Hey everyone, I found this on Rebelscum this morning. It's a C4 survival guide that lists everything that has been announced so far from events to exclusives! It looks to be pretty handy!

Hello I don't get over here enough but I was just saying hi and hope to see some of you at CIV.

Baron_Soontir_Fel I am also going to the Evening with Carrie Fisher on Saturday Night.

I am staying at the Figueroa Hotel not too far from the con.

Maybe we can all meet up during the con. :)

I can't believe that it's been a week removed from C4 already. How time flies! This was the second Celebration I went to and it was my most enjoyable. It was a nice leisurely pace and never really had to rush much, except for one instance. So without further ado, here are my Props and Slops for C4!

    PROPS:

    * No crowding issues. If anyone went to C3, you know what I'm talking about. It seemed that at C3, you had a really hard time neogiating the mass of bodies in the hallways, the rooms, everywhere. No such problem here. The LA convention center was HUGE, spread basically over two buildings (at least it seemed like two buildings).

    * No lines at the Celebration store. We went Thursday evening and had no line whatsoever. We strolled around the room, picked up what we want, paid for it and left. A vast improvement over the C3 debacle!

    * This should have been number one, but I'm not ranking in any particular order. Official Pix volunteer!! I had a BLAST volunteering for OPX, and will definately do it again! Three out of my four shifts we as a guest escort. First shift was with Bonnie Piesse (young Beru for those that don't know). She was very lovely and patiently answered my questions. I was nervous at first mostly I'm not good at starting conversations, but we warmed up soon and had a great time. I found out that she is now living in LA and lives just 10 minutes away from the convention center, so it was a short trip for her! She is also releasing a CD early next year, and is going to focus on her music career for the time being. She's into singing folk/pop, so that's cool. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

My second guest was Michonne Bourrigue (I think that's the right spelling!) It took about an hour to strike up a converstion with her, mostly because she had some family issues going on at the time plus she had her friends and husband with her as well. But after a bit we struck up a conversation and I think I won her and her friends over because I knew the background of her character so well. After that, one of her friends was flipping through the Dark Horse art book, asking me who the characters were. Needless to say I I was finally able to put my geeky Star Wars knowledge to good use! Funniest moment: Amy Allen at the table looked at a comic pic of her character Aayla Secura and pointing at the oversized comic boobs quiping 'Are those really necessary??' LOL :p We all informed her that all comic heroines nowadays have oversized chests :D. Another note, Michonne and Amy are very proud of their characters and enjoy seeing comics, pics, whatever of them. Amy thought the Felucia battlepack was the greatest thing! Michonne also hopes that she'll be able to reprive Aurra Sing for the live action TV show that's due out in 2008/2009/2010... It's nice to see that these people 'get it', and enjoy their place in the SW universe!

Third guest was probably the most enjoyable of all. I sat with Dermot Crowley (General Madine) and we had a blast and great conversations that covered everything from our home countries, politics, weather, and how much he hated Dasani water! For those of you that don't know, it's banned in England because of the additives that are in it. Just ask jediscar how great this guy was. If you ever get the chance to go to a Celebration I cannot highly recommend enough how much you need to volunteer for OPX. The swag is definately worth it, and you get to meet all these great people!

    * Meeting Carrie Fisher. Sure it was brief, but hey, I can say I met her and got her autograph. She even gave me one of her peanut M&M's! So, yeah, I geeked out :D lol She was very nice and polite. I just wish I could have gotten a pic with her! :( Oh well, it's still a memory that I'll treasure :)

    * Clone Wars! We were in the first showing of this and let me tell you, getting to see that trailer on a big screen and with that sound system, well it blew me away! I cannot wait for the show to start! Nine eps are in the can already. The animation looks

Nice post man. As a Sr. Volunteer for GenCon, It's good to get that kind of honest feedback. I'll definitely be passing some of those thoughts (anonymously of course;) ) along.

