    Demons roam the galaxy...
    [image=http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/5/58/Leviathan_bg.jpg]

    ...Destroying lives and causing mayhem wherever they go.

    Over the years since their release on the Outer Rim World of Demonsgate, they have made the Outer Rim almost unreachable, caused numerous disasters, possessed world leaders, and destroyed entire planets as they seek to summon the powerful Demon King Beelzebub using the Black Hole at the center of the galaxy. However, they must first open the Seven Demon Gate Worlds to bring forth the Key.

    For decades it seemed the demons were unstoppable, until a Jedi Wrangler and Sith Exorcist joined forces to create the DEATH (Demon Eradication and Abolishment back To Hell) Organization. The purpose of the DEATH Organization is to completely destroy the Demon threat and to teach other Force Users to do so. While the Jedi schools mainly teach students how to sense and tame demons and open gates and portals, the Sith schools teach students how to exorcise and directly combat demons.

    The conflict is new and the future uncertain, but one thing is certain, the species of the Galaxy are united to fight for their survival.

    Welcome to Demonsgate Days, an RP set in an alternate universe where Demons have risen from the world of Demonsgate and, under the leadership of the Demon Lord Dante, have captured the Outer Rim Worlds and have begun to make their push towards the center of the Galaxy, seeking to capture and open the Seven Demon Gate Worlds: Coruscant, Tython, Korriban, Naboo, Ruusan, Csilla, and Demonsgate. Of course, the Demons already have Demonsgate, while the DEATH Organization has laid claim and placed Academies on Csilla, Coruscant, and Korriban.

    [image=http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/8/8f/GreatLibraryOnOssus.JPG]

    Each academy has distinct characteristics that signify the type of learning and weapon usage each school specializes in. There are the Csilla Cold, who focuses on using heavy weapons and Portals, Coruscant Silver, who focus on taming demons and lightsabers, and the Korriban Black, exorcisms and light weapons. The DEATH Organization is run jointly by the Jedi Wrangler Cecil Lovelost and Sith Exorcist Gran and their Council-Senate, working alongside the Republic.

    Players may choose any character they want. While the game will mainly focus on the conflict between the DEATH Organization and the Demons, fringe elements and the Republic are open fields for players to design characters in as well. GM characters will be the heads of the opposing sides, but if you think you would like to give it a shot, PM me and let me know, and we can discuss it.

    ...sigh... I couldn't resist and Blu was all too happy to take advantage of my weakness.

    So here it is! Approved!

    Name: Cecil Lovelost
    Age: 45
    Species: Human (Korunnai parents)
    Force: Yes
    Academy and Affiliation(Sith/Jedi): Coruscant Silver
    Weapons: Two blue-bladed lightsabers. One belonged to his father.
    Appearance: [image=http://www.wearysloth.com/Gallery/ActorsE/25364-26726.gif]
    Bio: Cecil Lovelost has become something of a celebrity since assuming his father's former position at the top of DEATH, something not lost on him. He's not immune to the allures of the spotlight, and has something of a reputation as a womanizer. Still, he's the best, trained by the best, and knowing this causes him to push himself to take unnecessary risks. His success and leadership enable his associates to overlook his more flamboyant behavior from time to time, though he's often warned that pride leads to the dark side.

    Garden of Evening, Coruscant Orbit

    [image=http://www.oneinchpunch.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/paperblue_1.jpg]
    One of the largest orbiting skyhooks of Coruscant, Garden of Evening was owned and operated by Senator William Skywalker and the Skywalker Estate. He had requested Cecil's audience only a couple of hours ago and had taken care of the travel arrangements, making what would otherwise be a day long process happen in a couple of hours.

    [image=http://www.designflavr.com/images/gallery/424937576.jpg]
    From the sky, William's home made itself known from its sheer magnitude and overwhelming beauty. When Cecil landed, William was waiting for him, long white robe played out across several feet behind him. He raised one hand elegantly, beckoning Cecil to him. This would be the first time Cecil had been invited to the Senator's home, though they had been friends for many years even in the Academy. "Cecil. Welcome my brother. How have you been?"

