I was going to come today, but unfortunately I have to stay at home, and search the 'net for a new place to live, as my lease expires March 29th... want to live somewhere closer to work.

 

So who IS going? Still no reply from PoT, but R_P and I are definitely coming!

Well I've been I've conquered and I've fallen asleep as many have noticed. Not due to boredom but hard training followed by a five minute shower change and lunch then back in the car to the Fandom of great halls to see Lord Vader in the flesh, Relive my day at the Magic of Myth, Meet new faces but no new people, to Laugh, to eat, to bid, to buy. The only thing I feel I've not achived is the art of ballet today.

I'm proud, but Unprepared for my Ballet lessons start tomorrow where my pink skirt will help me win the crowd... I mean Ahem,

(J/K, I have no dreams of Ballet and only wear pink skirts to Funrals.)

 

A very good meet, if I do say myself. I wanted those damn jelly beans, though...

Mixo and Lute, I swear to God the two gentlemen I turned around and stared quizically at were you two! Instead, all I got was a "**** off" glare. Which, at the time, was very Dickensian.

 

James that still could've been Mixo and Lute, but my bets are that Mixo was the one with the eye liner triangles things... If anyone else saw that guy you Might agree...

When I arrived at a suitably late time, there was much fun being had watching the NSW FanForce beating each other with sticks. Then it was on to Dag's bloody fantastic auction (great bloke that he is, a credit to fandom I might add) where I bought absolutely nothing, but TJ picked up a nifty little Darth Maul coin box.

After a lengthy discussion on love and romance in Star Wars, as well as a little music clip from Dags (which didn't feature Blade Runner from what I saw, I was somewhat disappointed in that), the Mandalorians decided to pike on us and head down to Minotaur or some such place. The rest of us (Jem, Damir, Jess, TJ and myself) stuck around to have a go at getting proton torpedoes into the exhaust shaft...in other words, we threw polystyrene balls at a grey-coloured hole. But hey, I got one in, so I was happy.

All in all, a fun excursion. I can't wait until the next one!

 

Indeed it was great time and quite a good turn out!

I just can't believe I got outbid twice... that Calendar was mine, damn it! I don't mind as much with the stickers, I'm too cheap to go up from a $4 bid Dags, you're the auction god!

It was nice to finally put name to face and I just loved the dazed looks that went around when LVFF managed to sneak in 'Huggard' in the beginning.

Next meet will be even grander, they're giving out some nifty posters

 

The meet was on,
The stakes were hiked,
The Huggards showed,
Sick Individuals Piked.

Great fun for all,
Dags did his best,
We were all greatful
When Vader was dressed.

Some random guy explained his book,
PoT and JE had dirty looks,
"He's on drugs" one described,
(more than likely, not prescribed).

The day was short, refreshments cheap,
We were lacking a blow up sheep,
But not to worry my fiendish friends,
For all good things must come to ends.

 

I did miss out!

 

Well, R_P's fine rhyme,
sounds so damn sublime,
a grand ol' time,
as line by line,
Dag's entranced his own kind.

'Twas some fine lumber in the construction, as JE noted,
I simply nodded and said "I'm excited", feeling quite bloated,
Hawk and Jess skipped and quipped,
about Host Scheme thankfully tight lipped.

RP's eyes told a thousand words,
500 times over: "what nerds"
JE and I dared one another,
seeing the 90 in one hand, and Artoo in the other.

"Let's get this loser" RP smugly grunted,
"I want more milk" I vaguely muttered,
"I bloody dare you" exclaimed JE with a grin,
my eyes lit up, and exclaimed: "I'm in".

We failed in our task, but good fun all the same,
At times warm and fuzzy, in others rather inane,
we scared Lachie a fair bit, which is all in fun,
Did anyone suspect I was full of a bit'O lum?

LordVaderFF, my hat off to you,
To Dags - our hero - kudos to you too,
To all in sundry, I hope 'twas a grand time,
but for me, I'm off, to chop a fresh pine.

Wanders off to bed in a daze