I agree with you on the prices. Coming from MA, sales taxes are not that big of a surprise, but when I realized that CA's tax was something like 8.25%? [face_hypnotized] Thankfully I did find at least one dealer at the show who, ahem, forgot to charge me sales tax. ;)

I also had the good luck to bump into Rotag Thursday in the Hasbro line. Nice to see he was sporting the always fashionable 'Boston Rebels' T-Shirt.:D

I'm guessing this is the place for this post...I finally got around to cleaning out my CIV backpack and found the card that T.K. Travis gave me after we chatted for a while when he was visiting our booth. I am part of the Sacramento Valley Rogue Force, and I just wanted to say how nice it was to chat with him! I don't think I've ever been around so many nice people all gathered in one place. I know our group is ready to start saving for CV. Maybe you will all be lucky and it'll be in your neck of the woods next time. Hope you enjoyed California, and I hope everyone treated you well.:)

Hey Wormie, I was next to TK in line :D. Anyway, one other slop I forgot to put down, and I'm sure that there is nothing that can be done about it, but again I wasn't able to get to see everything that I wanted to see. Like I said, I'm sure that nothing can be done about it, because I understand the need to have many different shows, panels, etc to cover the wide range of interests of SW fans. It just sucks that I have so many SW interests! lol Afterall, volunteering for OPX took up a bit of time, but that was my choice. So looking back at what I just typed, I really shouldn't have all that much of a gripe after all! lol

Hope to see you guys at Supermegafest!!

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BlAH, BLAH ....

Listen to you people going on and on... lol !!! :) You sound like a bunch of crazed Star Wars Fans.

Well, first off... Sorry for the delay in making a post after C4. What a busy time it's been for me. WOW !! Right back to 10 day straight at work. I've had two 501st. events. The Bunkerhill Day Parade is coming up. Busy, busy, busy.

SO I'm glad to see that most every one enjoy them self at C4. That's AWESOME!! I myself had a good time as well. All though it was not the best Celebration to date for me. It was in my TOP 4 ! lol :)

    Here are a few of my Pro's and Con's .... Hang on Boy's & Girl's

    PRO'S ....

    -MEETING EVERYONE!!
It was so COOL to see everyone again! To see people I meet at the Rose Bowl Parade. To finally meet people I've been talking to on line for years. To see old friends I've seen at past Celebrations. And making a whole new set of friends. You guy's/girls ALL mean the WORLD to me. ALL of you are the main reason I do this stuff. I love meeting everyone. It is ALL WAYS the highlight of my trips. So THANK YOU !! to everyone I saw and meet at this Celebration. I hope to hear and see everyone again in the future and at the next Celebration.

A special thanks goes out to John, Steve and James for making this a fun Celebration.

    -Volunteering for Official Pic's.
It is still the best thing you can ever do at a show. I promise this right now "I WILL NEVER NOT BE VOLUNTEERING FOR OFFICIAL PIC'S" lol!! Anne is the BEST !! It is still one of the funniest things to do there. The people are awesome. All the stars are great!! Plus the pass alone is to die for. You have to wait in NO lines EVER!! You get back stage, the whole nine yards. So my hat's off to everyone at Official Pic's for a great show once again.

    -NO LINES
Even with out the O.P. Pass the lines were great this time around. I think because the convention center was SOOOOoooooo.... large and they had it spread out over the whole thing. It made the lines every where look small.

    -GREAT SHOWS
As all way!! Star Wars in 30 min. AWESOME !! Thing thing EVERY!! One man Star Wars Show. GREAT!! Clone Wars preview. I can't even think of the right words to say. All the panels, you name it. Nice work on all of it.

    -THE SET UP
I think they did a great job on the set up of the show. I like how it was spread out over the whole building. I also like how you could stay in side and make your way around the whole place. They had just enough room for everything.

    -MRS. FISHER
What more can I say.... I WORKED WITH CARRIE FISHER !!! That's right I was picked Saturday morning for a special job. That's what I was told at the time. Not knowing where I was going. Next thing I knew... I was standing next to Mrs. Fisher. Good Morning Mrs. Fisher this is Thomas Travis. ( Said call me TK ) lol ;)He will be help us out this morning. I than began 4/5 hours of being Mrs. Fisher personal guard. lol. Well I actually keep people and reporters away. Blocked off the back and side walk ways. No know grunt work. But .... I did work with Mrs. Fisher and got the hand shake & the thank you from her for the great help I had been. :) right before they took her a way for a talk. It was very cool.