    [image=http://images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Jude-Law--jude-law-79470_589_655.jpg]

    Despite William being eccentric and strange normally, Cecil could probably tell that something bothering William by the way he was biting his lip. He did not give Cecil long to wonder about what it could be. "Cecil, I have talked to Gran. He and his Top Exorcists are looking to bring forth the Demongate on Korriban and destroy it. I told him to wait, but he wouldn't listen to me. I am hoping you are able to talk sense to his brash ear. Not to mention, I wanted to hear your opinion on the nature of the Gates, as far as summoning them and even opening them is concerned." William held out a palm and large bird-like demon appeared and William quickly climbed onto it, beckoning Cecil to do the same.

    [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4xPXlneCGs&feature=related][i]Garden of Evening...[/i][/link]

    The Garden of Evening hung in Coruscant's sky like a teardrop.

    [image=http://img.search.com/thumb/6/60/Cloud_Nine.jpg/250px-Cloud_Nine.jpg]

    Cecil took a swig from his flask and turned away from the viewport as the shuttle approached, heading back to gather his satchel and prepare to dock and disembark. The shuttle was elegant - lavishly furnished but never garish, like most things William Skywalker enjoyed. Cecil didn't know whether the shuttle belonged to Skywalker or not - he didn't ask, either - but he suspected his old school friend had specially selected the pilot: she was gorgeous.

    The shuttle shuddered as it docked, and the pop and hiss of the airlock signalled that it was time to go. When it opened, Cecil's eyebrow lifted - far from the dark, cold airlocks he was used to, he was greeted with sunshine. Simulated sunshine, at least. The Garden of Evening was greener than Naboo and twice as pleasant. Though he'd never visited, it didn't take long to pinpoint where William lived.

    [image=http://www.designflavr.com/images/gallery/424937576.jpg]

    [i]Wow.[/i]

    "Cecil. Welcome my brother. How have you been?" The voice came from behind, and Cecil turned to see his old friend in a long white robe, leaning against a pillar. He noted that William's voice always sounded distracted - the words were sincere, but they were of little importance in the grand scheme. There was always something [i]more[/i] happening beneath the surface. His eyes were always focused on nothing, as if trying to recall an old friend's name. In the Force, William Skywalker felt like pure destiny.

    "I've been good, old friend," Cecil responded with a grin. "Destroying evil. Getting the girl. Same old."

    William registered amusement, but the mirth died quickly on his face. He stared off. "Cecil, I have talked to Gran. He and his Top Exorcists are looking to bring forth the Demongate on Korriban and destroy it. I told him to wait, but he wouldn't listen to me. I am hoping you are able to talk sense to his brash ear. Not to mention, I wanted to hear your opinion on the nature of the Gates, as far as summoning them and even opening them is concerned."

    Without waiting for a reply, Skywalker held out his palm and...Cecil quickly drew in his breath and gripped the hilt of his lightsaber. As if from nowhere a demon appeared, huge and bird like.

    [image=http://lh5.ggpht.com/-Y7X7CjENBk4/TRlrDssBSMI/AAAAAAAAAKw/EaYqlsGtX_8/Shadow-of-the-Colossus-5-Avion-Delta-Phoenix-10.jpg]

    The blue blade of Cecil's saber leapt to life, reflected in the beast's eyes. William, however, seemed unconcerned, and climbed upon the creature's back, beckoning for his friendto follow. Cecil hesitated - the stench of the dark side was suffocating - but he obliged. "Well, how about I tell you all about what I think over tea?"

    Name: Zygor Thanos
    Age: 67
    Species: Falleen
    Force: Yes
    Academy and Affiliation(Sith/Jedi): Korriban Black, Sith
    Weapons: Zygor uses a dull silver lightsaber pike which emits a dark violet blade, he also carries an assortment of small hold-out blasters
    Appearance: Dark green skin, jet black high-knot, his body is slender but covered in wiry muscle

    Bio: Zygor grew up on Falleen and like most others of his species was raised to believe they were genetically, culturally, religiously and technologically superior to nearly everyone else. His father was a powerful and intimidating naval officer and his mother worked in the local government. He was found to be Force-sensitive at an early age and was partially raised by the Falleen Force-mystics. The mystics based their teachings off Sith practices. When the time came for his tour of the galaxy his father pulled some strings and was able to command a small fleet to escort his son. Mid-cruise the small fleet skirted too close to the outer rim and found themselves embroiled in a demonic invasion. While the invasion was routed Zygor's father was killed, as was most of his escort. When Zygor returned home he didnt stay long, preferring to find vengeance on Korriban with the Academy.

