Yeah, I managed to take some damage from the saber fight against Moe... got a nice welt on my leg and of course the tiny little cut on my right hand... amazing how much those things can bleed. I get through the fight, walk back to the light and happen to notice a lot of red stuff on my hand, shorts and dripping to the ground... Oh well, no trips to the emergency room so all is good

That was one sweet lookin' bloody hand when we all first saw it! I was amazed at how much it bled! But I'm glad you're ok.

    It was rather cool :)

So long as it doesn't start a trend...you know...we'll have people saying: If there's not an Imperial wounded and bleeding, it wasn't a good Rebel Legion meeting ;)

They treated it before I could get there (Blasted JKM ;) )

"CLEAR THE AIRWAY !!!!! Make sure she can breathe well." "It's just a hand cut Void." "I don't care, I was taught a procedure and people die if you don't follow the procedure."

    :D

Sorry dear... no need to loosen restrictive clothing this time. It didn't exactly take much work to take care of it, wash off the blood, figure out where it was bleeding from, apply pressure and bandage. I was quite capable of taking care of it myself.

Never doubt the word of the medic-on-scene

    "Trust me, I'm a professional"

    EDIT

    I like MJA's idea...

List of Imperials at RL meeting...

    Mobius
    Deicide
    TD0690
MJA (Currently exempt from this entertainment)
    Idiots Array
    Mick (already had her turn)
    Greedo

    Who else ? And Who's next ?

I may have an Imperial side, but as evidenced by my license plates my first loyalty is to New Republic Intel/SpecForces.

Yeah, trained in the arts of precaution and pansy-ness!

We Imperial/Darkside types are all about taking risks.

You can check out some of our Saber rattling on our website and someone always gets hurt. What kinds of blades are you guys using? We are using the acrylic ones and they hurt, so we're trying to convince our swordsman to clam it down until we can get some protective gear. As soon as Obi_Wannabe gets his computer problems under control, we'll have a little video from our first encounter up on the website too.

"Help us Obi_Wannabe, you're our only hope!"

Well, a couple of us have Park Sabers, and I built a pair of my own, with Lightech EL blades (virtually identical to Parks). For practice, I also have anodized aluminum tubing in appropriate colors, soas not to risk damaging the expensive stuff.

The acrylic is pretty cheap at $10-12 for enough for two sabers, and it holds up to combat really well. And it looks really cool in the daylight, which the Park stuff & the EL does not.

True, the EL stuff is excellent at night. though, and it does hold up very well. The acryllic would prolly look a bit better than my anodized aluminum, but that's what I had at hand, so, like a true propmaster, that's what I used. :)

I'm going to be showing several of our inexperienced members how to make live action RPG weapons out of PVC and foam so they can learn the basics...how to hit properly (and in a controlled manner), how to take the hit and not be afraid of it, and let them find out what works and what doesn't...then the injuries when we go to the EL/Acrylic will be alot less.

Something else that I discovered the other night, a danger of the brighter EL blades. I kept getting night blinded everytime the blade passed in front of my face. They make look great at night from an observer, but I kept losing sight of Mobius's blade....bad idea.
