Nevermind, I'm at a different branch (home sweet home) and they work fine!! COOOOOOOOL!!!

 

In a most strange turn of events, I actually MET the person who is in the pic below (Between the Stormie and DSGeorge). I had heard there was another 'SW Geek' like myself at work, but had never met her. I mentioned to her the meeting this Saturday, but she will not be attending.

The real bad ass is the little guy with the blue saber. Although his choice of saber color is questionable for a Darksider, he can definitely put the hurt on ya!!

I wish I had found out about this board before now. The only reason I started looking around here is because of the IMAX release and with LFL wanting FF and the 501st to work together for special promotions at the various IMAX releases. I don?t know if Fresno is getting the IMAX version of AOTC, but Sac is and we as a group are going up that way to play guard duty for the opening weekend. Fresno has an IMAX right, I think I have been past it before, like way out in Clovis maybe.


Anyhow, none of those pics work, but I know they are old now, so no big deal. And yup, that was my small Modesto squad of the Central CA Garrison of the 501st. I am the PR rep for this area and I actually set up this event for the opening weekend of AOTC. We did a lot of event that weekend of the premier, I think I dressed up about 5 days in a row to do a different event each day.


And we have 2 Merced event this month (Oct. 02), I will start a new thread and post info there for you guys.

 

there was an IMAX here, but it was only open for like 6 monthes and then it closed down...

Yup, that me in those pics. So who was it that went here? And how did you find out about it that event?

Oh, and we officially have 4 of the 501st members in Merced, the 2 troopers and the Fett in the pics. And now have one of our 501st members living down in Fresno as well too. I'll get you more info on that soon and hook him up with the board if you guys want to get more things happening down that way.


Also, sorry to hear about the IMAX closing, that sucks. It looked like a real nice place when I was out that way.