    William looked, longingly, at Cecil drawing his blade. ?Don?t do such things, Cecil. You may frighten Mephisto.? William pets his demon, indicating that they were ready to go. With a powerful gust of Dark Side energy the demon took flight slowly. It was a new experience for Cecil. He had been close to demons before, but never this close without having his lightsaber swinging at them. With every breath that Mephisto took, Cecil would feel his skin tingling, burning, but not hurting from the beast?s dark energy.

    As they entered a large entrance to the massive monastery, obviously to fit Mephisto, there was a loud sound, like 1000 trees being blown away. Then silence. They landed and William began to prepare 3 cups of tea in front of a small pool. The monastery seemed like a resort and probably could be one if William felt inclined to turn it into one. The sound was made again and William turned to Cecil. ?Well? Mephisto asked you what type of tea do you enjoy, Cecil??

    What was currently happening was a result of one of William?s eccentricities. He had spent many hours, days, weeks, and years with his demon companions and had learned their speech and could understand them. Cecil, of course, could not.

    Korriban Black Academy

    Gran paced back and forth. He did this when he needed to think. Nanal, his well disciplined assistant had learned to deal with these episodes lately. Gran wanted to summon forth the demongate more and more as each day passed. She could feel his anger and the Dark Side in him rise and then level out. She only hoped that when the meeting that William was arranging between Cecil and Gran came that Cecil would be able to calm him. Cecil had those types of skills. To calm people even when they were more troubled.

    However, at the present, a promising disciple of Korriban Black was standing, silently, waiting for Gran to recognize him. Eventually, Nanal had to alert her master. ?Lord Gran, Zygor Thanos is waiting for you to give him his Rite of Exorcism mission.? Gran turned slowly to Zygor. The young falleen, as Nanal had told him, held a lot of promise. ?Zygor, my child.?

    Korriban, Korriban Black Academy

    Zygor stood in Lord Gran's study. His hands were clasped behind him, his deactivated light pike strapped there also. His skin went from dark green to dark red. Anger boiled in Zygor. He was a Falleen Prince. One of the Leaders of the Chosen. He did not wait on anyone, especially not in the same room with them.

    Yet here he stood, waiting for the old man to acknowledge his presence. Finally. the old man's aide spoke up, reminding Lord Grann he had company.

    "Zygor, my child. I want you to travel to Kel Dor. They are currently experiencing many demon possessions taking place and believe a demon, or a team of demons, to be among them. I want you to go there and investigate, exorcise the demons you find, but, and this is very important, I want you to bring back one, alive. Am I understood?? Lord Grann asked.

    Zygor dropped to one knee, fuming.
    my child indeed! I will show you the difference between myself and a child. Zygor thought.
    "Of course, Master." Zygor said from a bowed head. "I will go to Kel Dor and cleanse the world of its evil taint. Should I make arrangements to take the Academies shuttle or will I be using public transit?"
    Zygor stopped for a moment.

    Nanal looked down. She knew what was about to happen. Lord Gran stared at the Falleen Prince, eyes cold and calm. "Your feelings betray you as does your skin, Zygor. You are angry at me, yet do not draw your blade or seek to attack me. You are wise, but do not mistake your age for experience in the Force. There is a reason why I am the leader of the Sith and you are but a servant. We may be close in age, but we are leagues apart in the Force. So I recommend you keep your emotions controlled in my presence, young one."

    Gran continued to stare at the Falleen while Nanal gave Zygor a passkey. "That passkey will grant you access to starship Forbidden Rise, that will be your transportation to Kel Dor. It will be piloted by a group of lower level Academy students so that you may focus on your mission." Nanal's voice had attempted to cut the tension in the room. Lord Gran did not have any ill feelings burning off of him, but the Dark Side radiated, as it always did, throughout the room and the Academy itself like a dull hum of a battleship.

