the strange visage before them.

For in his Master's words and actions solace and fulfillment of a dark purpose hung in the force like a sweet ambrosia to his hearts desire.

Revenge, like many things, was best served by anothers hand.

His lightsaber snapped alive and his body whirled around towards the assumed danger.

    To find nothing there . . .

Null was raging. At Jazan. Cruor only realized it in the back of his brain, as his head slowly turned. What was Askenis doing? The sith was ambitious, like most Sith were. Something lost to the metal that made Cruor these days. But ambition clouded judgment. Made people erratic, unreliable and eventually dangerous. Loyality was something the One Sith did encourage. But something all to difficult to command when your followers served the dark side.

Cruor made the decision in the length of half a second. If Askenis moved against Null, Null provided better stability to the mission and a second Sith, his apprentice. Askenis was a danger, then.

Watching him from the corner of his eyes he the grip around his lightaber tightened. He did not show any sign of preparation, but the arificlial muscles and metal made senews inside of his body prepared to turn. And face the danger.

It was the same moment Jazan collapsed. Both halfs of him, as the lightblade of Darth Null left him. And for Malignedy and Darth Cruor it all made terrible confusing sense. The moment Null had killed this self declared speaker of the colony, Askenis seemed to activate his lightsaber, rising it . . . as if to attack the other Sith.

It happened in a splitsecond. Null severad upper torson from Jazan´s leg, Askenis activated and rose his lightsaber. Null shocked. He acted.

For him it was not important why askenis had activated his lightsaber or wanted to kill Null. He did. And Cruor had already decided he was on Null´s side in this.

Not a thought crossed the metallic Sith´s mind, therefore. Only reflexes. The reign of reaction. As his arm extended and his red blade activated at full length, impaling Darth Askenis. "Traitor." He said. Without passion. And moved the blade up.

    Soundtrack - The Cold Embrace

The Jedi Master never got to Darth Askenis as he suddenly felt the burn of a lightsaber from the side. And the world went slow. Krelwaak began to fade, growing pale and finally vanished. Within´a second but it appeared to need an eternity. And the final heartbeat to Darth Askenis was never delivered. He felt something rach out at him. It wasn´t chaos dragging him into the darkness but something far more . . . present. There was no other way to say it. It seemed to crawl into him. Into his soul. Into the essence of his being. It was cool. It was growing colder. Until it froze him from insight.

    Enclosing his existence.

    Consuming.

    All that was him.

    In a cold embrace . . .

Before [b]Darth Cruor[/b] could do anything but fell the other Sith´s death his lightsaber suddenly felt no more resistance. The dark robes of the Kaminoan Sith fell to the ground and his body as gone. Like old stories told about Jedi. Nobody had ever told these stories about a Sith.

[b]Jazan[/b]´s body spasmed a last time as it lay on the floor. Then three Sith stood in the corridor. Surrounded only by silence and the shadows their burning lightblades cast.

And the strange feeling they were watched.

A game but also an attempt to build a bridge between the Games-forum and the RPF.

    133 ABY - The Vulture´s Talon

. . . tells the tale of from the fringer´s point of view and uses the original d6 rules by West End Game to do so.

It will be an action-packed, relaxed and easy going detour from our usual RPF routine and I would be glad to welcome any or all of you to play with us.

    Darth Null
    Colony, Corridors

Darth Askenis vanished. It was shocking enough he had ignited his lightsaber and raised it to strike Darth Null down. Not to say it had been the machine that had delivered the kill. But a Sith did not vanish. There were libraries on Korriban about the "vanishing" of Jedi Masters. It did not happen to a Sith.

Staring at the falling robes a moment longer than he felt comfortable with Darth Null turned his head up. "Traitors and fools." He smiled. Kicking Jazan´s upper half. The smile was not relaxed. Yet, he tried to hide his tension. Betrayals were common among sith, even though less so among Krayt´s Sith. But this had been so unmotivated. Why?

"Let us see who these people he talked about are. And if we need to, we´ll simply begin killing them. That should lure the Jedi Master out. Apprentice? You stay close to me." Darth Null tightened his grip around his lightsaber. Looking at his apprentice something seemed odd about him, too. "Is there anything, little bug?" He asked.
Something had been wrong about the scene that had just happened. Maybe it was the fact Darth Askenis hadn´t even looked at him. Or it was the strange feeling he had when Darth Askenis died. It hadn´t felt . . . natural.

That was...most odd. Although he knew the phenomina of force ghosts was common to both Jedi and Sith, or rather had happened, he had never found in all his readings even on Korriban about a Sith dissappearing upon death.

Not to mention his eyes were feeling a little glazed from what had passed before them. He couldn't quiet make out what was up with the vision of the whirling light, something that didn't have a physical conterpart or cause nearby but was in his vision for that brief moment. That brief moment before everything changed as the potential traitor, an oft term even among the disciples of Krayt though not as often as not, had been cut down.

As his Master Darth Null spoke after the death of the 'greeter' and the Kaminoan Sith, it was obvious to his familiar eyes that he was disquieted at least some by the whole affair. Somewhat odd in many ways, although the familiarity from his side such that knowing wasn't odd but merely the fact that it was there after all his Master had boasted of in the past. Either way he knew he would follow his Master's orders and stay close.

Then he got a bit of shock as Darth Null asked, "Is there anything, little bug?"

Little bug? Was that a sign of compassion? He could taste his bile rise at the mere thought of such a thing, and wondered nearly absently if his final duty was to be this man's final apprentice and to put him out of his softening sickness.

"Merely...merely wondering if I may have his things Master." With that he bowed his head eyes focused on the heap where a split Kaminoan's body should have been.
