I too have the Rock Bottom MR Ani Saber...

It is an excellent buy for $24.99 plus S&H. Mine works fine, lights up and makes noise. However I knew it was a real crapshoot at the "less than new" price. TI, when you say take it apart, what exactly do you mean? I do not believe the blade comes off...

    Also...

Does anyone out there have doubles in: Mcquarrie Trooper, Wat Tambor, Bail Organa, Lama Su & Clone, Ephont Mon, or Luke Throne Rm. Duel?

    Hey Wedge,

I mean disassembling the hilt to get to the electronics. I know the blade isn't removable (that's one advantage to the Parks).

I've contacted several other people who purchased from Rock Bottom, and some have taken theirs apart, but a couple said they screwed them up further by doing so.

I'm not sure I'll be taking the risk.. I should probably just buy another one to see what I get. :)

TI, "I mean disassembling the hilt to get to the electronics. I know the blade isn't removable (that's one advantage to the Parks)."

I'm not going to risk it either, especially since mine works.

Charlie, The holiday Yoda is available at Official Fan Club/Paizo Site for $12.95 plus S&H. It is exclusive and is not supposed to be sold in stores.

Oh yeah Wedge, gloat over the fact that you got a working sabre while 90% of us got one with lights only! :)

TRU has the "special" action figures....

    General Reikeen (sp) w/Control Panel
    Bloody Wampa
    C-3PO w/Escape Pod

They had multiples of each still on the shelf.

I haven't taken my lightsaber apart yet because both light and sound work. Seeing as this is my first (and probably only) lightsaber I might be having for a while, I think I'll get another one to toy around with.

I know of a person who has indeed made his blade removable, so it is still a rational idea.

Oh and for those who are interested, Jedi Remotes are 66% off on Ebay. They used to be around $300, but now they average about $100. I got mine yesterday and wow. That's all I have to say.

Andrew: Great news! I hope all continues to go well.

I just saw some of the retro-packaging for some of the original trilogy stuff for 2004. All I can say, is that my Victorian Home desires may have to be postponed in favor of all this neat stuff!

    Peace,

Yeah, that really caught my eye...seeing those packages that looked like the 1977 versions!

Also...Kay Bee Outlet in Lawndale is going out of business...right now they have some (limited) SW stuff that is 30% off of the sale price:

    Lightsaber/Figure combo packs
    Figure 4 packs
    Threepio/B. Droid Deluxe fig.

    not bad...

    Scott,

I'm glad I'm not the only one looking forward to a little "Retro".

By the way, were you in Target Saturday? I've only seen you twice, but I thought I saw someone that looked like you.

    Peace,

    Ambassador Edric

PS: Is everything going out of business in the Mall? I do think the Strip Mall (insert snicker here) is coming back.

Not unless you are actually talking about Friday...If so, I did not see you though...no really those were NOT Star Trek DVDs in my hand...erm, no way!

Actually, on that trip I saw the Clone Wars action figures & was kind of bummed that they are 6.99 instead of 5.99.

I hope the above link works. Anyway, www.gamingreport.com has posted picks of the new Wizards of the Coast Star Wars miniatures game. I thought you all, and some stormtrooper in particular, would like to know.
