Post your ideas for upcoming activities here! :)

    -Mia

I'm going to keep a master list of activity ideas up here at the top, and will add ideas as you guys post about them. :) Then we can pull from these ideas for each month.

    Master List:
    • writing games

    • debate - we could make this official with a debate overseer and teams? and debate about Star Warsy stuff, or debate in character, because we're dorks like that

    • Star Wars cook off

    • Star Wars craft night

    • Star Wars party (themed, with decorations or something?)

    • Jedi Photoshoot (we all dress up in the Jedi or SW costume of choice and take pictures? I'm sure between us all we could come up with cool costumes)

    • fan film collab?

    • drinking games for the prequels

    • Star Wars trivia night - if we got little buzzers or something and kept score, we could do it like Jeopardy or a game show

    • Fanforce talent show

    • charity - clothing drive, food drive, singing carols during holidays, etc.

    • scavenger/treasure hunt

    • hiking/nature walk

    • sledding

    • joint activity with Salt Lake

    • costumes

    • Star Wars Lego Trivia/DVD Pursuit

    A Fanforce b-day party:

We do a white elephant swap sometime in July since two of us have birthdays then. It'll also be a bringyourowndessert potluck.

    That's my idea.

Hey, that sounds like a pretty fun idea. Birthdays or not, white elephant is fun. :D

Adding it to the master list. :)

So we can make it explode just like in the movies, but this explosion might be prettier cause it will explode with candy?

Bet the Rebel pilots weren't expecting that...

For thanksgiving, my family has this tradition of making ginger snap turkeys with ginger snaps, chocolate icing, hershey's kisses, candy corn and redhots. They're really cute and fun to make.

I noticed that bowling was on the list. Just think of bowling in costumes (for those that have them). That would be cool seeing a jedi bowl.

a fanfilm night would also be cool. Just gather a few and make it a party. (all the ideas I come up with are already on the list)

Or how about we make our own little star wars film? We could just get together one saturday and spend a few hours to make a short movie. I know there are plenty of writers around here that could come up with a little story (or we could just do it all completely randomly, on the spot)

That would be awesome! The question is, do we have access to a camera and editing equipment? I know I plan to get a laptop later this year (okay, so I've been trying to for months, but it really will happen) that will have enough hardware to quickly edit movies, but... yeah, does any of us have a DV camera?

Did someone ask for film editing stuff? I've got the following programs on my laptop:

    Nero
    Adobe After Effects 6.5
    Adobe Audition 1.5
    Adobe Encore DVD 1.5
    Adobe Premiere 1.5

    And some other programs.

I have a few ways of getting hold of a camera. And I also know a bit about editing with Final Cut Pro (Im going into the film program). And I have access to computers with this program as well as Avid (another really good editing program for those that arent familiar with film editing stuff) As for editing quickly, someone else would have to do that, it is not possible for me to edit something quickly (well, it is possible I can do stuff pretty fast if needed) but I usually take my time to make sure it looks good (if I had about a week or two to edit I can do work that is pretty good.)

Araxie says we could have a fan force at her house and play the Lego Star Wars Trivia game on her game cube.

    It could be fun! :)

OR play the star Wars DVD trivial Pursuit. It would make my son very, very, very happy.

    Either one could be fun.

We've also got a limited amount of time left with the SW Party book.

Perhaps a costumed get-together to plan out an SW-themed Halloween party?

Hm. Or costumes on Halloween? We did a good Halloween get together last year but it wasn't costumed.

Speak for yourself. I was costumed. :p I liked last year's. We read scary stories and then randomly watched a movie.

So...was the movie not an original part of the plan, or was it a random movie that was watched? ;)

The movie was a last minute addition because that morning, I'd gotten an advance copy of Return of Pink 5, Volume 2 and permission to show it to anyone who could keep their mouth shut at the Fanforce activity that night. So, in that sense, it was random.