    Lord Gran then spoke up again before taking his seat on his throne. "As for the Jedi, you will ignore them unless they directly interfere with the investigation. And work with them if it becomes clear that their talents could be used to complete the mission faster. We no longer fight them. Am I clear, Zygor?"

    "As for the Jedi, you will ignore them unless they directly interfere with the investigation. And work with them if it becomes clear that their talents could be used to complete the mission faster. We no longer fight them. Am I clear, Zygor?"

    Zygor had risen to his feet as Lord Gran reprimanded him. As much as Zygor disliked the old man he was right. He was smarter than that. Control of his emotions and himself had been drilled into him since he was a boy, not because he was Force Sensitive but because he was a Prince of Falleen.

    He raised his fist to his chest.
    "As clear as viridian crystal, my lord." Zygor said evenly. He quickly brought his emotions under control and then made himself small in the Force.

    He tucked the passkey in his belt and turned away from Lord Gran, heading back to his personal quarters. He would return a Knight and then show the Dead Lords of Korriban an act truly Sith.

    That will be the day the Apprentice becomes the Master. Zygor smiled.

    Several minutes later Zygor had his bag packed. A few changes of clothes, recharger caps for his lightsaber pike, a survival kit and several small hold-out blasters with extra power packs. He stood before eight apprentices in the main hold of the Forbidden Rise.
    "I want this trip to be fast and easy. The only thing I want from you is to get to Kel Dor quickly. I will brook NO incompetence." Zygor commanded. "I will be in the captain's quarters. Bother me only when we have arrived at Kel Dor, or if someone dares to challenge us. Dismissed!"

    Cecil winced at the sounds. In any other situation, he would be admiring the beauty of his surroundings. Now, however, he was entirely wrapped up in the power of the demon. He grimaced.

    "Anything," he said absently. "Something caffeinated."

    He began to pace, never turning to his back on the beast. "Tell me more about what the Sith are grumbling about now."

    Location: High orbit above Kel'dor

    The apprentices aboard the Forbidden Rise had notified Zygor they were approaching Kel'dor orbit and he had gone to the bridge. He now stood, staring out the view port at the planet below. He quieted his mind, shed the worries of the apprentices, the busy-ness of the ship and reached out to the planet. He could feel the taint.

    Demons. Zygor's face slipped into a snarl and his skin gained a red coloration.

    "Prepare the assault shuttle." Zygor ordered as he left the bridge, enroute to the hangar bay.

    Completely unapproved, but posted to see what the Great One known only as Blu will do. (I lie. I submitted this to Blu as a condition for playing Origins. ;))

    Name: Garan Kya
    Age: Late thirties
    Species: Human (Descended from Null/Tapani genes)
    Force: Yes
    Academy and Affiliation(Sith/Jedi): Csilla Cold.
    Weapons: Single silver-bladed lightsaber, holdout blaster, cortosis gauntlet.
    Appearance: [image=http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Unidentified_light-haired_Imperial_Knight_(Agamar)]
    Bio: A Csilla Cold, Garan Kya is from a long line of Force users bearing the Kya surname, be they Sith, Jedi or otherwise. The sire of the line was the woman who became known as Lomi Plo, but the line has long left its dark heritage behind, finding its light in the Empire, its Force users now consolidated on Csilla. The arrival of the Demons caused a panic on Bastion, years ago, and Garan's parents were killed in the ensuing devastation. Now, twenty-odd years after the loss of his parents, Garan is ready to take up the mantle within the second generation of DEATH Force users.

    IC: Garan Kya
    Unknown Place, Unknown Time

    Clunk!

    Garan scowled as he thudded his forehead against the doorframe to his personal vessel, the unpleasantly antiquated Sigma-class shuttle. He had been lost in thought again, and had walked straight into it. With Null blood in his veins, reinforced by his family actually attempting to re-settle there, he was tall for a human, such a fact which was often lost upon even him. Wookiee's were not much taller than he. With a sigh, Garan rubbed his head, and took the co-pilot seat.