    -The HOTEL and BUSES
Our hotel was very nice. We stay at the Wilshire Grand. I will say the $20 extra dollars a night was will worth the food alone. lol :) They had a very nice pool and hot tub. Which we did check out one night. (Needed the hot Tub) lol Even though we stayed only 2 1/2 blocks from the convention center. To walk it seemed like it took a week. So, thanks for the Buses. That was very cool of them to do. I really do not know about the free buses till we got there so that was very nice. It make it a lot easier to get around and get your stuff back to the hotels.

I'm sure there is a lot more things I liked but .... now to the CON'S. :)

    CON'S.....

    -FIRST OFF
Way to far away!! I do personally that the show attendants was down. I believe it was do to where it was. I was been to all 4 Celebration now and it just felt

    It's a Hit: A Record-Breaking Celebration IV
    June 14, 2007

Star Wars Celebration IV drew Star Wars fans from all over the world to celebrate 30 years of the saga over the Memorial Day Weekend in Los Angeles. In the midst of all the fun, the event broke attendance records from the past Celebrations, even the vastly-popular Star Wars Celebration III in Indianapolis in 2005.
More than 35,000 individuals attended the Celebration between May 23 and 28 in the Los Angeles Convention Center, enjoying days and nights of fun with events and shows as diverse as a 6-movie marathon Saga screening, Carrie Fisher's one-woman "conversation" with fans, Seth Green's "Star Wars: Robot Chicken" panels, and the mad dash of the Kessel Run trivia puzzle competition.

Celebration IV was a vast experience for fans, spreading out over the entire Convention Center, and occupying six live stages, expansive exhibit halls, two archived exhibits, three laser tag arenas, a 24-hour store, and more.

Fans were a huge part of the success of Celebration IV, contributing to programming and events especially in the Fan Fair Hall and on the Star Wars Fan Stage. Star Wars collectors raised nearly $170,000 in four silent auctions and one live auction of vintage toy merchandise from the Lucas Licensing archives. The profits from the auction will be donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

"The success of Celebration IV is testament not only to the enthusiasm and creativity of fans and the hard work by folks at Lucasfilm and Gen Con, but also proof of the strength of Star Wars," says Steve Sansweet, head of fan relations at Lucasfilm, and co-producer of Celebration IV. "The reaction to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars panel and trailer, the popularity of the LucasArts booth and The Force Unleashed panels, and the obvious increase in attendance among young fans and families, speaks to the rock-solid future of Star Wars."

The rock-solid future, and the exciting present -- the worldwide community of fans is set for another great festival in London, when Celebration Europe opens its doors on July 13 for three days of Star Wars entertainment, exhibits, and events at the ExCeL Center.

I gotta say, one other complaint I had about C4 was the lack of quality stuff in the store. I have to admit most of it seemed like cheap junk I would find in an overpriced gift shop (oh, wait...:p) I would think for the 30th Anniversary of SW they would have had a better selection of shirts, not to mention the stuff that was cool WAS OUT OF STOCK THE FIRST DAY! grrrrrr! Oh well... had a good time anyway inspite of that...

    You are so right !

Cheap was not the word for some of that stuff. It was like going to a gift shop out at Hampton Beach. Come on people, you know we are there to spend money. Let put out some nice high end items. Anything... At C2 and 3 they had nicer things. Like the bobble heads and mini bust. The topper sets. Way nicer bags and backpack. They only had one nice back pack this time and it was like $60 or something. Just sad. :(

    SeeYa,
    TK

Oh ya, what was with that phannie pack thing? It had to be the worst item at the show. lol My Gosh was it ugly! lol :)

No, hands-down the WORST item in the C4 Store was the Chewie Jacket with Fake Fur Hood. Who the heck thought selling something like this in May...in L.A. was a good idea?
