Chicago Cubs

That's earning points for Arizona for sure. Also I love Gracie. One of my all time favorite ballplayers.

 

Mark Grace was always my favorite player. I was glad to see him get a ring with the D-Backs. I really wish I could have gone to game when he was still with the Cubbies. Hopefully I'll get to Wrigley this year since I'm back in Illinois. Hope they can do something this year.

 

He was the anti-steroid era ball player. It kills me the Cubs abandoned him because he didn't get along with Sosa

But yeah from my experience Arizona is a Cubs state. Mainly because so many people who live there are Illinois immigrants. It's a Dodgers/Cubs state pretty much. The D-Backs have a huge following but the fact is Arizona got Dodger and Cubs games on TV longer than they did with the D-Backs.

That 2001 D-Back team is a huge source of pride though. I don't blame them either. The media canonized the Yankees and the Dbacks came back and won big

To suggest that the Cubs are a racist organization is a new low for this piece of crap. I'm sure Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, and Andre Dawson have something to say about this...

 

I couldn't agree more. He's a piece of crap and this is just more reason for me to intensely dislike him. What a tool.

Approiate choice for the Ricketts to make during their first year. Billy Williams is often forgotten during those great teams he had with Santo and NBanks, but he is a Hall of Famer in every sense of the word. I wish they'd also retire #8 for Andre Dawson though.

 

Wow. what a wonderful way to start the season. good thing it was only the first and that there's 161 more to go.

It is still threatening to snow here. I'm so not ready for baseball.
