groan...it actually says "all female warrior fight"...is that supposed to appeal to fanboys or something?

Especially when this seems to be written by a male_____Paul Dini
and directed by a male___Dave Filoni

Hopefully no use of Jello or Mud will be involved:D

    GREAT episode,

best use of amimated light-sabres I have seen.

Jedi vs Sith fights, very believable and for me,

seemed to create the emtional intesnity that I rarely see,

even in the classic triolgy. It was up there with Darth Maul,

the animators/editors/writers did an amazing job.

Agreed. Good choice of Olivia d'Abo to voice Luminara. I did not expect the character to have a British accent (hey, she's not an Imperial officer!). That was a nice touch.

    Per Wikipedia:

d'Abo was born in London, United Kingdom, the daughter of Maggie (née London), a model and actress, and Mike d'Abo, a singer and member of the Manfred Mann band.

Apparently not to be confused with the subsequent Manfred Mann's Earth Band.

Not a bad episode, well balanced.

but once again, we all get to wince in pain over the next one,

Oh what ever could I be talking about!

I thought it was another good episode, spoiled only by what is coming next week (i.e., He Who Shall Not Be Mentioned).

Also, more Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Luminara Unduli, etc. please.

Not a good episode this week, in my opinion. Weak story and poor voice acting. Regarding the latter, Jar Jar's voice was not right at all (played by BJ Hughes, not Ahmed Best). Story-wise, I could buy the pirates-capturing-a-Sith-lord idea last week, when it was 30-40 armed pirates all pointing weapons at an unarmed Dooku, but the scenes this week with a few pirates guarding a cell with three Jedi (ok, two Jedi and one Sith) was too much. I hate unrealistic plot points in my nonfiction! :-B

I hope things pick up next week, with the series debut of Aalya Secura. It will be interesting to see who they get to voice her.

    Basically, I agree with TaunTaun_We,

except, that when I see such a weak plot-device,

ie, pirates capturing 2-Jedi and a Sith Lord,

I try to delude my self with the imagined
creation of some kind of elaborate and
    sophisticated sub-text plot,

like the dark and light sides obfuscating
each other giving the pirates power, as the
clover ploy-s of Sith & Jedi are not revealed or
    explained, but are instead implied!

ok, that does not really work either[face_laugh]

MT, that sounds good to me!

Update: the preview of the next episode is on the Official Site, and features a clip of Aalya Secura speaking (for those fanboys wondering what she might sound like). I'm not sure who is voicing her.

Also, the next episode is written by Katie Lucas and directed by Rob Coleman.

REMINDERS...not only does BSG return tonight, but fanboy fav Aalya Secura and her animated cleavage also make their Clone Wars series debut. Can't wait to read the comments on the Clone Wars board after the show, should be quite entertaining ("aalya is so hawt", and so on). My goodness.

The opening, made me feel like a missed an episode (did I?)

    but

all in all, another pretty good episode,

with animation on both girl Jedi's, looking very good.

but am a little lost on the story line focus and
    momentum.

I liked this episode a lot. Good animation, as MT said, and lots of action (felt very much like old Star Wars). Aalya is a good character, although I'm not sure what to make of the new species yet (i.e., the Lurmen).

Next week looks pretty good too, with clone-era snowtroopers!

well, it was an ok episode, but I feel like they lost out on an opportunity,
to explore Jedi healing powers and the story line of the young being told
what to do by the old felt a little re-hashed, but the rest had a good
Star Wars feel to it, and gotta love those clankers[face_laugh]

I did not see last week's episode (Trespass) due to "technical difficulties" already addressed in another thread. I am wondering if MT (or anyone else) has a review to pass along to keep me going until I can watch it later this week?

    Instant review,

Anakin is injured, peace-nik community elders will not fight,
youngsters obey for a while, ridiculous battle finale,
    on to next episode.

also, it is just me, or has the re-cap thing at the beginning of each
episode had very little to do with the previous episode.

    or

will start to save on TIVO an episode to see it it matches the following weeks
re-cap.....right now, each re-cap makes me think that I have missed
    an episode somehow.

or, I am more creeky of the mind than I am aware of in my old ageI-)

Seems that the narration leads in from the web comic posted on the Official Site before each episode airs. At least in some cases, that was true for Trespass (with the Talz) and this week.

Nice episode this week, especially the storyline of a traitorous clone. That would have made a nice two or three part series, or even a good novel in the hands of a good author. Lots of room for backstory and exposition.

Latest episode ok, but kinda weak on the script,
understood the Jedi being pulled away, but thought it was poorly done.

understood the need to tell the tale of the traitor,
but that it was over done and kinda obvious,
    with out real motivation.

    but, the opening was GREAT,
and the clankers fun to watch.

Do not quite get the collecting of clanker parts as taboo tho.

Agree, that's why I think they should have spread it out over a couple episodes so that they could take more time to set it up and play it out.

They have introduced several plot points, characters, locales, etc. that would be well-suited to more detailed exploration in the comics or novels. I have enjoyed this series immensely so far, I think it has been entertaining and has added much to the GFFA.

Hasbro just needs to make more action figures for this series. They did a great job of flooding the market for the prequels, and even retro-covering the OS. Why aren't there about 50 Clone Wars action figures out there yet? The rumor list is impressive, but where's the Lurmen Village Playset?

    :p