    [image=http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/e/e6/Ikship.jpg]

    He could have in-theory opened a portal to the cockpit, but he knew of others who had fallen into the trap of complacent use of mini-portals, stepping out the mortal realm into the demons one for but a split second. It was dangerous, but not without its perks. The greater the distance, the greater the time the time would need to be spent in a demonic realm. In the first few years of Portal discovery, there had been an account of a man jumping from one end of the galaxy to the other. But that man had been so completely and utterly mad by the end of it that nobody had considered repeating the feat.

    That man had been Garan Kya's grandfather, Loron, who had attempted to stop the demon scourge from within their lands in vengeance for the death of his son and daughter-in-law at Bastion. A foolish attempt, and one the remnant Imperial Knights had considered beyond sanity. Garan considered the politics of it all: the demons had emerged from Demonsgate and plagued the galaxy for years, not distinguishing between friend or foe. Even the Sith, hidden on Almania, had been struck, and their re-emergence had saved Coruscant from falling at a time when they could easily have taken it for themselves. And so Skywalker had founded DEATH, and now they were onto their second leader, and, thanks to the information obtained from prophecy and the deciphering of Loron Kya's mad rants, they had been able to catalogue the various creatures that faced them, and the key behind ending the scourge.

    Garan often mused upon events which had unified the galaxy once against an external threat, declaring a temporary Republic and suspending elections and power plays for the duration of the crisis. He didn't know whether it would last - it hadn't after the Yuuzhan Vong passed by, nor the One Sith, though the peace following that decade of violence had been relatively peaceful due to the existence of further Sith threats in the Great Unknown. But it always swung back the same way. Garan found himself wondering when he would be expected to turn against his fellow DEATH users, the Korriban Blacks, whom he had grown up and trained with. A whole generation had grown up in this new galaxy - it would be hard to turn back.

    And so, Garan settled in his chair, and tapped his waiting hyperdrive. He would be arriving shortly.

    Kel Dor

    The weather above Kel Dor, as always, was stormy and difficult to navigate. The demon presence on this planet could be sensed though, as the essnece seemed to finds its way through the drop ship and into Zygor's clothes. It was thick and he would notice the apprentices kept shaking their heads and reorienting themselves, as they felt uncomfortable, increasingly so as they neared the surface.

    Zygor's mission was to investigate a small mountain village known as Ut Toe. Villagers had been described as being haunted in their dreams that would become only nightmares, day after day. Children and the elderly seemed drained of their energy, while everyone else was relatively normal.

    The dropship sat down near the village, they could not fly closer to it because of the weather and the mountain. They would have to walk the rest of the way.

    Garden of Evening

    Even William began noticing his friend's nervousness in his pacing. Was it really because of the demon? He looked at Mephisto. While to some he would seem nothing but an incoherent beast, William had known him to be a vessel of knowledge and quite the philosopher and gardener. He brought a cup to Cecil and sat down in one of the deck chairs.

    "Gran wants to summon the Demongate on Korriban, Cecil. He's always been impatient, you know that, but it seems his impatience is leading to him trying to take action. That former classmate of yours, Nanal, is all that keeps him from going through with it without conversing with you about it..."

    William trailed off, gazing at the ocean and the horizon. He was daydreaming or thinking, Cecil never could tell the difference. Eventually, after a few seconds he continued. "I think it is an understandable idea, it could keep the Demons from summoning what they intend to summon, their great demon lord, but Gran is so focused on that, he won't consider what could happen should he fail to destroy the gate. There would be a gate, already summoned, just waiting for the Demons to come and conquer Korriban for it."

    He sipped his wine while looking at the horizon, he did love his alcohol. Mephisto's rock like eyes slid to Cecil, examining the Jedi Wrangler.

    Tattooine

    The demon infested world awaited Garan once he came out of hyperspace. Their mission was simple: Land on the planet, eradicate a zone of demons, and purify it with the help of the Sith Exorcist on board. Csilla Cold Command had told them that setting up this base would be crucial in the war against the demons, as they were looking to retake the Outer Rim World in the next few months.

