I enjoy dancing and don't mind asking a group of young women to dance....I may be 39 and I'll be 40 at C4 but fun and friends have no boundaries for me.....

wAS AT c3. Had a blast, was sad when it was over. Can't miss C4.

 

Well, I always enjoy meeting new people and hopefully having some fun (though nothing too serious). So I look forward to getting to do some mingling while we're there. Any recommendations for good watering holes in the area?

cool glad to see so many people posting already in this thread maybe we can do another big party like we did at c3. Well it was not so big but was fun nonetheless.

 

The Hotel Figueroa has a bar, as does the Holiday Inn. Both are the closest places to the convention center.

All the downtown hotels have bars and lounges. And then there are "hang-outs" like The Golden Gopher, at 8th and Hill. Great place .

 

I hear ya on that one. If it wern't for Tofu I would be alone in my high quality geekiness. LOL. I did go to CIII and can't wait for CIV.

 

lol yeah! at least we have eachother, and I think we've figured out that there's about one hardcore psycho star wars fan per 15,000 people

(judging from the fact that we're the only two in our town of 30,000...)

 

True that. It was amazing at CIII to have more people in a building then in our town.

 

wow!!! i always forget how small some towns can be specially in Alaska.

 

There was 10 times the people at C3 than in my town:S

 

I should really socialise here a bit more...

Anyway, is anyone organising a singles C4 party? Should be a good meetup!

Looks like the Fig has a great bar. It's about a block away from the convention center and well, what do you know? My room happens to be there. So I think that's where I'm going to park my butt at night. I'm partially joking. I don't plan on getting "THAT" drunk. I just want to have a good time and be able to get up early the next morning.

 

Hey I hope all of you find awesome matches (coming from the former JC Matchmaker) in LA!! Looks like some great folks are up for grabs, judging from ya'all's postings here. I'd love to meet with you all and hang out, even if I'm not one of the single ones at the time. If that's allowed.
