Really, at some points over here in the states it got super loved by some parts of the public to the point if you didnt love the film you were just thought of as a person who only wanted to go against the crowd

That's not something especially new. And I'd have thought somebody on a Star Wars board would appreciate how some things become culturally ingrained to the point of obnoxiousness if something really takes off. And to be honest, I can't really say that ever happened with Avatar. It was lampooned a little to start with, but it's gone largely forgotten since.

 

well yeah its mostly forgotten now it just shows that although love for a film is huge early and thought it will be a classic, true classics do stand the test of time but thats what you really have to wait for