    Snake, the Sith Exorcist, and Polk, Garan's fellow Csilla Cold, had emerged from their sleep and stepped into the cockpit. The Sith had been in deep darkside meditation, still reeking from it, but settled in the pilot's seat and put on a headset, aware and ready. "The strike team is emerging from hyperspace now. So that's what has become of Tatooine?"

    "Mother of Csilla..." Was all Polk could say, such awe and speechlessness was uncharacteristic of the large, muscular man.

    The planet before was red, lava erupting from the unstable core, while two large drills, visible from even space, dug into the world, spilling chunks of rock, smoke, and fire into the atmosphere. A sight to behold, indeed.

    William's face remained pleasant even as he obliterated any sense that there would be peace in DEATH at the end of this meeting. "Gran wants to summon the Demongate on Korriban, Cecil. He's always been impatient, you know that, but it seems his impatience is leading to him trying to take action. That former classmate of yours, Nanal, is all that keeps him from going through with it without conversing with you about it..."

    "Well good on Nanal, then," Cecil sighed. He could already see where this was going.

    "I think it is an understandable idea," William said. Cecil remained impassive, but felt his stomach lurch. "It could keep the Demons from summoning what they intend to summon, their great demon lord, but Gran is so focused on that, he won't consider what could happen should he fail to destroy the gate. There would be a gate, already summoned, just waiting for the Demons to come and conquer Korriban for it."

    "So," Cecil nodded, "you want me to have a talk with Gran? Is he on Korriban now?" Cecil shook his head, finally taking a seat. "William...need I remind you the problems that arise from fooling with other realms of the Force. Starts with 'A' and ends with a 'beloth.' I worry that we're unbalancing things. Don't you believe in..."

    Cecil hesitated. This was a touchy subject, and had been ever since Cecil's father was in charge of DEATH. Still... "Billy-boy, don't you believe in your Blood? In all it's done for this spinning disk we call a galaxy?"

    William turned to Cecil and smiled. The childhood nickname of Billy-Boy amused him and reminded him of much, much simpler times, but when Cecil brought up his lineage, Willam's expression grew, which it rarely ever did, serious. "I don't believe in the balance of the Force and, this may be hard for you to see, I don't believe these demons are have anything to do with the Force. Yes, the stench of the Dark Side..." There was something about how he said dark side that revealed a line of disgust as he thought back in his family history. "Is thick within their skin, I see this as merely a manifestation of where they come from. Mephisto called it 'Helle'."

    He then placed a hand on his chin. "Abeloth...you raise a good point, Cecil. Mephisto, have you ever heard of a being known as Abeloth?" The ferocious sound was heard again and William nodded at the demon. "Mephisto says he has heard of no being named Abeloth. This confirms what I've been thinking: These demons..." He trailed off again. This time the pause was a bit longer. "Why do you think Abeloth has anything to do with what we're facing now, Cecil?"

    Cecil snorted. "Are you going to look me in the eye and tell me you've never heard the word 'Hell' before, William?" The Jedi stood from his seat again, pacing. "Luke and Ben Skywalker traveled beyond the pale of death...beyond shadows...to the realm of minds and essences separated from bodies...of souls trapped by the dark side. Their holocrons are full of discussions of the Fountain of Power, the Pool of Knowledge...places tinged with the dark side. Hell, Abeloth's entire world was plunged into darkness, and Abeloth was an entity of darkness. Sarasu Taalon, the Sith of Kesh, became such an entity because of his interaction with Abeloth's world.

    "What's to say that that's not what these demons are? What's to say we aren't dealing with Abeloth-writ-large? Shouldn't we at least reach out to the Aing-Tii? To the Mind-Walkers? Shouldn't we know what we're doing before we teleport hither and thither?

    Cecil eyed Mephisto, the devil-bird. "So their dark side tinge is because of where they're from. Fine. Isn't that also the case with Hssis? With Tuk'ata?"

    William scowled at Cecil. "Did the Hssis and Tuk'ata wipe out entire worlds, murdering billions of beings in their wake? Why is it so hard for you to accept that we are dealing with something we've never seen before? These are physical beings that came forth by tearing a world open, Cecil. I've heard of Hell, but it has always been this abstract thing in books and spoken by elders. Never before have we encountered beings claiming from being from a place like it. Abeloth was one powerful entity, but what we have out there now...eating people, infiltrating their minds, devouring worlds. This is unprecedented and maybe if you would stop worshipping the Skywalker name and legacy you would see that."

