maybe i should buy a bantha and paint it white, you know it is hard to buy a gift seeing as we have all those collectors in the group they might be too jaded about the gifts.

 

Clarification: We used to call stuff you want to get rid of white elephant gifts. We buy gifts (Star Wars related) that we would like to get ourselves, or maybe that we already have.

JD, please check the minutes. I could not remember if we decided on the $10 - $15 range or the $15 - $20 range. I know we bantered back and forth on it.

 

I checked, and it is $10 minimum / $15 maximum gift.

Boo for me, since I totally overspent then, and I'll be taking my gift back for one that will not be so great. Bummer for whoever would have gotten my cool Sith Infiltrator toy. I guess instead it'll be a Yoda ornament.

 

I don't think the world will end if a gift is a little over the $20. If anything it might spice up the gift exchange

 

I really dont care about the gift part, as a bonus i may actually get to take my gift back home with me(i do like it ever so much).

 

That's why this one is called a white bantha gift trade.

I can attend the party provided if I can crash at one of the other group member's house (since I would be coming by bus from Woodland/Davis). Unless someone happens to be coming from the Woodland/Davis area then I can go and come back with them.

Actually, Jedidoria, you come out from Vacaville area which goes right by Davis. Would you be able to give me a ride if I met you guys (is your husband and/or kids going?) somewhere there? I'll be more than willing to contribute money for gas. Actually, I would moreso need a ride back to Davis, so if picking me up would be an inconvenience, a ride back with you guys would be great enough.

Aunt Beru, I may be able to help with the decorating; I'll have to see as I don't have my calendar with me at the moment. I'll let you know by this weekend.

Ha! This post makes me chuckle. Uh, no, JDN, I won't be able to give you a ride. The husband is actually a soon-to-be-EX-husband and my kids won't be joining me for this event. Maybe another time.

Yes, let me clerify this ... it DID look like a freshly laid log of poo. And yes, TJ DID digest it and if I would have had my camera ready, I would be able to show proof at this very moment. And YES, I would take this opportunity to make fun of TJ if I "had" the pic.

But alas, I am building a couple of DVDs for the Christmas party as I speak ... and yes, it will be "funny" to all.
