Syra, NY A new Tshirt design

It was discussed at this past meeting that we need a new T-shirt design. This is an open invite for everyone to design something to be voted on at the next meeting in Aug.

So lets all be brave and jump into Photoshop and get something going

You can even link your images in this thread for everyone to preview

I know the blast is suppose to be from Syracuse, but you -know- people will think (and tell you) the Death Star is firing on us. Interesting thought though. It's times like these when I wish I had photoshop on my computer *sigh*.

New stuff: Explosions (duh) and "Syracuse, NY" at the origin of the blast.

 

ok, nice graphic! However, (you knew that was coming), Our goal is to design a new original logo.
So lets try to think of something perhaps Syracuse related or a symbol of some sort.

I dont want any nasty emails about copyrights .....LOL

 

Okay, I didn't think so as Syracuse isn't really featured much, but I thought it was worth tossing out. Maybe a side thing on the SCJ website- various Syracuse Star Wars designs (Salt Wars?) and such can go in a different page, with the contributors and such.

 

OK, I just had an interesting visualization. Now first, you have to realize that I am not suggesting this as our logo. However, because I thought it was funny and we all like to laugh I thought I would share it anyways. You have to visualize it with your minds, because I don't do graphics.

1) Picture a salt shaker.
2) Picture a salt shaker shaped like a jedi.
3) Tip the jedi over and picture salt falling out of his head.
4) Picture the salt forming a city (silhouette) with the words Syracuse, NY (or Syaracuse, NY) at the bottom.

Hopefully you will all find this as amusing as I did (sorry if you don't). As an aside, using a bit of input from Arjuna, you could also picture a Jedi using a salt shaker as a lightsaber.

Nah that's an Age of Empires design Any other ideas? The lightsaber saltshaker is interesting.

 

I'm still working on mine. It's taking a bit.

 

Well I came up with two ideas. The first was my origional thought, the whole of 'Salt City Jedi' being like that. The second was a joke that looked pretty funny.

I'm still working on my drawing for the shirt. Doing the pencil/paper thing can take a while (especially cause I'm out of practice). Might be a while...

hey i think i have a idea, but i'm not going to be abule to get it on any web. pag any time soon because im working an a reqest from a teacher to draw a logo thats she is going to engrave on stone and give it to her kids for X-mas. (sorry i had to tell every one because im really exited i got asked to do that!!!)

Speaking of being recognized, I think its pretty cool that both of my kids (you know who you are) have been in our local paper in the past month related to things going on at school. If they wish to expound on that, I'll let that be their priviledge.

Ok, how many times can we beat a dead horse? Well for me....a lot! Im working on a shirt lay out and I think we need to get our act together as a chapter. Now feel free to shun me if im wrong but I seem to get the feeling as if we are falling apart. !!!!More Interations Required!!