    William wiped sweat from his brow. The debate he was having now was similar to the ones he had on the floor of the Senate, only there was more at stake here. He folded his arms and looked away from Cecil, he couldn't look at him right now, for William had tears in his eyes, but he would not let his friend see them.

    By the time Cecil realized he was shouting, it would be too embarrassing to back down. "Darth Nihilus devoured worlds. Abeloth devoured minds. The beast at your beck and call there reaks of the dark side, William, and the dark side produces nothing but scourges. You're a Jedi. You know better than all this."

    He bit his lip. His breathing slowed by his will.

    "But we can agree that the gate on Korriban should not be opened? And that I should talk to Gran about it?" Cecil wore an apology upon his face.

    A green light bathed the airlock as it completed its cycling. Zygor was dressed in a black tactical suit, sight against his body. He had strapped on light armor plating, unsure of what to expect. Normally he did not like wearing helmets or head gear of any kind, but this planet, the atmosphere was helium reach, very little oxygen so it was required. He had pulled on a light tactical helmet with motion sensors, an array of spectrum views and a rebreather that would last for hours.

    The airlock spiraled open but Zygor didn't bother extending the landing ramp. He took a step forward and simply fell the several meters to the ground, rolling into a crouch at the last minute. The immediate area was deserted but he could sense the taint all around him. He called the Force to him, burning with anger over teh death of his father, the Force acted as a shield. He would not give in to the demons.

    Zygor stretched his legs and then broke out into a run towards the village, keeping his eye out for someone coming to meet him.

    Tatooine orbit, well, what had once been Tatooine, anyway

    Garan was nudged from his musings by the arrival of his comrades, Snake, the Sith Exorcist, and Polk, Garan's fellow Csilla Cold. Unlike Polk, Garan specialised in Portal hopping, a skill his family seemed most potent with. Polk, for his part, focused upon heavy Force power, the other spectrum of the Csilla Colds. Garan liked to think his power was more in keeping with the Colds, but then he leaned towards the former Jedi end of Force use, he presupposed.

    Tatooine was bleeding, and Garan could only shake his head, as if trying to see through miasma. Snake and his dark side. Unfortunately, when it cleared, the planet was still as it was. "There isn't much of a world to purify. Get me a scan of that place. If we don't have a viable atmosphere, I'm scrubbing the mission. I'm not bleeding our blood so the Council-Senate can capture a world we can't live on."

    His muscles tensed, and he absently considered how long he would be in the demon realm if he popped over to Tatooine's surface and checked for himself. A few minutes? Maybe a little more? Would he be noticed?

    He shook his head, mentally, once more. Rely upon the scans, he thought, a bit sharply.

    Sipped his tea with two hands, his grip shaking. He hated when he got like this. He was so nervous now that it was hard for him to focus, concentrate, and keep his nerves down. Mephisto sensed William's oncoming panic attack and a whisker stretched out from the beast, slashing through the air to William to help the man to his feet. William rubbed the whisker and accepted the help.

    He sat down his tea, his hands were still shaking, but he had calmed down enough to talk. "Yes. I'm opening a portal with Nanal now, Gran is with her." The skill it took to open a portal was above average, one of the hardest disciplines to learn. Normally, markings would have to be drawn and there was a summoning, or opening, of the portal that would take either seconds, minutes, or hours, depending on the difficulty.

    It spoke magnitudes to William's expertise that he was able to open a portal from Coruscant to Korriban in seconds and even more so that he did it with one hand, but less than half a minutes later, Nanal's small body frame was appearing in front of Mephisto and Cecil. William took a seat on the ground and began drawing markings on his hands. He would be talking less, if at all, for it would now require most of his concentration for him to keep the portal open.

