Dinner is served Ma'am! The "We need feeding!" Thread

Food! Keeps you going from day to day and sometimes tastes nice (depends who cooked it). But for CE we'll be away from those who can cook (I can cook btw ) and have to fend for ourselves. That means hundreds and thousands of fans descending on restaurants all over ExCel and further afield. The restaurants most probably have no idea what is going to hit them.

It's more than likely that we won't all be able to eat together, so there may well have to be smaller groups heading out to places. We can decide that on the day.

But before you go order some blue milk with a bantha stew, let's work out who needs feeding when and any particular dietry needs.

Types of food: Anything - chinese, Indian/Indonesian, English, Italian, etc

 

Who: Laura
Dietry: Vegetarian
When: Thursday night - Sunday night (leave Monday daytime)
Types of food: Pretty much anything that isn't hot and spicy!

 

Who: Erwin
Dietry: Carnivore
When: Friday night - Monday night (leave Tuesday daytime)
Types of food: Almost Anything but not too many vegetables with it though.

 

Who: Florian
Dietry: Omnivore
When: Tuesday lunch - Sunday early lunch (leave Sunday evening)

Just added another option, chatting to Laura made me remember not everyone likes certain types of food. Just add what you are ok with - I know there are people who don't like Indian, chinese etc. Ta!

I'll (and hopefully some of the London-based peeps) will look into reasonable to budget priced places. I fully understand how expensive CE is building up for people, so don't worry.

I did think a while back it'd be nice to maybe try various European cuisine (and maybe an American diner for our visiting pond cousins) so that we get the whole European out of Celebration Europe - but there are types of food places that are outside of that - Indian restaurants and a real cool Japanese place (Lord T can vouch for this, since he introduced me to the place) called Wagamama!

I think it'll be worth people forming groups of around 4 people when it comes to meal times. Getting tables for large groups causes many problems and seeming as it'll be very busy, it will make life so much easier for everyone. And realistically, you can't have a group conversation on a table of 8+ anyway.
That would be my advice and if people of similar food preferences stick together, then that makes things easy too...... blooming Veggies

Well, I know that a few (maybe up to 8) of us are going to Mar17swgirl's to eat on the Saturday, so that should be easier than going to a restaurant.
