Hey guys! Sorry I've been away from the boards for so long. I was insanely busy once I got home, and all my traveling wore me out to the point where I caught a really nasty virus that I've been battling for over 2 weeks now. I figure since I'm still going to be home for a while yet, I can at least keep you guys updated so you know that I'm alive.

Let me give you some highlights of what I've been up to since mid-May (Star Wars having to do with much of it, obviously!):

May 13th-15th: I drove with my sister to Detroit to attend Motor City Comic Con. We had so much fun! My boyfriend and a couple of other friends were there as guests. My sister worked as Mary Oyaya's personal assistant. I honestly don't know where my time went, I didn't get to walk around even half of the dealer area. Some notable celebrities I met and spent time with: Robert Beltran (Chakotay from Star Trek Voyager), Jeffrey Combs (Weyoun from Deep Space Nine, Shran from Enterprise, many films, and last night's episode of the 4400!), Patrick Kilpatrick (this guy has been in everything, including the season finale of 24), Tom Braidwood (Frohicke, the shortest Lone Gunmen from the X-Files), Alexis Cruz (Stargate), and Lou Ferrigno (Incredible Hulk). I probably spent most of my time ogling Patrick Kilpatrick and Robert Beltran. ;)

May 17th-20th: I drove down to Columbus to spend time with my boyfriend (1 year on the 17th, yay!) and to enjoy the premiere of Episode III. He was doing an appearance at a movie theater near him so I sat at his table for a while before the show. We had nice reserved seats! My sister, one of her friends, and a few others joined our little viewing party. And of course, I was totally blown away by the movie. I loved it! That was definitely the most fun I've ever had at a premiere. And I swear, it wasn't because this theater served alcohol. ;)

May 20th-21st: I did a lot of work but had a lot of fun setting up for and then attending my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. My grandmother has 7 siblings and they're all still alive, so they traveled here for the party with their spouses. I hadn't seen most of them in nearly 15 years, so the last time they saw me, I was about 3 feet shorter. :) I was worried that I'd be bored but I ended up having an absolutely amazing time with my family. The party went perfectly. The weather was perfect, no family drama ensued, and the food was great. :D

May 20th: After driving home from Columbus at 6am and setting up at my grandparents' all day, I drove up to Cleveland that night to see the 10pm digital showing of Episode III with the Jedi Knights of Cleveland. Seeing this film digitally was absolutely amazing. I was blown away by the difference in the visual quality. I really wish I had a more local digital theater but I suppose I can count myself lucky I have one at least within reasonable driving distance (about an hour).

    May 22nd-30th: Me=very very sick. :(

May 26th: Most of you are aware I've been having chronic health issues since October. I was finally able to get into a specialist here at home. The appointment went really well. At the end of this week I'm having some serious tests done (blood work, endoscopy, and colonoscopy) and hopefully they'll find something to explain why my body doesn't seem to like food anymore. I probably won't be online much at the end of this week, but when I come back hopefully I'll have some good news. Because a healthy CR means a CR that has a whole lot more energy to devote to this group! :)

May 30th: Went to see Episode III for the third time with my family. Every time I've seen it again, I've noticed something I hadn't noticed before. Makes me want to see it over and over and over again...

May 31st-June 4th: I went down to Columbus to visit my boyfriend again. We saw Episode III yet again on an "ultra screen" at one of the local theaters. I also got to see some cool stuff that he's working on, which I of course can't talk about yet. ;)

So that's about where I am now. I'm working on cleaning

Sorry guys, I've been a bad CR. :( My health hasn't been so great since having those diagnostic procedures done. I caught some nasty virus to add to my various problems. Good news though. The results from all the testing were essentially negative for all the really bad stuff. I still have a disorder (incurable, but treatable), but not a disease. And I'm on two new medications that have been working great so far. This bodes well for my health over the next school year. The less time I spend sick, the more time I spend on school, friends, and FanForce! :)

I'm just dropping by to post this for now, but I hope by the end of the week I'll be caught up with this forum. I don't know what you guys have planned for the June meet if anything, but please, have fun! I won't be back until July 10th due to all the health stuff. I miss you guys! Hope everyone's doing ok.

    Hi Rosie :D

The next meet's probably going to be a cookout at Eric and Sarah's (kamsolusar2 and YodaChick) next month. You should be back in town in plenty of time for that. :)

Glad you're feeling somewhat better, anyway. :D

Sorry again for being out of touch. :( I have a free minute right now so I wanted to pop in and wish everyone a fun and safe holiday weekend. I'm going to a concert and fireworks display tonight, assuming it doesn't rain.

Healthwise I'm feeling pretty decent - my overall stamina has definitely improved now that my hyperactive digestive system has been slowed down. Yay for correct medication! :D

This coming week will be very busy since it's my last one at home for quite a while, so I don't know how much I'll be online. Then I'll be in Boston for a couple days before heading out to San Diego. :) But hopefully I'll see you all soon!

That's great to hear, Rosie. Am I correct in assuming there's a convention in San Diego that you're going to? :D

You're going to San Diego for Comic-Con Roseanna? There's a group of people in my office going to San Diego around the time of the Con and I'm hoping that I'll be able to slip in on that trip. Anyone else going to Comic-Con?

My finances prevent me from attending the big national conventions, so I have to make the most of the local ones. [face_plain]

I know how you feel. I'm in the same boat. The only way I'll be going is if I make it into this trip out there from my office. That way with my airline tickets and hotel taken care of, all I need to come up with is the $25 to get in :D.

Hey everyone - I just wanted to post and let you know I'm still alive. I have a busy weekend ahead of me but I should be back on the boards regularly starting next week. I'm very sorry for my long absence, it's been a crazy summer to say the least. :p I appreciate that many of you have been keeping in touch with me otherwise, it's always nice to know that people care. Talk to you all soon! :)