    The portal grew larger and Sith Grand Exorcist Gran came into the wavy visual, sitting in his large throne. From what Cecil had known about the man on their encounters, Gran was a man of little words and more action and easily the most stubborn human in the galaxy. His yellow eyes showed no signs that he was ready to compromise, but his impatience radiated through the Force.

    "Cecil, I suppose you're going to tell me to not summon the Demongate.I should have known you would not be man enough to bring this war to our enemies."

    As Zygor approached the village running, the apprentices behind him, a long line of warriors appeared to meet him before he got to the village. They were all dressed in purple robes and armor, and looked in no mood to tolerate invaders as they took defensive stances.

    One warrior stepped in front of them and held a palm outward towards Zygor. "Intruder, announce your name and what business you have here!"

    Snake did not turn to look at Garan, but began scanning the planet and spoke in a cutting monotone. "That is not your decision to make, Wrangler Kya. We will do as the Senate-Council has instructed, no more and, of course, no less." The Sith Exorcist then began to pilot the ship towards the planet, hailing the other ships behind them to do the same.

    Polk, a few years younger than Garan and Snake, did not say anything, but he did not want to go to the planet, either, though he was not going to speak out against Senate-Council. They had a job to complete. "So, are we going to have atmosphere down there or not?"

    "It appears we will, but we will have to wear suits. The air is thick with ash and sulfur dioxide, not to mention that surface heat is exceeding 150 degrees." Snake said again before sliding Garan a holographic image of the landscape to his side of the cockpit. There was a treacherous mountain pass, a deep and open valley, and the ruins of a city. All populated by demons. "Wrangler Kya, which area would you suggest as fitting for the base?"

    It didn't need to be said that he was asking Garan because, as the only one that could make suitably large enough portals to evacuate,he would need a place that he, and the Jedi after him, would be able to concentrate and clear a path enough to make portals. And they area would have to be able to be tactically defended.

    Zygor slowed to a trot as he felt Kel'dor presences approaching. As he stopped the apprentices fanned out in a straight line behind him. He strode forward alone.

    "I am Zygor Thanos, of the Korriban Black Academy. I am here to exorcise your demon." Zygor said, projecting confidence through the Force. "I will not brook interference."

    "Cecil, I suppose you're going to tell me to not summon the Demongate.I should have known you would not be man enough to bring this war to our enemies."

    Cecil pursed his lips. The Sith was an imposing figure, there on his throne. All the same, Cecil pushed forward with his point. "You're right. We don't know nearly enough about the portals, about the demons' realm...Hell, we don't know enough about the demons at all. They can wipe out worlds, Gran. It's too dangerous."

    He paused. There was a silence. Cecil shifted uncomfortably. "Also, I mean, 'Hi! How are you?! Long time no talk. How's the wife? The kids?' and all that." He nodded, waiting for a response.

    Tatooine orbit

    Garan scowled at the Sith. Perhaps the generations work could be undone by a stubborn dolt like Snake. The Csilla Cold paused, studying the map. "I think I have somewhere, one moment. Polt, lend me your power for a moment." Garan touched the younger being with the Force, drawing a link between them in his mind, and then Garan drank deep, focusing his attention.

    And then Garan opened a portal and vanished into it.

    Like that, he popped out of existence.

    He had mentally mapped where he would appear, but he had to go through the demonsrealm for more than a few minutes, to cover the distance, and then he'd appear. Garan already had the Force gathered around him to defend himself, retaining his concentration upon a few defensive spells. One day he'd learn to use a lightsaber - his great-great-grandfathers lightsaber - and then he'd be more capable, but for now he had to rely upon sorcery to defend him in the demonsrealm, and when he appeared on a flat plain at the top of an impromptu peak on Tatooine, created from the tectonic movement, but low enough, hopefully, that the cloud cover would not interfere with their construction, he'd need to be defended there.

    Preparing an environmental spell, he would have a minutes-long bubble to defend him from the poisoned atmosphere, and then he'd be back at the ship.

    All in all; four or five minutes in demonsrealm, another ten on Tatooine checking his spot, and then four or five minutes back in demonsrealm. It would be dangerous, particularly the return stretch, as the demons would be expecting him. They might even get a message to any nearby demons where he appeared on Tatooine.

    Another typical day in the Demon War.
