Yes, Artoo has a lotta reasons to bleep around 3PO How he keeps urging everyone to hurry up and how his techie savvy comes in so handy

 

If Artoo is so tech savvy why is he always plugging his computer terminal probe into electrical sockets?! Good thing he is not a biological sentient...I couldn't imagine where he would be sticking his various protruding parts of his body then.

Like Jedi_Lover, I can't help but wonder why Artoo keeps sticking his probe into electrical sockets. And it's just too funny to see Artoo trying to find a word to refer to humans, Chewbacca and 3PO together. Don't think "sentients" quite worked with them, though.

 

Especially with 3PO in the mix but when he does plug himself in the right socket he's super duper -- he can always say Threepio is pestering him that's why he keeps plugging in the wrong place.

"I'd like to see you tap into the computer database." I can just hear R2 saying. :grin:

 

For some reason that made Artoo sound like a "Player". I can see him hanging around the oil bath in the Rogue hanger and talking to other astromechs. "See that computer terminal over there?" Artoo twittered. "Yeah, I tapped that. She gave me her ID code number, but I never called her back."

 

I can't stop laughing at that visual...

 

Oh, Artoo. How do I love thee? And Hazel's interpretation of him?

My favorite bit:

Artoo's comment about he hopes it doesn't take too long to rescue Han reminds me of a line in the Star Wars Family Guy Special where Brian (playing Chewie) says, "Okay even though we know exactly where the bounty hunter is taking Han...let's wait three years to save him,"

R2, Master Anaki might want you to zap Solo for him for - oh, Anakin did freeze Han in carbonite so R2 might not see teh need to zap Han.

 

We were all astounded to hear about his face-off with Darth Vader, but I could tell he did not complete the account. Maybe later, he will confide in me properly, as he has many times before. It troubles me to see Master Luke so upset.

I like that Luke didn't complete the story. I wonder if Artoo's made the connection between Anakin and Vader yet?

but first, Master Luke needs to recover and get a new appendage attached. It is not a big deal, I have had to undergo such procedures 187 times already, most of them because of Anakin-Senior.

Love that Artoo is keeping count!

I must keep close watch on her, I know Mistress Padmé would want me to.

How frustrating must it be for Artoo to know that Luke and Leia are siblings and know who their parents are and not be able to tell them? And again, I go back to wondering when Artoo makes the Anakin–Vader connection.

Next week we start the Return of the Jedi.

jcgoble3 - I think Artoo has been in on it from the beginning, like Obi-Wan and Yoda. That is one of my assumptions for this diary.

Like jcgoble, I wonder whether Artoo has made the connection between Anakin and Vader yet. If he has, then he's probably also guessed why Luke is so upset and wants to give Luke a hug (once Luke gets that new appendage attached)!

 

I think he has (see post above) and I think he does have a pretty good idea of why Luke is so upset.
